When Hate Writes Back
Chapter 2 — The Boy I Instantly Hated
The halls smelled like cheap perfume, pencil shavings, and nerves. First days always did.
I kept my head down, clutching my schedule like it was a lifeline. If I moved fast enough, maybe nobody would notice the new girl weaving through unfamiliar corridors, pretending she belonged.
"Watch it."
The voice cut sharp against the noise. I looked up just in time to see him — tall, broad-shouldered, a little too good-looking for his own ego. His books had scattered onto the floor because I'd bumped him while turning a corner.
"Sorry," I muttered, crouching to help.
"Don't bother." He snatched them before I could touch a single page, eyes flicking up to mine with a glare sharp enough to slice. "Maybe try looking where you're going."
Heat crawled up my neck. My first five minutes here and I'd already run into him.
"Maybe try not blocking the hallway," I shot back, surprising myself with how fast the words flew out.
A smirk tugged at his lips — like he'd just discovered a new game. "Feisty. Cute."
I wanted to punch him.
Instead, I shoved past, forcing my steps to stay calm even though my heart was racing.
By the time I slipped into my first class, my hands were shaking. New school, new state, new start — and already one enemy.
That night, my laptop glowed in the dark. My fingers hovered over the keys before the words poured out.
"I think I met the world's most arrogant boy today. Tall, smug, the kind of guy who thinks he owns the hallway. I already hate him. I think I'll keep hating him."
The reply came minutes later.
"Sounds like he doesn't deserve your attention. Forget him. Focus on you. Besides, people aren't always who they seem at first glance."
I rolled my eyes, smiling despite myself. Easy for him to say. He wasn't the one stuck with that stupid boy in the same school.
If only I knew just how right he was.

So i wanted to tell you guys that this will be a short book only 20 chapters.To be honest i wasn't really sure of the plot that's why It's so short.But I only have a few jayfer ffs left so i decided to just write this one.
