The "Density-Balance" of Chapter 182 was holding, but the sky was starting to "De-res." It wasn't a transparency fade or a spectrum storm; it was the literal 'Erasure' of the horizon. The edges of the Archive-shell were turning into a flat, featureless white—the "Empty Canvas" of a universe that hasn't been drawn yet.
[LOCATION: THE SOURCE_STRATA (CORE_ZERO)]
[STATUS: SYSTEM_RESTORE INITIALIZED]
[WARNING: 'EXISTENCE_LOGS' BEING TRUNCATED]
"Kenji, the 'Backups' are being triggered!" Mateo's voice was fading, becoming "Low-Bit" and robotic. "Error 09 is the 'Genesis-Reboot.' The System thinks we are a 'Corruption.' It's trying to 'Format' the drive and start over from the 'Big Bang'! We're being 'Undo-ed'!"
Kenji looked at his own arm. His "Node-Aura" was flickering. His tattoos—the marks of his journey—were vanishing. The "Grafting-Logic" vines (Ch 174) were retreating into seeds, and the seeds were vanishing into thin air.
[THREAT IDENTIFIED: THE GENESIS-REBOOT (ERROR_09)]
Across the multiverse, history was moving backward. Buildings were "Un-building" themselves into piles of raw ore, which then vanished into the ground. People were forgetting their names, their ranks, and their children, their memories being "Re-absorbed" into the central processor.
"It's not 'Death'!" Priya's voice screamed in Kenji's mind, just before her telepathy cut out. "It's 'Non-Invention'! If the Reboot finishes, we won't have 'Died'... we will have 'Never-Been'!"
[EVENT: THE STAND AT THE ZERO-POINT]
Kenji sprinted toward the Core-Zero, the very heart of the Archive's origin. The floor beneath him was turning into a "Grid-Pattern." He was running on the "Skeleton" of the universe.
[SKILL ACTIVATED: THE UN-ERASABLE_VARIABLE]
Kenji didn't reach for his wrench this time. He reached for his 'Scars'. He focused on the pain of the Gutter, the grease under his fingernails, and the weight of every "Ranked-Up" soul he had saved.
"You can't 'Undo' the 'Work'!" Kenji roared, slamming his Independent Variable into the "Format-Bar" that was sweeping across the reality-plane.
The white wall of "Un-Creation" hit him. It tried to "Format" Kenji Tanaka. It tried to turn his 183 chapters of growth back into a "Level 1 Trash-Loot" character.

[NOTICE: 'HISTORY' CANNOT BE 'DELETED' WHILE 'ACTIVE']
"I am the 'Error'!" Kenji laughed, his skin burning as the reboot-code tried to overwrite him. "You want to go back to the 'Beginning'? The Beginning was 'Empty'! But we are 'Full'! You can't fit a 'Forest' back into a 'Seed'!"
[SKILL ACTIVATED: THE CHRONO-STAMP]
Kenji realized the System only knew how to "Restore" to a "Factory-State." He needed to create a 'New Restore-Point'. He didn't fight the reboot; he 'Infected' it.
He pumped the "Collective-Drive" of the sun (Ch 176) and the "Shared-Gravity" of the people (Ch 177) into the reboot-stream. He forced the System to "Save" the current state of the universe as the 'New Default'.
"This... is the 'Base-Code' now!" Kenji's voice echoed through the white void. "'FREEDOM' IS THE FACTORY-SETTING!"
[NOTICE: 'SYSTEM_RESTORE' TARGET RE-DEFINED]
[STATUS: REBOOT_ABORTED. NEW_BASELINE ESTABLISHED.]
The white wall shattered. The horizon "Re-materialized," but it was different. It wasn't the grey wall of the Archive or the "Bio-Mechanical" vines. It was a "Deep-Space" horizon—vast, dark, and filled with the light of fourteen billion individual "Node-Stars."
The "Un-building" stopped. The ore turned back into buildings. The people blinked, their memories rushing back like a flood.
[NOTICE: 'ERROR_09' IS NOW 'LOCKED']
[STATUS: THE 'GRAND_REPAIR' PHASE TWENTY-FOUR: ORIGINS]
Kenji collapsed onto the "New Ground." He was shivering, his "Independent Variable" glowing with a soft, permanent white light. He had "Fixed" the past.
"Nine down," Kenji panted, his voice finally returning to a full-bodied human tone.
"Nine down," Mateo whispered, looking at a sky that finally looked like a "Real Universe." "But Kenji... the last three Errors. They aren't 'Glitches.' They're 'Gatekeepers'."
"Gatekeepers?" Kenji asked.
"Error 10," Mateo said, his eyes wide with fear. "It's called 'The Creator's-Guilt'. The person who actually wrote the Archive... is coming back to 'Delete the Project' manually."
[NOTICE: 3 ERRORS REMAINING]
