Sienna's POV
I was already in his office when my father finally appeared. He looked tired and tense. The guilt was most likely eating him. In the past I wasn't as touchy with Lougi which was easier for him. Not this time.
"Bambino what's wrong"
"I want to be part of the heist" I said, voice steady, voice confident.
"No"
"This is the bank. I've studied every corner, every blind spot. See here?" I pointed at a shadowed section of the layout.
"You missed a few cameras like the one on the west wing next to the vault."
That was enough to grab his attention. He looked at the map, brow furrowing. "You've been watching this closely?"
I nodded. "I've been planning this for months. I was going to keep it to myself but then I noticed the bank tightening its security. We don't have enough time to change all the plans. I can help"
He rubbed his temples, the worry clear in his eyes. "Sienna, you don't have the training—"
"I don't need formal training," I interrupted. "I've learned everything from watching, from studying. I can do this. I have to."
He hesitated, searching my face.
"You're reckless. You don't understand what's at stake. This isn't just a game. If you get caught—"
"I won't," I said firmly.
"Let me prove it to you. Just give me one test. I'll do an obstacle course—something to show you I can handle myself."
His eyes widened in surprise but he didn't say no outright.
"Fine," he finally muttered.
"One test. But if you fail, this conversation is over."
I followed him out. I knew exactly where we were going. The pit. It was a training room of sorts that most of his men used. I've been here multiple times in my previous life. I knew the course by heart.
The room smelt like sweat and hot air. It didn't bother me. I took off my hoodie and sweat pants. I didn't have any training outfits so I was in my running gear.
My father watched silently, his expression unreadable. When I finished, I turned to face him, breath steady.
"So? Think I can do it?"
He looked at me, eyes filled with doubt but also something I could interpret as reluctant respect. Maybe it was the abrupt change in attitude.
"You did well," he said cautiously.
"Thank you"
He sighed heavily. "Alright," he finally said. "You're in. But I want you to understand—this is dangerous. No heroics. No unnecessary risks."
"I won't let you down," I promised, feeling a flicker of victory.

Later that evening, my dad gathered the team—the people I'd been watching, the rats as they were called in my previous life. We sat in a discreet room, maps and plans spread across the table.
"I've studied their new security," I began. "I've also made some modifications. I've changed some of the routes, some of the timing. I've also reduced the time allocated to the heist. The bank got a new feature that allows an automatic shutdown of the vault after 10 minutes of an alert. We need to be in and out of that bank in 10 minutes or that money is getting out blue "
They looked at me with a mixture of wariness and respect, but I didn't mind their judgment. I knew how to play this game. I'd been through worse to survive in Russia.
My phone dinged and I grabbed it.
[DNA results]
I opened the file, looked at the confirmation—Veronica was not my father's biological daughter. The truth was there, in black and white, and I knew what I had to do next. I was still his daughter and Veronica and I are half siblings.
I quickly hid my location and number and sent the results to my mother, making sure they were untraceable. She didn't have nor could she ask my father for help meaning her chances of finding out who it was were close to zero.
The meeting was dismissed after we selected the time and route we were going to take. I walked to my room while texting my mother.
[Who are you?]
[Why would you wanna know?]
[Do you know who I am? I will find you and when I do You'll regret this]
I stop when I hear someone crying.
I looked up to see Veronica was busy playing her victim card crying to Lougi, trying to paint herself as the innocent girl betrayed. She was clenching onto Lougi's arm.
"Please talk to her. I don't know what's wrong with her these days. She dresses indecently and always looks at me like I did something to her. Now …"
"Now she wants to go on this heist she'll only listen to you"
"Poor Veronica," I said softly as I approached her.
"Youre so worried about me. I'm sorry but I have to do it. For the family."
Her eyes flashed with anger, frustration, and something else I couldn't quite place. She tried to glare at me, but I simply smiled.
"Careful," I whispered. "You might pull a muscle and hurt yourself. Im doing this because my big sister is so fragile"
Her face twisted into a mask of outrage, but I didn't care. I knew how to turn her words into weapons, and I'd use her overconfidence to my advantage.

The car ride to the bank was tense. I sat quietly, staring out the window, feeling the weight of everything. I had to make sure I get the drive before both the Italians and the Russians. My heart wouldn't stop skipping a beat. My anxiety was finally going to rest in a few hours.
The rest of the crew already had their guns in hand. We ran a drill last night and it went perfectly. I put on my mask a Russian doll mask I saw when I was acting as a spy.
As the vehicle slowed. We were in an underground garage of a building we were able to buy yesterday.
"Remember turn on your timers immediately when the doors open. No one shoots unless you see a runner. No one talks except Carlos. No one bags the money except Lisa. keep it clean, quiet and fast."
"Yes boss"
Time to make history.
