Azasha is a title to the adventurer fighting the monsters outside the town, the hunter of skill.
It's different from the normal adventurer, where a quest is posted in the guild, but Azasha has a legal title to each town. They have full authority to the Zeisha they will loot alongside the materials of monsters, meaning full authority, no matter where they hunt, sell the loot to nobles or certain people, the guild and towns guard couldn't intervene.
Obtaining the Azasha title requires a person to complete the quest in Nightmare Forest, which is full of terrifying monsters and possesses extremely dangerous power beyond human understanding.
It was a trial, but to take the test, he/she must have 20 skills combo and 20 sets of skills.
Set skill, any living thing has the power to arrange its skills according to its will. Just like to Klono, as of now, he has only 10 sets of skills with 5 skill combos. His first was the hell of death, a 2 skills. And his second set was the one I want, Illusion of Night skill, and the others are the same, a few live skills and some passive until the 10th set skill is complete.
Combo skill must live the skills and no passive, so they can be certain the enemy is dead. It's crucial to be cautious when fighting the monsters, they have a lot of passive skills that slowly wear you down until it's too late for you to act. That's why having a combo skill was important.
Still, tons of fools tried to get the Azasha title by taking the test, and none of them managed to escape alive. Some might survive, but they are already lost inside their heart; they couldn't live normally as the fear of the forest lingered every second in their mind.
Another way to get the Azasha was to have ridiculous, impossible achievements in their life. Killed the dragon with their hands, faced a thousand horde of monsters. With their achievement and strength, the ruler of the land and the guild will recognize them.
On this day, Azashi could prepare 100 Stella easily; no one could identify who bought the hands of red dragon, as Azashi was like a king in his own nation when it came to money.
'I don't want the look at Larrios.'
Larrios smiled as his eyes shut, clapping weakly with his hands. "Fara, I have a small favor for you."
"Guild master, the last time you said a small favor, bring the item to the noble's house, and what I get, their saliva as their shouting my face because of the defective item."
"1... no 5 gold coins!"
Yeah, it's been 8 years since I arrived in the town of Haria, and sometimes when this occurs Larrios always passes the problem to me.
"If this were an everyday occurrence, I might have bought my third skill."
"So will you do it?"
"Sigh... make it 10."
"Are you really suggesting that?" Larrios places his palms on the table, and the gentle look earlier becomes scary.
"Last time was 1 Stella, and I got 1 gold coin. Today was 100 Stella, so this should be 100 gold coins, but I'm slightly in a good mood, so I just decided 10 gold coins."
"Ahahaha, you haven't changed... fine, 10 gold coins." Larrios quickly offered his hand to seal the deal, and I quickly grabbed it.
My months of work reserved for resting with Larrios' quest, however, I must prepare myself for if not their saliva, fists I may receive.
I'm sure Larrios' client is a big shot for owning that kind of money. If they find out the Zeisha was fake.
'I don't want to think.'
"Meet him under the giant tree at midnight outside the Haria. This is the password." Larrios handed me a piece of paper at the same time I put in my small bag the Zeisha. It was a special bag to carry the Zeisha around the town safely.
"Fara, here is your payment."
"Thanks, then let's me---"
"Fara."
These feelings of take care of yourself, it's dangerous and make sure to visit us tomorrow. A lot is going on, I can feel at Larrios by just calling my name.
10 gold coins is truly a lot of money, by just sending the item to a person, it can pay half the amount of participating in a fight.
This was more dangerous than in the arena or more wowrser.
"I've been doing this for 8 years. Then, I will leave now."
'And still I'm broke, sigh...'
"Guild master..."
"Mina." A woman with black hair, wearing sunglasses and tight clothes, stands next to Larrios, his secretary.
"I can't believe he can easily tell the problem on Zeisha."
"They said if you have knowledge of a skill, you know the world."
"I don't think just that, there is something about him and the way he spoke about the red dragon as he knew very well the legendary skill."
"I'm living for a thousand years, and the red dragons, they said, a legend was never in the record, even to the library of the capital, the red dragon's existence remained a mystery. Fara might be weak, but he is smart, that's why I'm relying on him when it comes to this quest."
"And you have been relying to him for 8 years."
"Mina, that was just 8 days."
Mina just shook her head.
Right, the quest of delivering the item to the client is dangerous. It isn't because the robber will rob you or someone will ambush you in your way.
Those are just part of the danger, but the truth lies in the person holding it.
Any human being can change the content inside the Zeisha, it's like to the human they can swap without facing risk, getting what is good and dumping the weak one.
'Still, red dragon scale, huh? If this is just one of its scales, the thousand might be buried somewhere.'
"That's why summoning the red dragon is impossible, you need to find all of his scales, and if you miss one, everything will be erased."
"Guild master, I thought yo---"
"Fara, I'm a little busy so excu---"
Behind my back, a deathly stare spreads.
"Yeah, this is natural." I just walked casually and left as Larrios begged Mina.
Larrios might have tried to escape from paperwork, which is why she wanted to kill him.
Ignoring him, I have plenty of time before midnight arrives. Instead to resting or taking a quest, I began walking towards the meeting place.
Plan the possible danger. Unlike the others, the adventurer had multiple skills and could fight back, while I have only 2 skills, an escape skill. Fortunately, I can rely to my body, can run for hours without exhaustion, a strength that has not betrayed my body.
Walked for minutes, and the giant tree was quite far from the wall of Haria.
'That forest...' Watching the trees in the forest I felt someone already here and my doubt was right, the old man wearing a white robe and sword on his hip is the one I saw who won the bid yesterday, he is leaning on the tree while eyes resting and yet the awareness to the surroundings can feel.
Instead to approaching and completing the work, I started digging a hole in the ground to place the skill flash; anyone who steps on it will be blinded for seconds, while my dazzling light casts on the trees and the blind spot. If ever someone hides the light, it will illuminate them and stay for minutes.
Hours of work everything was set.
"Mr. Fara..." Far from my position, Alia was waving her hands near the entrance of Haria.
'It's already lunch."
No matter what happened don't ever proceed to the work when it's not the designated time. Number one rule of being a Zeisha carrier, hence Alia and I went to the inn for lunch.
"Did you hear the news? One of Azasha died yesterday."
"Again? This is the third time this month. What is happening in Haria right now?"
"The town guard and even the guild don't know the cause of their death. Just one thing they know, the Azasha lost its skills, leaving nothing."
"T-Then, d-don't tell me they are in our town now. T-The..."
'Demon hunter, someone may interpret this as the human was the one hunting, but it is contrary, the demon hunting the Azasha for one reason, their skills. Azasha is a walking fortress at the same time, an eternal resource in the demon's sight.'
"What's wrong, master?"
"Nothing... here is your lunch for today."
Consumed the food as soon as possible before the master asked about my schedule. She is somewhat stricter when it comes to going outside the Haria, espeically at night.
"Thanks for the food."
The stares of wherever you go, I'm watching you, I felt since I entered the master's tavern.
"Here."
Another plate for lunch today, Alia just smiles as she leaves. Seeing her cheerful walk, I turn my head to the master, nodding while closing her eyes.
A sign she knows everything, and the job for today might have high risk, the way the master treated today's lunch was more delicious than usual.
'Eat until you can't, huh?' No hesitation, I ate everything on the table until my belly was full. Alia kept serving another plate once the table was empty.
"I-I can't move..."
"Fara." The master just called my name and left.
"Uncle, see you tomorrow."
"Alia, I'm not... Yeah, let's meet again tomorrow. Master, thank you for the food." Stand on my chair to support my stomach and restrain my mouth. Master's most hated is throwing up her food in her sight. If you do, she will triple the price and cost for staying in her inn.
"Fara-saaan..." Alia kept waving her little hand as I slowly increased the distance.
'Master, I won't throw your food.' Even far, the master stares stay on me.
Walked like an old man, little by little, I reached the guild, and sat, taking a couple of relief breaths.
"Haria is getting dangerous lately. Not just Azasha the victim, even a single holder of a few skills is also in the list. Today, the killer wasn't choosing the target anymore."
"I heard from Townguard that we are not allowed to go outside once nightfall comes. Guys, make sure to pass the words to your family or friends. You don't want to hear tomorrow someone you knew found dead or they've gone missing."
The words quickly spread like wildfire, but that doesn't mean the task I'm working on will halt. Rule number 2 as an Azasha carrier, no matter what happens, storm or the end of the world, you must complete your work unless your client canceled the meet-up.
"Fara..."
"Ms. Mina, how is our guild master?"
"He was buried under the paper, it seems the killer made him pass out because of a lot of people asking for guard, protecting their properties, and seeking guidance. Tonight might be... Anyway, I just came here to warn you, you know what I mean."
Being an Azasha carrier must remain hidden from fellow adventurers or family, as they are carrying high-value and important items.
'For someone like me who only has 2 skills, no one will mistake this guy is Azasha carrier. The advantage of having few skills.'
I just smiled at her as wasting the time until the night arrive.
Hours of sitting, the rumors about the killer kept adding fake information, an exaggeration in the way of killing the target, and its form.
After hours of chit-chatting, the adventurers and workers of the guild are leaving one by one until I'm the only one sitting. They won't close the door of the guild, it was opened for anyone who wanted to rest, and a perfect place to waste more time.
The noisiest night in Haira became the quietest time. None of the screaming and groaning echoed in the place. The place became a ghost town as I walked alone, even those who wanted to take advantage of the situation didn't show up.
Life is more important than greed.
Minutes of taking the silent road, the giant tree was in my sight, and the old man I met earlier was there standing alone, staring at the sky, hand resting to its sword, anytime it will draw once danger senses.
Walk casually so he doesn't see me as a treat despite having 2 kills. I can tell, he will not hesitate to kill the danger arriving to his location, provoking him will be a foolish action.
"She was right..."
The voice that I can't forget.
Faster than the light, I kneel on one knee, bowing my head.
"Your Majesty."
