Volume II Finale
The crack above the underground capital continued to widen.
Reality screamed.
Not metaphorically.
The world itself produced a sound—a low, agonizing vibration—as existence struggled to contain what was emerging.
The Watchers were gone.
Not defeated.
Gone.
Fled.
Abandoned their mission.
Abandoned the battlefield.
Abandoned everything.
Because whatever was coming through the Door frightened them more than the King's bloodline ever could.
The eye within the fracture stared downward.
Watching.
Remembering.
Waiting.
And then—
A hand emerged.
Human.
Almost.
Five fingers.
Pale skin.
Black cracks spreading beneath it like veins of broken reality.
The hand grabbed the edge of the fracture.
And pulled.
The crack doubled in size.
Everyone felt it.
Null.
Hyung.
D U.
Eris.
Caelum.
Luxion.
Adrax.
Even Aizeno.
Especially Aizeno.
For the first time since Null had met him—
Aizeno looked shaken.
Not surprised.
Not curious.
Terrified.
Null stared at him.
"You know him."
Aizeno remained silent.
The figure continued climbing through.
One arm.
Then another.
A torso.
Humanoid.
Tall.
Wearing torn black clothing that looked older than recorded history.
The face remained hidden beneath shadows.
But the smile—
The smile was visible.
And it was wrong.
Not evil.
Not cruel.
Just empty.
Like someone who had already seen the end of every story.
The First Failure stepped into reality.
The underground capital immediately began collapsing.
Entire sections vanished.
Not destroyed.
Erased.
As if they had never existed.
D U's expression hardened.
"Everybody move."
Nobody argued.
They retreated instinctively as the space around the First Failure folded inward.
Null didn't move.
The figure's head slowly turned toward him.
Then—
It smiled wider.
"Interesting."
The voice sounded completely normal.
Human.
That somehow made it worse.
The First Failure took a single step.
Every remaining Watcher eye in the sky shattered instantly.
Thousands of them.
Gone.
Without resistance.
Without a fight.
The battlefield fell silent.
Adrax moved.
For the first time.
Not toward Null.
Not toward the gate.
Toward the First Failure.
Shadows erupted from his colossal form, consuming half the battlefield as he unleashed power capable of crushing cities.
The attack landed.
The darkness swallowed the First Failure completely.
A moment passed.
Then another.
Nothing.
Then—
The shadows split apart.
The First Failure walked through them untouched.
Adrax froze.
The impossible had happened.
The attack had connected.
It simply didn't matter.
The First Failure looked at Adrax.
"You grew weaker."
Then he flicked a finger.
That's all.
One finger.
Adrax disappeared.
Not killed.
Not wounded.
Gone.
Thrown beyond the battlefield by a force nobody present could even perceive.
Luxion's face lost all color.
Eris took a step backward.
Caelum couldn't speak.
The First Failure turned again.
Toward Aizeno.
Silence.
Heavy.
Terrible silence.
Aizeno stared back.
For several seconds neither moved.
Then the First Failure spoke.
"You survived."
Aizeno answered quietly.
"So did you."
The First Failure laughed softly.
"No."
The smile widened.
"I didn't."
The temperature dropped.
Reality fractured around him.
Null felt something deep inside his inheritance react violently.
The black blade trembled.
The spiral in his eye burned.
The King had known this thing.
Feared this thing.
Sealed this thing.
The First Failure looked directly at Null.
And suddenly—
Null understood.
Not everything.
Just enough.
The First Failure wasn't a monster.
Wasn't an Entity.
Wasn't a Watcher.
He had once been human.
Like Null.
Like Hyung.
Like Aizeno.
Like the King.
A failed heir.
A failed successor.
Someone who reached beyond the Door—
And came back wrong.
The First Failure smiled.
"You carry his blood."
Null tightened his grip.
"I do."
"And his hope."
"...Yes."
The smile faded.
For the first time.
A strange sadness appeared in the First Failure's eyes.
Then he looked toward the broken gate.
Toward the inheritance.
Toward the collapsing world.
And he spoke the words that froze everyone.
"The King failed."
Silence.
Then—
"No."
The answer came from Null.
Firm.
Certain.
The First Failure looked at him.
Null stepped forward.
Despite the pressure.
Despite the fear.
Despite everything.
"He didn't fail."
The black blade ignited.
Old Prime surged around him.
Hyung stepped beside him.
Then D U.
Then Eris.
Then Caelum.
One by one.
Not because they believed they could win.
Because they chose to stand.
The First Failure watched them quietly.
Then he smiled again.
Not mockingly.
Not cruelly.
Almost approvingly.
"Good."
The crack behind him expanded.
An endless darkness waiting beyond it.
He began stepping backward.
Returning toward the Door.
But before vanishing—
He looked directly at Null.
And left one final message.
"When the final Door opens..."
The smile disappeared.
"...find me before Aizeno does."
Then he was gone.
The fracture sealed.
The pressure vanished.
The Watchers disappeared completely.
The battlefield fell silent.
Only the ruined capital remained.
Only the survivors.
Only the questions.
For a long time nobody spoke.
Then D U finally broke the silence.
"...So."
Hyung sighed.
"So."
Eris folded her arms.
"So."
Null stared at the place where the First Failure had vanished.
And quietly asked:
"What exactly is Aizeno trying to bring back?"
Nobody answered.
Because nobody knew.
Far away—
Beyond reality.
Beyond the Door.
Beyond the sight of the Watchers.
Aizeno stood alone in darkness.
His expression unreadable.
Before him floated a single ancient throne.
Empty.
Waiting.
And for the first time in centuries—
Aizeno knelt.
