Kai lay on the couch with a blanket over his legs, one hand lazily resting on his stomach. Enzo sat at the other end, laptop open, typing "unique baby names" into a search bar with the intensity of someone researching ancient prophecy.
Kai raised an eyebrow.
"Enzo, babe… you're looking at names from a fantasy novel generator."
"They're creative!" Enzo insisted. "Our kids deserve epic options."
Kai snorted. "Right. Because nothing says subtle like naming our daughter *Dragonflame Starshard*."
Enzo sighed dramatically and closed the laptop.
"Fine. Normal names. But they still have to feel right."
They both fell quiet, the soft glow of their living room lights reflecting on the walls. After a moment, Kai murmured:
"What about… Rezena?"
Enzo looked up instantly.
"Rezena…" He repeated it softly, letting it settle in the air. "It's beautiful. It sounds like her."
Kai smiled, rubbing a slow circle over his stomach.
"Yeah. I don't know why, but it just… fits."
Enzo scooted closer, resting his palm next to Kai's.
"Our daughter. Rezena."
They sat with the name for a minute, both smiling in that quiet, glowing way.
"Okay," Enzo said, clearing his throat with sudden determination, "then what about our boy? We need something strong. Something classic."
Kai thought for a moment, then said simply:
"Matthew."
Enzo's expression melted instantly — that soft, heart-full look he only got when something genuinely hit him.
"Matthew," he whispered. "Kai… that's perfect."
Kai shrugged, pretending to be casual even though he was clearly emotional.
