Chapter 3 - The Emperor

"The world is unfair. Fate is unfair. Destiny is unfair. Even you, my father, were not fair." Alfred was deep in thought while drifting through space. Behind him was the planet Sovret. He owned millions of planets like this, and better, but on this one resided his son, all that he had left. He would destroy the cosmos to protect him. Now he looked forward: he saw nothing—no stars, no sun, no moon, nothing. And if anyone from outside the system were to look, they wouldn't see the planet either. Alfred had hidden the planet from everyone's eyes, even his father's. He had concealed it in the heart of a dead universe where there was no life or place for searching—only numerous black holes, dead galaxies, and monsters that fed on this destruction. There was no life in this universe except on this small planet. Now, Alfred gazed into the depths of space and caught a glimpse of the color red. He knew they were here.

BOOM!

"ALFRED! I finally see you! How are you, Prince of the Dethroned Throne? Hahahaha!"

A demon with black skin and a red crown above his head appeared. His skin was burning with a red fire that melted the surrounding space. He looked at Alfred with an expression containing nothing but amusement and a lust for blood.

The voice continued to laugh, saying, "How are you? How long has it been since I saw you? Let me think... A cursed million years, and here you are, escaping death in the heart of death itself! Truly clever; you always were. Also, your brother sends his regards and tells you that the whore's body you chose over your family is still with him. He makes many of his demons wear her for fun." Behind him were three demons who resembled him—a female and two males—but their skin was blood red, and they were shorter than him.

At that moment, Alfred exploded with a silver aura mixed with white and blue. This halo illuminated the entire dead universe. He looked ahead, his eyes shining with the intent to kill that he had controlled for years, and said, "El-Maut, my dear brother's dog. Where is he? How dare he send his dog to greet his older brother without coming himself?"

The demon,El-Maut , looked at Alfred and laughed again, covering his mouth and stomach this time because it hurt from laughing.

"I'm a dog? A dog? A dog? Ah, I apologize, when I get excited, I can't control my tongue, Alfred. There is no dog here. My master doesn't come to look after stray dogs. There is no one here but you and us. And by the way, the demons in the three continents surrounding your beloved continents are moving. What will you do now? Face me here or protect your fake home? Choose quickly! There is no time, you traitorous dog! Hahahaha!"

Alfred didn't wait for El-Maut to finish his laugh. He was already standing behind him. His right hand had transformed into a white sword, dripping droplets of pitch-black blood from its tip. He had decapitated the three demons behind El-Maut. In his left hand were their hearts, still pumping. Alfred tossed them into space as if they were garbage, but the hearts moved faster than the speed of light and vanished into the darkness of space.

Then, he leaned close to El-Maut's ear and whispered, "Go and bring my brother now. Let's end this. I don't want to waste my time with a laughing dog." He moved his hand, severing El-Maut's left hand, then took the crown from his head and crushed it into dust.

El-Maut screamed a shriek that reached the edges of the universe. Had anyone heard it, they would have wept from its sheer hideousness. The halo surrounding him diminished, and he grew weaker. He looked into Alfred's white eyes, and all he saw was the Void. He was so small in that Void he would have been lost if he stared too long. But Alfred spoke only one word in a calm voice. It wasn't loud, but it echoed in all corners of the dead universe:

"Go."

El-Maut moved as if his life depended on it. He tore space, leaping from rift to rift, and finally escaped the grip of death. He had to reach his master; he had to tell him what happened. It was a catastrophe.

Alfred stood alone in space. His clothes weren't even soiled. His hair fluttered like living silk. He wore a blue garment studded with jewels and white ribbons, standing like an Emperor, fearing no one. Yet, he alone knew his time was running out, and what he had borrowed was beginning to fade. He had to hurry.

Alfred did not diminish his aura; it continued to light up the cosmos as if it were the last time he would shine—like a beacon attracting everyone toward it. Then, at that moment, he looked at the planet behind him and said, "Forgive me, my son. Your father must leave now." He snapped his fingers, and the planet vanished, leaving him alone in the profound darkness of space, awaiting his destiny
