Chapter 215 - Violent Shenhe, Enthusiastic Yanfei, Proactive Yoimiya

While Yoimiya was watching Shenhe, she approached her.

She sensed that this Cryo Vision bearer had a very cold personality.

"Miss Yoimiya, that white-haired lady is an adeptus disciple who lives in seclusion in Jueyun Karst. Her personality is naturally distant," Atsuko explained quietly.

"I've seen her a few times and heard some things. Speaking of which, Chef Mao's daughter, Xiangling, also has a Pyro Vision like you. And there's Director Hu Tao of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor."

During her time in Liyue, Atsuko hadn't just been staring at the sea. She had gathered information and learned about the famous figures of the city.

Whether it was Xiangling, Hu Tao, or Yanfei, she knew of them.

"They all sound impressive," Yoimiya raised an eyebrow.

Wanmin Restaurant, Wangsheng Funeral Parlor... the names sounded interesting.

Meanwhile, the stall owner was grinning at Shenhe. "20,000 Mora per Cor Lapis. I'm offering a slightly higher price because you look as beautiful as an adeptus, miss. If you find more in the future, bring them all to me. I'll buy as much as you have."

"Alright," Shenhe tilted her head.

300,000 Mora was 300,000 Mora.

It was enough to buy three jars.

Shenhe handed over the Cor Lapis.

"Hehe."

The stall owner chuckled greedily as he took the fifteen pieces of high-quality ore. His eyes gleamed with avarice.

Cor Lapis of this quality... I've hit the jackpot today.

"Wait a moment, miss. I'll get the Mora for you right now."

He hurriedly began counting out the cash.

"You unscrupulous merchant! Scamming people in broad daylight!"

Just as the owner finished speaking, a voice rang out, full of righteous indignation. The owner froze.

A young woman with coral-colored hair, wearing a distinctive hat, glared at him. Yanfei looked furious. "As a merchant in Liyue, do you not know the laws?"

"It's people like you who ruin Liyue's reputation! Lady Ningguang works hard to make this city prosperous, and you drag it down!"

"Setting up a stall in Liyue means strictly abiding by the laws!"

Yanfei threw a thick legal codex onto the counter. The title read: "General Laws of Liyue".

"Miss Yanfei..."

The stall owner's face paled.

Yes, trading in Liyue required following the law. But that didn't stop people from exploiting loopholes or scamming clueless foreigners.

He had planned to scam Shenhe and then close up shop for the day, maybe even quit entirely with this massive profit.

He never expected to run into Liyue's top legal advisor.

Yanfei was livid.

This scammer dared to target a Vision bearer. If he angered her and she lashed out, it would be a disaster for public order and Liyue's image.

Liyue had zero tolerance for fraud. Violators went straight to jail.

Shenhe, realizing she had been deceived, stared blankly at the stall owner.

Then, she reached out.

She grabbed the man by his collar, slammed his head onto the pavement, and proceeded to bounce it like a ball.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Ahhhh!"

"It hurts! It hurts!"

The stall owner screamed in agony. "I was wrong! Miss Adeptus, I was wrong! Greed blinded me! Please spare me!"

"Hss."

Yanfei sucked in a breath.

Shenhe is... violent.

This was the third Cryo Vision user she had met. Eula was elegant, Qiqi was a zombie, and Shenhe... was a homicidal hermit.

"Another Pyro Vision user."

Yoimiya noticed Yanfei's Vision and smiled.

Are Vision users this common in Liyue?

And they all seemed strong. Compared to the suppressed atmosphere in Inazuma, these people radiated confidence.

"That is Yanfei, Liyue's top legal advisor," Atsuko whispered. "Like you, she has a Pyro Vision. Legend has it she has memorized tens of thousands of laws and can handle any case perfectly."

"Hehe, thanks for the compliment!"

Hearing Atsuko's whisper, Yanfei smiled and walked over. "Hello, Miss Atsuko. And this must be Miss Yoimiya?"

She had overheard their earlier conversation.

Yanfei looked at Yoimiya with curiosity. Another Pyro girl.

She only knew Hu Tao and Xiangling. Finding a third was exciting.

"Hello!" Yoimiya beamed. "Another Pyro user! Nice to meet you!"

"What's going on here?"

A patrol of Millelith soldiers arrived, drawn by the screams.

Shenhe was still holding the bloody, sobbing merchant.

"Holy crap, that guy is getting wrecked."

"Beating people in the street? That girl is in trouble."

"Nah, that guy is a known scammer. He probably deserved it."

The crowd gossiped excitedly. A public beatdown was rare entertainment.

Seeing the Millelith, Shenhe expressionlessly dropped the man and picked up her Cor Lapis.

"Here's what happened," Yanfei stepped forward to mediate.

After hearing Yanfei's explanation, the Millelith captain looked at the groaning merchant with disgust.

"Take him away," he ordered his subordinates.

In Liyue, fraud was a direct challenge to the Qixing's authority. And Yanfei's word was as good as gold.

The captain turned to Shenhe apologetically. "My apologies, miss. We will punish this merchant severely. If you have any requests for compensation, please state them."

Fraud was taken seriously, especially after the Liuli Pavilion and Xinyue Kiosk monopoly scandal had forced Ningguang to intervene personally.

"None," Shenhe replied coldly.

She had beaten him, he was arrested, and she had her stones back. She was satisfied.

"If you want to sell Cor Lapis, I can take you to a reputable place," Yanfei offered with a smile. "There are four main places for ore trading: Wanyou Boutique, Jade Mystery, Mingxing Jewelry, and the Feiyun Commerce Guild."

"Jade Mystery is for gambling on stones, but they buy high-quality ore. Given the quality of yours, Wanyou Boutique might be a good start. Want me to help?"

Yanfei loved helping people. And she hated scammers.

"I'll listen to you. Thank you for the trouble," Shenhe nodded.

She had planned to ask Hu Tao for advice, but this helpful girl was here now.

"Um, can I come too?"

Yoimiya chimed in. "It's my first time in Liyue, and I'd love to tag along."

She wanted to make friends with these strong, interesting locals.

"Of course!" Yanfei agreed readily.

She wanted to get to know Yoimiya too.

"Great!" Yoimiya grinned.

Atsuko and Midori followed silently.

"By the way, Sister Shenhe, where did you get so much high-quality Cor Lapis?" Yanfei asked as they walked. "If you don't need money urgently, you could auction these at the Feiyun Guild."

The quality was insane. Selling them directly felt like a waste.

"Urgent need," Shenhe said concisely. "Need money to open jars."

The Shopkeeper had said the cooldown was weekly. She needed to buy her next batch as soon as possible to start the timer for the next one.

She had come to Liyue specifically to gamble.
