Chapter 102 - Chapter 94: The Glass House, The Broken King, and The New Administration

[ Location: The Upside Down - Creel House Attic ][ Date: November 1st, 1985 - Time: Frozen ]

I launched.

I flew across the room, the Void Blade screaming as it cut through the stagnant air.

Vecna didn't dodge.

He just glared, his eyes like two chips of dirty ice.

"This house is my body," he hissed, his voice wet and scraping. "And you are just a insect awaiting to die."

The floorboards erupted. Sharp, jagged wood shot up like shark teeth, aiming to impale me mid-air.

The walls groaned, closing in to crush me.

'Oh no you don't.'

I stared at the wood.

'Atomic Rearrangement: Glass.'

[ Ability Active: Psychokinesis (Divine). ]

I rewrote the wood;

The rotting timber rippled and the brown turned to transparent crystal.

CRACK.

I smashed through the spikes like they were sugar candy.

Shards of glass rained down around me, glittering in the red lightning like diamonds.

"Surprise Surprise, Henry!" I yelled, bringing the sword down.

I swung.

Vecna caught the blade again, but this time, his confidence cracked.

The Vibranium in the alloy bit into his skin, drinking the kinetic energy of the impact instantly. Smoke rose from his palm.

"You are annoying," Vecna growled, grabbing my throat with his free hand.

His grip was very tight.

he used his mind to grip my neck more tightly.

"Die."

My Aether Core flared, pushing back against the intrusion.

"No," I choked out, swinging my legs up to kick him.

I looked at the floor beneath us. It was still wood.

'Change.'

I turned the entire attic floor into Sand.

The support beams vanished.

The floor disintegrated.

Gravity took over.

"Going down!"

We fell. Through the attic, through the second floor, crashing through the chandelier of the foyer.

BOOM.

We hit the ground hard. Dust and sand exploded everywhere.

I rolled, coughing, getting to my feet.

My ribs ached.

My mana was draining fast—maintaining reality warping on this scale was very hard for me currently.

Vecna stood up from the rubble.

He looked damaged. His skin was torn, leaking black ichor. But the vines on the walls were already slithering toward him, plugging into his back, pumping him full of hive-mind energy.

He was regenerating.

He wiped black blood from his lip, staring at me with genuine disgust.

"You fight for a world that doesn't mean anything to you," Vecna said, his voice quiet, personal. "You act like a hero, Vivan. But we both know what you are and you're a not from this world."

" May be I am not a hero," I spat, wiping blood from my mouth. "But I'm evicting you."

"Are you?" Vecna stepped closer. "You stole this power. The telekinesis. The magic. You didn't suffer for it in the labs. You didn't bleed for it in the dark. You just... took it."

He pointed a clawed finger at my chest.

"You think because you hold the sword, so you are a knight? You are nothing in front of me."

"Is that so" I said, gripping the hilt tighter because he was getting annoying. "But this knight just broke your nose."

Vecna's face twisted.

The calm mask shattered, revealing the raw, ugly hate underneath.

"ENOUGH!"

He raised both hands and threw Psychic Implosion.

The air pressure in the room dropped to zero.

My bones creaked. It felt like the ocean was sitting on my shoulders. He was trying to snap me like a twig, from the inside out.

'Internal Reinforcement.'

[ Ability Active: Aether (Body Fortification). ]

I flooded my muscles and bones with white energy.

I fought the pressure, inch by inch.

"I... am... not... losing," I gritted out, blood vessels popping in my eyes.

I took a step forward.

Then another.

Vecna looked shocked.

For the first time, he looked unsure. "How? How do you still have that much power left?"

"I eat fear," I whispered, my eyes flashing orange for a second. "And right now? You smell delicious."

I needed to end this.

He was drawing power from the house. From the dimension so I had to cut the cord.

'Shadow Clones.'

[ Ability Active. ]

Two copies of me burst from the smoke behind him.

Vecna spun around, confused. "Tricks! Cheap tricks!"

The Clones attacked the Vines.

SLASH. SLASH.

The Void Blades cut the black cables connecting Vecna to the house. The life support was severed.

Vecna screamed.

It was a sound of pure loss. "MY CONNECTION!"

He stumbled, his power flickering like a dying bulb.

'Now.'

I charged.

I didn't use magic or any tricks.

I drove the Void Blade straight through his chest.

SHING.

The blade punched through his ribs, through the black heart, and out the other side, pinning him to the staircase banister.

The sword hummed violently. It wasn't just cutting; it was drinking. It sucked the kinetic energy, the psychic residue, the very will out of him.

Vecna grabbed the blade, his hands smoking. He looked at me. His eyes were wide, human, and scared.

"You..." he gasped, black sludge bubbling past his lips. "You... are a disease to this world and it will be destroyed becuase of you."

"I'm the cure, Nose cut" I whispered, leaning close. "And your subscription just expired."

I twisted the blade.

and Vecna...

He turned to ash.

Starting from the wound, his body flaked away, dissolving into grey dust. His consciousness screamed as it was ripped out of the Hive Mind's driver seat.

The ash drifted to the floor.

The house shook one last time.

And then... silence.

The red lightning stopped. The thunder ceased.

The vines on the walls stopped writhing and went limp, dormant.

I walked to the front door and looked out.

The sky of the Upside Down was changing. The angry, bleeding red clouds swirled and faded, replaced by a deep, calm Violet.

The color of my aura.

The air settled and toxicity dropped.

I sat down on the porch steps, exhausted.

My sword clattered to the ground.

I looked at my hand.

The Abyss Mark—the spiral eye—was still there. It burned slightly.

The Neighbors were still watching and the Old Ones were still sleeping in the deep.

"I won the kingdom," I whispered, closing my eyes. "Now I just have to keep the gates shut."

I tapped into the Hive Mind.

I felt them.

Every Demodog. Every vine. Every spore.

They were waiting for my order.

"Sleep," I commanded.

The dimension went quiet.

"I have an army now," I muttered, a tired grin spreading across my face. "Let's see if it's enough."
