The events of the morning did nothing to dampen sun hwa's mood
For a fact, she was even in a happier mood as she bustled about the kitchen making breakfast
She didn't do much just a bowl of millet porridge, as well as some scallion pancakes an braised eggs with a cup of steaming hot malted milk
She ate quickly savoring each bite, her eyes squinted in delight wondering if she could ask madam Zhou for more braised eggs as the braised eggs were throughly delicious
So delicious she ate five braised eggs
"Sister sun" Guo Jinyi rushed in anxiously, sun hwa who had just finished her meal couldn't help raising her head in confusion
"Sister Jinyi, it's so early" sun hwa pointed seeing Guo Jinyi examining her with eyes laced with worry
"Did you really take down both men, tell sister where you are hurt" Jinyi couldn't help asking as she looked sun hwa over
"I'm really fine" sun hwa sighed seeing Jinyi's expression that said 'I don't believe a word you say'
"I always knew that Nian Zhi was a greedy bastard, how dare he target you" Guo Jinyi lamented, wishing she had been here earlier to give the bastard a good thrashing
She wouldn't mind leaving a large gash on his head, so when it healed he'd forever remember never to mess with the Wang fifth wife
"Aren't the children supposed to go to school" Sun hwa chuckled as she headed to the back room, where she carried each child out
Luckily this back room was hidden at the back else, ate couldn't imagine how frightened this little one's would have been
"Why are you bringing them out?!" Guo Jinyi couldn't help asking, while staring intently at sun hwa "their mother is here?" Sun hwa scratched her head awkwardly
"It's unsafe to bring the children over henceforth" sun hwa sighed
"What are you saying fifth wife, the village is safe" Guo Jinyi tried to reason but sun hwa shook her head
"If I hadn't been vigilant, who knows what might have happened? I dare not be careless for a second time
Luckily that room is the most secured, hidden out of mere sight" sun hwa sighed to this Guo Jinyi cradled her youngest
"I'll serve breakfast, I made enough to go around. The braised eggs mother made was delicious, I really enjoyed it" saying that sun hwa laughed as she begun to serve breakfast
Four bowls of millet porridge and a dozen scallion pancakes
"I was already making breakfast" Guo Jinyi tried to politely decline but sun hwa pressed her down seeing the children stirring
"When given, you accept and eat. We aren't stranger are we sister Jinyi?" Sun hwa raised a brow and Guo Jinyi silently begun to eat with her kids now awake but somewhat groggy from sleep
"Sister sun" the second sun hwa returned to the kitchen preparing to clean up Xiao Xia ram in panting heavily
"Calm your nerves, running so fast what if you fall" sun hwa couldn't help scolding, to this Xiao Xia's face flushed red
"I won't fall, I'm sturdy but what the hell happened, you... are you hurt?" Xiao Xia asked as she looked sun hwa over
"She's not hurt on her body, her mind is hurt" Guo Jinyi pouted, thinking about how her kids couldn't sleep over broke her heart
The kids wouldn't understand the circumstances
Worst came to worst she'll sleep over with them and beat any thief to a pulp
"Don't think about it, you're a married woman" as if reading her mind sun hwa declined outright "you….. how would I be assured you're safe" Guo Jinyi retorted
"Didn't I already deal with them?" Sun hwa sighed scooping a bowl of millet porridge which she handed to Xiao Xia
"This... .." before Xiao Xia could speak further she was cut off by sun hwa's state
"I don't want to hear it, if you want to repay it then bring something back for me
I'm heading the moutain in quarter an hour or more to gather herbs" sun hwa casually remarked making the eyes of both women widen
"Herbs can't be found in the outskirts" Guo Jinyi was the first to speak up with a frown etched on her face
"It's just herbs, nothing serious" sun hwa shrugged
"The mountain is dangerous sister hwa" Xiao Xia added scooping her porridge slowly. The porridge wasn't too thick nor watery, just the right consistency and it was fragrant and delicious
"It's just a few herbs, I won't venture deep" sun hwa assured them "what do you need herbs for?" Guo Jinyi asked staring directly at sun hwa, she needed to look into those hazel eyes to know if the latter was lying
"Beauty products" sun hwa replied nonchalantly, though she had studied philosophy
She had a knack for botany and was quite skilled with varieties plants. Hence beautification and poison was her strongest fort
"Like rouge powder?" Xiao Xia asked "mm, but many more than that" sun hwa nodded after which she scooped out hot water for her bath and headed off to the bath house to bath
As for Guo Jinyi and Xiao Xia, Xiao Xia did the dishes while Guo Jinyi headed back to quickly grab a few buns for sun hwa
Even if the latter was already filled up from breakfast, she could eat while finding herbs in the mountain and though Guo Jinyi would have loved to accompany her
She had a pile of things to do, which made it impossible
Xiao Xia also ran off to get a few things from their breakfast table, having eaten her fill here
She could easily wrap up her breakfast and give back to sun hwa.
None taking advantage of the other
By the time sun hwa was done with her bath, she was met with an empty house
Sha tied her long waist length black hair into a bun and quickly got dressed in a simple patched brown dress
There wasn't much needed to be done hence she casually grabbed a large woven basket, her silver blades and a few other miscellaneous she might need
"Sister hwa" Xiao Xia rushed back with her carefully wrapped breakfast, her face flushed from running so much
"It's just a simple porridge, why bring so much" sun hwa sighed helplessly
" just take it sister hwa" Xiao Xia pushed the wrap into her hands and took several steps back in fear of sun hwa returning it
"About the thieves, father-in-law would give you an explanation, the Nian family aren't exempted either" Xiao Xia assured her and sun hwa nodded though she really didn't care whether they apologized or not
"Be careful on the mountain path, don't wander across the safe zones, it's marked with green and red on the trees, so once you enter the danger zones you'll definitely know" Xiao Xia added, to this sun hwa nodded then she locked the door and headed on her path to the mountain path meeting Guo Jinyi on the way who gave her 3 large mixed grain buns
"Be careful not to cross the safe zones" Guo Jinyi could only helplessly remind her to which sun hwa nodded like a rattle drum before continuing on her way
Finishing two large vegetable buns before she even arrived the foot of the mountain
