Chapter 17 - The Past Cyclizar, The Future Koraidon

Electroweb: Catches the opponent with an electric net to attack, lowering their speed.

It had to be said, this Caterpie's luck was absolutely defying the heavens.

Caterpie was pleasantly surprised by its own transformation.

Through the events of the past two days, it roughly understood that its changes were due to the food.

Food could make it stronger!

Caterpie immediately looked at Leo with anticipation.

"No!" Leo shook his head firmly. "Don't bite off more than you can chew. Wait until you've mastered the move you learned today first!"

More importantly, the effect of the [Berry Platter] was uncontrollable.

No one could guarantee what would happen after repeated consumption.

This time, luck was on their side, and it learned Electroweb. But next time, bad luck might strike, causing it to forget all its moves entirely.

"Sss-wu..."

Caterpie thought about it and felt that what Leo said made perfect sense. It immediately decided to practice this newly learned powerful move diligently and master it completely.

Only then could it become even stronger!

Caterpie's heart was filled with fighting spirit.

But before that, it had to thank Leo properly.

"Sss-wu~"

Caterpie affectionately touched Leo's arm with its antennae to express its gratitude.

Leo smiled and said, "Go rest for now."

Caterpie nodded obediently, turned around, and shuffled to the corner to rest.

Leo, however, looked down at the empty white porcelain plate.

"I must be cautious in the future. I can't just make this dish casually."

Leo etched this warning into his mind, worried he might accidentally turn Cyclizar and Koraidon into idiots if he wasn't careful.

Having finished the grilled fish, Koraidon and Cyclizar wore satisfied expressions, sitting on the floor and licking the corners of their mouths.

Leo glanced at the two goofy-looking dragons and couldn't help but smile.

The temperature dropped on rainy nights, making it feel chilly outside.

But thanks to the fireplace, the room was toasty and warm.

In this cozy environment, the three well-fed Pokémon soon began to yawn, drifting into drowsiness.

Having relaxed all day, Leo wasn't sleepy yet.

He moved a wooden stool in front of the fireplace and sat down. Following the patterns in The Rancher's Encyclopedia, he began to draw the corresponding crop icons onto the wooden signs he had made.

Leo carved earnestly.

The dancing flames in the fireplace cast his shadow against the wall behind him, flickering gently.

Caterpie was already snoring.

Cyclizar, lying by the bed, lifted its head to look over. Seeing that Leo wasn't coming to sleep yet, it got up and walked over.

The firelight illuminated Cyclizar's red scales. Leo turned his head to glance at it.

"Gaa-ow~"

Cyclizar yawned, then lay down obediently beside Leo, keeping him company as he worked.

Seeing this, Leo felt a warmth in his heart. He smiled and was about to continue working when he heard Koraidon's footsteps behind him.

Turning around, he saw Koraidon walking over too. Just like Cyclizar, it lay down on his other side.

Koraidon looked at Cyclizar with dissatisfaction.

Damn it, it beat me to it!

Staying by its master's side, Cyclizar relaxed completely. It closed its eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep, completely unaware of its future self's glare.

Seeing its appearance, Koraidon felt like it had punched cotton.

Koraidon sighed. It lay on the floor, resting its head on its front paws, memories of the past surfacing in its mind.

It remembered that shortly after it first came to Leo's side, it had also encountered a Koraidon.

At the time, it didn't know. But thinking back now, that Koraidon must have been itself.

Later, as a Cyclizar, it fell into the time machine and was transformed into Koraidon by a mysterious power.

So here comes the question: Will this current Cyclizar become Koraidon just like it did?

Thinking of this, Koraidon felt its brain turn into mush.

It didn't know why it had become like this, nor could it understand the process. It couldn't even distinguish who was who anymore.

Is it Koraidon... or is it Cyclizar?

Koraidon confused itself so much that it felt like spinning stars were circling its head. In the end, it gave up thinking.

Regardless, as long as it could return to Leo's side, that was enough.

Hearing Koraidon's sigh, Leo turned his head and asked, "Why the sudden sigh?"

Does the Winged King have worries too?

Is it because it lost the territory battle to the other Koraidon?

Recalling the game's plot, Leo comforted it, "Don't worry. Once you recover, you'll definitely be able to beat that guy."

Although he didn't have Herba Mystica, the dishes he made shouldn't be too far off. There had to be a dish that could help Koraidon recover its strength.

Leo was full of confidence, but Koraidon was full of question marks.

"Agias?"

Leo encouraged, "Don't overthink it. We'll find a way!"

"Agias~"

Seeing Leo like this, Koraidon's mood instantly brightened.

It sat up, leaned in, and delivered a full-face slobber attack.

Leo struggled to push it away, deliberately putting on a stern face. "No licking people randomly in the future."

Seeing Leo angry, Koraidon immediately put on a pitiful expression.

Leo: "..."

Sigh, whatever. Do what you want!

The next morning, the sky was bright, and the fire in the fireplace had burned out.

The rain had stopped, and the sky returned to its usual clarity.

Leo walked out of the cabin, breathing in the fresh air, feeling refreshed and energized.

He stretched. A new day was beginning!

Putting on his shoes and holding the prepared signs, Leo went to the farmland and inserted the signs in front of the corresponding crop plots.

Having just rained, droplets of water still clung to the leaves on the trees.

While Leo worked, Caterpie came outside. It climbed a large tree and began to eat fresh leaves while watching Leo, Cyclizar, and Koraidon working nearby.

I must work hard to become stronger! Not only to prove to those Pokémon who looked down on it that it wasn't weak, but also to thank Leo. Only by evolving into the strongest Butterfree could it help Leo!

So, after eating a few leaves, Caterpie began to practice Electroweb on its own.

After placing the signs, Leo took Koraidon and Cyclizar to the west side of the ranch.

This area hadn't been cleared yet. Weeds and trees grew everywhere; it was a mess.

This time, Leo planned to cut down all the trees in this area to build the Coop.

He had already saved enough funds for construction; all that was left was the lumber and stone.

In two days at most, he could go to Porto Marinada, commission Robin at the carpenter's shop to build the Coop, and officially start his farming empire.
