Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

"Hmm, I don't understand."

"Come to my room after school when no one is around, okay?"

If this were a manga or a game, it would mean a confession of love from Cyril. But I understand that such a thing is impossible in reality.

I, who was called a great sage at a young age, wasn't unpopular. However, it's only been two days since I came to this academy, and from Cyril's serious expression, I can tell it's not that kind of matter.

"Is it a serious life consultation, or did she discover some kind of foul play by a teacher or student?"

She asked me beforehand if I would not yield to authority, so it's probably something like that. She mentioned my vast knowledge, but her knowledge of magical artifacts was also beyond that of a student.

It's still a guess, but she probably wants to pursue such a career in the future, but her family might not allow it. A noble's daughter wanting to work with magical artifacts probably wouldn't be permitted.

However, if that's the case, I definitely want to support her. There might be issues with her social status or family, but no one has the right to interfere with a young person's dreams.

"Well, I'll listen to Cyril's story tomorrow."

"...Hey, I've received 20 complaints today. What kind of classes are you teaching?!"

And then, night. As with yesterday, Anon has come to my room in the teachers' dormitory. I'm currently enjoying the supreme cold beer and delicious meal after work.

...Is this guy more free than I thought?

"Those guys are really unnecessarily fast with their work. Don't worry, I just threw chalk at the brats and called the S-class students without honorifics. It's not that big of a problem."

"...Are you an idiot? And today, we even received a complaint from a marquis's house."

"Ah, I called Gariel by his regular name too. She said she'd forgive me, but to go out of her way to file a complaint the same day, what a petty person."

"It'll be okay for a while, but if this continues, even Gil will have problems."

"It's a battle of attrition with the brats, isn't it? Don't worry, my lessons have gotten a bit more proper, so I plan to deal with other issues soon."

The only remaining issue is how to handle the S-class lessons, but I've gotten somewhat used to the classes at this academy. I've become more able to move around during my free class periods, so I'll start making some moves.

Melia also seemed to have something to consult about, so I'll look into that too.

"...Gil is surprisingly motivated, isn't he?"

"Yeah. I feel like I've gotten a little of my old teaching sense back. There are students who genuinely want to learn magic. It's the role of a teacher and an adult to create a path for those students. At the very least, I'll eliminate all factors that hinder such students."

For Cyril, Melia, and other motivated students, I'll break down the walls of ridiculous social status and the teachers who hinder them.

"...It's great that you're motivated, but if you lay a hand on a female student, I absolutely won't forgive you!"

"I was having a rare serious conversation just now..."

...What is this guy suddenly talking about?

"I'm being completely serious too! Even if they're of marriageable age, if you lay a hand on a female student, I won't just fire you, I'll kill you!"

"Get out, you horny old hag! I'm finally motivated, so listen seriously for a bit!"

Honestly, I'm surprisingly motivated, and what is this guy talking about?

By the way, in this country, marriage is permitted from the age of 15. Some people do get married while attending school.

But as for me, I have more fun doing magic research than fooling around with women!

"Alright, the classes for A-class and C-class on the third day have also concluded without incident. The problem is tomorrow's S-class lesson..."

Today's classes have also concluded safely.

Just like the brats in B-class yesterday, there were still some brats whining, but I silenced them with my chalk bullets. For now, thanks to that, there are almost no students who make noise in my class and disturb others.

However, they're probably still making noise outside of my classes, so it seems like a long road ahead.

"Well then, the storage room is through here."

As Cyril told me yesterday, after classes ended at 4 PM, I came to the storage room on the third floor of the school building.

"Gah, a substitute teacher!?"

"Why are you here!?"

For some reason, two male students were standing in front of the storage room, which should have been unused.

"Hmm, Loff and Luis from 1-S class. What are you two doing here?"

They're the students who were hanging around with Gariel from the marquis's house, if I recall correctly.

"...Tch, what do we do?"

"What do you mean, we have to do as we're told. Uh, excuse me, sensei, but this room is currently in use, so please leave."

"The storage room is in use? I haven't heard anything about that. Well, even if it's in use, I'll just be getting some supplies."

I don't know what's going on, but these guys are hiding something. It's probably what Cyril asked for.

"Such an insensitive teacher! I'm telling you to leave already!"

"This room is being used by Marquis Marseeno's Lord Gariel! Are you going to defy a marquis's house, you substitute teacher wannabe!"

"...It seems there's something you don't want me to see. Pardon me, but I'm going through."

"Hey, stop it!"

"What is it, just leave like the other teachers!"

The two of them tried to stop me with magic as I moved forward.

Unfortunately for them, I can't be stopped by that level of magic, nor can I be stopped by the mention of a marquis's house.

"Guaaaaaaah!"

"Please... please forgive us now!"

As I stepped towards the storage room, I heard a male student's scream and a female student's pleading voice from inside the room.

That's when I finally understood the situation.
