Thorne really had forgotten about it.
Back then, he had planned to do the right thing, misunderstood George, and didn't want to show up himself. So he had Liam recruit George instead. After that, he completely forgot about the acceptance letter.
Luckily, George had already made it into the Obsidian Academy, and no one really cared too much about it.
Thorne arrived at the school gate and saw the two of them waiting.
"Uh, you're George and Lily, right? Here's your acceptance letter," he said awkwardly, quickly pulling out two letters from his bag and handing them over.
"Thanks," Lily said, taking it and giving a quick thank you.
George looked at him, a little confused. "Have we met before?"
"No, no, you got the wrong guy," Thorne quickly denied, then turned and ran off.
