After being deceived by Lu Yi, Tony Stark now looked horribly ugly, as if he'd eaten something disgusting.
"What? Judging from your expression, it seems like you don't even want to cure yourself!"
Lu Yi teased Tony Stark.
"No, how could that be?"
Tony Stark was now beginning to believe that Lu Yi really could heal him—not because he believed Lu Yi had magical powers, but because he thought Lu Yi might be some kind of great scientist.
He could only swallow his anger for now!
"Well then, let's talk about the compensation."
Lu Yi slowly descended in front of Tony Stark. Tony looked shocked, the light in his eyes growing even stronger.
"What do you want? Tell me—as long as I can give it to you!"
"Don't worry, you can definitely get it out!"
After hearing Lu Yi's words, Tony Stark inexplicably felt a chill run up from his tailbone.
"Even though I really want to fix my body, there are still limits!" Tony Stark said as he received the vaccine.
"Don't worry, it won't be too much."
After saying that, Lu Yi reached into his pocket and pulled out a rolled-up piece of paper. He loosened his hand, letting it float gently in front of Tony Stark.
Just as Nick Fury had suggested, Lu Yi really had made a list and written down everything he wanted.
The list drifted to Tony Stark, but the next step became a little tricky. Tony reached out several times to take it.
Every time, he hesitated, and ultimately did not take the list.
"Relax, with your financial resources, this is all easy—really, incredibly simple!"
The more Lu Yi said this, the more uneasy Tony Stark felt. But considering the lethal toxin in his body, he finally gritted his teeth and accepted the list. Once he had it, he immediately began dealing with other matters.
Tony chose to open it right away. When he unfolded it, his eyes widened.
"Damn it—are you asking for a bounty or trying to take out some big shots?" Tony shouted when he saw the items on the list.
This wasn't Tony's fault—Lu Yi was simply too outrageous. A single A4 sheet was filled to the margins with all kinds of things.
They weren't things you could make money from.
But everything on that list was more valuable than money—rubies, diamonds, pure natural obsidian… which of these wasn't more precious than cash?
Without more than 2 billion, forget it.
Tony Stark was indeed a playboy; he didn't care about a few million or tens of millions. But this wasn't millions anymore—this was over 2 billion.
And what bothered him most wasn't the cost—it was the extortion.
When had he ever been on the losing end of extortion?
"I want to eliminate those big players! Who told you to be one of them? Who can you blame?"
"Is it wrong for me to be a major investor?"
"There's nothing wrong with that—except I don't like you."
"Fair enough. I've got no response."
Tony Stark finally gave in.
Two billion was indeed a lot, but it wasn't enough to break him, so he treated it like a robbery.
Compared to health, two billion was nothing!
Grinding his molars, enduring the pain, Tony finally yielded to Lu Yi's tyranny.
"I agree to the terms. Should I pay now or later?"
"Later."
"You trust me that much?" A strange feeling rose in Tony Stark's heart.
"No, I don't trust you. I trust myself—no one can owe me anything."
Tony didn't notice that he was being too emotional; that pleasant feeling vanished instantly.
"Can you heal me or not? And I'm the one paying—aren't I god? Shouldn't you give me proper treatment? Make me the best coffee!" Tony said, the last sentence directed at Yuriko.
Yuriko turned her gaze toward Lu Yi, waiting to see what he would say before responding.
"Yuriko, pour him a glass of water. Plain boiled water is fine," Lu Yi said, seemingly not noticing Tony Stark's furious expression.
"I'm god here—the one paying!" Tony complained.
"Oh? God, huh?" Lu Yi gave Tony a serious look, then told Yuriko, "Yuriko, don't bother with the water. Go do your own thing."
"Damn it, did you hear—"
"Understood, master."
Yuriko ignored Tony's explanation. She only cared about Lu Yi. What was Tony compared to him? She softly acknowledged Lu Yi, then turned and left.
"You can't do that! How can you do business like this?"
"First, this isn't business—I do whatever I want. Even if it were business, haven't you heard of big companies bullying their customers? Second, I've already tried my best, so stop complaining. And lastly—my god, I'm supposed to treat you well?"
