In a dark, shadowy area Infront of an abandoned company, a boy in a dark black hood and black sweat pants with short hair wearing a mask was standing in front of two huge men in black masks.
"What can I do to join?..." The boy asked
"Sorry, no."
"Wh…"
Before the boy could finish, one of the men moved less than an inch of his face, glaring directly into his eyes, his own iris glowing a gentle blue, followed by a growl.
"Leave kid."
But instead of fear, the boy smiled, revealing his own purple iris and black white.
"No"
This stunned the man for less than a second before he stood straight entered the factory, then returned, allowing him to enter.
"Follow me"
The boy, Claude, followed the man into the company, which was full of many people, each standing around camp fire.
The moment the boy entered the company, all of them turned to glare at him.
But assuming that Claude followed the man into a private lounge where a man with blue hair and who had the build of a bodybuilder but more flexible.
Around him were many girls, each dressed seductively and showering him with their attention.
*The f#ck is wrong with this generation and sex?*Claude complained
*Look whose talking*
Claude looked at the man assuming Asher's words knowing he couldn't win an argument against the embodiment of his inner demons.
The man waved his hands casually, and all the girls left.
"So you want to join the Radek pack?"
"Yes"
"Why?"
"I want refuge…and a family…"
Claude said using his most tired, desperate, and longing voice.
The man who brought him gave him a document containing all of Claude's supposed information.
"Alan Kyatri…you've had it rough…Most family members died in a fire caused by your powers, and your extended family sent assassins after you…That's good."
After seemingly careful considerations, he smiled.
"Oh, apologies…I'm called Trogen Radek, the one in command in this pack…welcome, pyromancer Alan, follow D'lark to your registration."
"Thank you…sir" Claude said, following D'lark
Asher was confused why Claude was infiltrating a criminal base instead of dealing with it from his stronghold, making Claude have to explain that it wasn't as simple as it seemed, the real threats were probably hiding in the shadows…and waiting for the right moment to strike.
Claude also explained that it was also to look for real team mates.
At the reception, unlike a normal procedure, he was given a stone that he had to give a drop of his blood.
*Interesting…the stone is keeping a note of your DNA like a tracker of sorts. Asher analyzed
*Is there any way I can overwrite it…*
*Yes, use your new awakened bloodline so that when you return to human form, it can't sense you*
With that, Claude transformed using his new bloodline.
"You are a C-rank, your code name is Ghostfire. Follow the stone's instructions it will lead you to you're new teammates" D'lark said leaving
*Am I that annoying?...jeez* Claude thought exasperated.
*Trust me you have no f#cking idea*
*No shit sherlock…screw you*
Claude thought making sure his mask fit him well. Since he knew the reason Trogen didn't tell him to open it was he assumed he had PTSD due to his face injury but knew it was only a matter of time…
With that Claude now Ghost moved to a group at the far end assuming all the death glares.
"I'm Ghost…Hope we get along."
Claude said half-heartedly, making a huge guy glare at him.
*The green-haired one is probably the sword user and leader…the girl tracker…the asshole…the tank…I'm probably just unlucky*
"Hello, I'm Scorpion…the leader," The green one with a neck tattoo and the body of an athlete with a sword said.
"I'm Sapphire…tracker."
"I'm Tray the tank."
"I'm an assassin-type sword user…"
Claude said, making all of them look at him like a dead man.
"Look, bro, you're new, everybody here is here for their own reasons, but that doesn't mean you won't get betrayed, so understand you're alone…" Scorpion explained kindly.
Making Claude notice some looking at him like prey. And with that went outside with the aim of texting Diren on information found.
But as Claude went outside, a bunch of people followed him around, cornering him.
"Give us your stone…"
"Why?...ok"
Claude said, giving it to them, making them confused.
"Oh, D'lark didn't explain things to you…let me help you…You see, in here we get food stuff through points, and those are earned through missions…and I can transfer points by touching them together, and since yours has no pin I can transfer."
"Oh"
Claude said now smiling coldly and his iris was glowing purple and white black. Claude moved managing to strike each one off them off guard, skillfully managing to maneuver avoiding their attacks before releasing a bit of black lightning managing to stun them and giving no chance for retaliation.
Noticing a knife on one of them Claude took it slashing a deep but harmless injury onto their chests, taking all their points and moving back inside.
*It was nice finally getting to stretch…*
*Bro you're being watched*
*I know*
And after finishing Claude went back inside. Meanwhile on the roof Trogen stood looking down smiling.
Inside the company everyone looked at Ghost with fear and disbelief not believing he could actually kill the group.
But Claude not caring simply went and sat with his group assuming their stunned gazes and starting to scroll on social media.
*Why the hell are you so calm?...The infiltration was to easy and the leader…*Asher ranted
*Calm down will you…*
*Calm down?...bro you're in a group of super humans in a pack of super naturals and all of them with spy qualities and suspicious abilities!…*
*Fine…The leader is my spy and this pack as you call it is independent, and was under Diren's control until spies as you said infiltrated*
Claude continued to explain that this was just a part the real deal was in control of a noble who had a lot of backing so the first goal was to regain his shadows, which was a necessity for all nobles.
They could not attack directly since his image as a degenerate makes it seem like joining him is a lost cause, but what really annoyed him was the fact that the Rylia's were involved in the case and most likely backing the noble.
With Claude's current power he could kill all the people there but still he didn't know much about the 'ARCANE BLOODLINES' for all he knew they might either be gods or their descendants but he still did not loose his main goal of getting back his power in his territory as weird as it sounded.
Claude was not worried since his main police force and army had been sent to the border to fight monsters and keep things as normal as possible for the inhabitants and what warriors care about was serving a strong and worthy king, a condition Claude could easily fulfil.
*But why not just use brute force as you usually do?*
Asher asked confused, the one who destroyed when bored was actually using brains for once in a century.
*In politics you can't do that you can't even catch a criminal you are sure without constitutional chains…and screw you*
Claude finished catching the sarcastic remark.
