After Uchiha Itachi had his final words with his brother, he was finally able to return to the Pure Lands to reunite with his mother and father. But something unexpected happened because of all that; he was sent to the Soul Society as a way to stop anyone from his original World from summoning him once again. Itachi suddenly appeared, lying next to a giant tree, and a lake lay right in front of him, the day bright and sunny. He slowly opened his eyes as he sat up and began to look around his surroundings, thinking that he would be in the Pure Land or the Underworld. Itachi began to notice that something about this new place was completely different from the Elemental Nations. He walked over to the lake to drink some water when he saw that he was a few years younger.
Itachi looked himself over and saw that he was wearing a clean, simple white yukata. Seeing that everything was peaceful, Itachi decided to make this area his new home, so he went to scout around. During that time, Itachi noticed that his chakra system was sealed once again. Because of that, Itachi knew right away that he didn't have the Sharigan. During that time, he began to catalog everything he needed to do before he went any further from his base of operations. He also noticed he was putting pressure on himself. Still, he didn't know how much, and for some reason, his intuition was telling him to control it, otherwise. Itachi would draw the wrong attention, something he didn't want, since the place he arrived at was so beautiful and peaceful.
The one thing he found interesting was that he wasn't feeling hungry after many hours. But there were a few questions he needed to answer, too. The first question on his mind was where he at? The second question was, where was his family? And the three asked why he hadn't gone through the process of reincarnation, as they had been taught when he was alive. So many questions, but at last he still remembers everything he had gone through when he was alive. Itachi recalled that his mother always wanted to have grandchildren when he got older. But at last, Itachi killed that dream by literally killing his beloved mother and father with most of the clan.
He is still surprise that his soul didn't go to hell for all the crimes he had committed, but then again, only Kami could judge his soul in the end. Itachi, curious, decided to meditate by the tree to see if he could access his chakra. And from there, he would determine what actions to take since he didn't know if he was able to die here as well. Since he was a genius and had a calm mind, he always made sure to have backup plans for every scenario. So he climbed a tree and made a large nest where he could meditate in peace. And because of this, he soon discovered some answers he had no clue about.
Innerworld
When Itachi finally opened his chakra, he was surprised by how much he had, so he concentrated hard and put all his effort into refining it. Itachi didn't want to explode because of the ridiculous amount of chakra; for this reason, he had to stay calm; otherwise, if it were anyone else, their life would be forfeited. It took him three days to finally deal with his situation. When Itachi opened his eyes, he was shocked to his very core because, in front of him, where he had been sitting, was Konoha, his beloved village, for which he had sacrificed everything for peace. Feeling dazed, Itachi heard someone coming up behind him and stood next to him, overlooking the village.
"Who are you? Did you revive me once again?" Itachi asked as he stood calmly looking at the village hidden in the leaves.
"Who I am doesn't matter right now since you are still too weak. But I was permitted to answer specific questions." The beautiful woman said as she stood waiting for Itachi to put his thoughts together.
"Is this the Pure Lands?" Itachi asked calmly, still considering which question would be significant, since the lady beside him had made it clear she could answer only specific questions.
"To answer that question, you could say yes, this realm is like the Pure Lands from where you came from, but no, at the same time. Consider yourself alive once again, but not alive." The lady answered his question but remained vague, hinting that he should use his head.
As Itachi considered her words, he realized he had been sent to a different plane of existence. In a way, he was in another kind of Pure Lands, but he also considered himself alive. The only deduction he could make was that he was in some spirit world, offering him a second chance in life. So how and why was he sent to this new plane, and was he the only Uchiha? So many questions, but he knew they were irrelevant, since there were more important ones to ask.
"What is this plane called, if I may ask?" Itachi finally said to get a better idea.
"This plane is called the Soul Society, where all the souls of the World of the Living come to. If, by chance, a soul were to die, it would be sent back into the cycle of reincarnation to be reborn once again." The woman explained, and Itachi became silent once again, processing everything and thinking which question to ask.
"So, where is the area that I appeared at called? Is it the only area, or are there more?" Itachi asked to gather the appropriate information, saving him the time of asking people outside his area.
"This question, typically, if you were from this plane of existence, I wouldn't have been able to answer. But since you weren't the power above, you have allowed it. That is the only reason I'm explaining this to you, as you have deduced. First, this plane is called the Soul Society; its capital is the Seireitei, and its ruler is the Soul King. It is under the administration of Central 46. Outside the walls is called the Rukongai. In the Rukongai, there are four cardinal directions there are North, South, East, and West. And in each cardinal direction, there are districts. There are eighty districts, and the area beyond the borders of the last district is called the Badlands." The lady paused to let Itachi digest the explanation before she continued.
"To answer the first question, you are in the East Rukongai, forty-eight district. This area is called "Peace and Conflict." Depending on the day, you might get a depressed soul that will attack and steal from you, or one that will attack and kill you if it comes from the higher districts. If by chance you were to run into innocent people, at least the women, children, and the elderly, if possible, try to help them, since many of them never get a chance to die in peace or be able to live out their lives to adulthood. Each district is enormous, capable of holding millions of souls without a doubt." The lady said, giving Itachi the image to help him better understand as she continued speaking.
"Unfortunately, like in the only plane that you came from, the strong oppress the weak while the strict rule with an iron fist. While most souls want to live in peace, there are others with bad intentions; some become good shinigami, giving back to the people, while others once again gain power and oppress the innocent. Central forty-six are like the council of elders, like in your old life, but these are all from Noble clans. The five noble families were entrusted with overseeing the Seireitei and many of their problems. Unfortunately, these traditions have ceased and lost all sense of purpose; only the Shiba has continued to follow them.
"As you know, corruption runs deep here as well. Uchiha Itachi, I see where you come from. You are from a noble clan of shinobis, but here laws and principles of this plane differ a bit. Just remember, if you want to join the Gotei thirteen, choose your division that best suits you. The fact that you are the only person in this existence to access your old powers from your plane might greatly benefit your survival. You are now the third anomaly foreseen. You will know the meaning of the words in the future." The woman gave a detailed explanation that Itachi would be able to think about later.
"I see, thank you very much for answering my question." Itachi comments, giving a curt nod to the stranger, who smiles in return as Itachi asks another question.
"What is this place? How am I in Konoha, or is this an illusion?" Itachi said, hoping to get a positive answer.
"This scenery we're seeing is your inner World. The reason you were able to come here was that you began meditating to unseal and access the source of your hidden power, which remains locked until the time is right. This place is for training, and if you need to get a second opinion, you can speak to me. And if you can, I would like for you to give me a tour of this beautiful-looking World if you don't mind." The lady replied, getting a nod of agreement from her future wielder.
"I see, good to know, so who are the other two anomalies?" Itachi asked as he was going over everything the lady had explained to him.
"Ara, ara, I'm sorry, dear Itachi-kun, but I'm not allowed to tell you, but I will say this if fate allows it, you have a chance to meet one of them that held you dearest, other than your younger brother, who is not in this plane of existence." The lady said, making Itachi furrow his brow as he wondered who the lady was talking about, since it was a vague answer.
"Hn!" was all Itachi said as he thought for a moment before he asked another question. "Since I'm new to this plane of existence, and I could live out another life in a way, what do you suggest I do? Itachi said this time, he turned his whole body around to get a better look at the woman who had entered his inner World.
"Hmm, one option is to find a location that would be safe enough to have a family, where you won't have to join the shinigami and find yourself a lady or two to produce some children and live out a peaceful life. But if you choose this path, then you won't see me again until you reach a certain level of power, which will be the only way to get my name. The second option is to try to bring some acquaintances together and form a group. Become a shinigami, where you would join their ranks, and you won't have to worry about money or anything. Find a place to live and then make a family. The third option, you could be a mercenary for a fair price, and you could help the people of the Rukongai to live a better life, and give justice to the weak. While making a happy family is something that you had in the beginning of your youth, before you were manipulated into killing the whole of your clan." The lady replied, making Itachi's eyebrow shoot up in surprise, unable to believe what he just heard from this person.
"I see, I will put those suggestions into consideration," Itachi said, feeling as if he was being guided on the path of making a family. Finding the right girl will become a headache. Since he had nightmares over all the fangirls he had to run away from while he was growing up.
"If you're not happy with those three options, you could always combine two and three to get the optimal solution, since you are considered a newborn in Soul Society. In case you didn't know, souls here can live a long life as longs as you don't get yourself killed. You have more than enough time to gain enough power to protect yourself. And to accomplish any goals, you need to complete in till you are ready to join the Shino Academy, and this will be a good start as your stepping stone to rise in the future as a future shinigami." The lady comment on seeing that option having the most logical outcome and benefit in the end.
"Before I move forward, I need to see about being able to use my skills from my past life, and once they have become adequate, then I will be able to make my mark in this new world of mine," Itachi replied, getting a smile of satisfaction as if the choice he had just made was hers as well.
"Is there anything else you wish to know? The lady asked, considering Itachi, who was working extremely fast to process the information he had just learned.
"Do I still have my Kekkei Genkai? The answer you give me will set my goal for the future of learning everything. I need to push my plans and goals forward." Itachi asked as he hoped deep in his heart that he at least still had the eyes of the Uchiha clan.
"Yes, when the time comes, and you can unlock your eyes, will you gain the strength to get more powerful? You can also unlock the Mangekyo Sharingan without risking going blind. Just in case it happens and you become too scared to want to use them." The lady smiled at the young teenager, who nodded his head in thanks.
"Well, then, Itachi-kun, please give me a tour and use your imagination for the hot springs in your mind. I will enjoy being in your mind forever." The lady asked as Itachi remembered his promise to her.
During this time, Itachi began to tell the story of his life while point out all the significant landmarks and the stories behind them. He explained the village's history and how it came to be, as his clan was among the founding members of his home. They went to the Uchiha compound, where he continued to give a tour, and while telling the history of the Uchiha clan. On the way to the hot spring, he continued to explain the history of the Elemental Nations and their World. Once he finished the tour, Itachi excused himself.
"Then till we meet again onee-sama." Itachi smiled before leaving his inner World. Kamuy-huci was very pleased with her future wielder; she could definitely see them becoming one of the most powerful beings in this life because of the knowledge of their old life. Whatever the case, the fact that her wielder has a natural hot spring in his inner World made it a win-win situation for her. And because of that, when her wielder is finally able to get an asauchi, his will be special.
When Itachi opened his eyes, he slowly looked around, only to see that it was night and birds and other animals had made themselves comfortable in his meditation nest. He could only sigh in dismay, since he was hungry but chose to wait until the morning to find food before starting his training. But first, he needed to stretch out before going back to bed. Surprisingly, the animal stayed put, as if sensing that he would not harm them. Itachi then climbed the tree once again and fell to sleep on one of the thick branches. Itachi, being Itachi, stayed awake, going over ideas and possibilities for his future, something most people can't do. After a few hours of thinking and planning, Itachi finally grew tired, went back up to his branch, and fell asleep. Itachi dreamed of a new chance in life and all the new things he would experience, since he no longer had a clan and no longer had the responsibility to tarnish his family. This time, he would try to enjoy his teenage years like most civilians usually did in Konoha.
