Chapter 31 Training
"Jarvis, I'm leaving the template creation to you."
"Alright, Mr. Stark."
Tony smiled faintly, pushed himself off the table, and his chair spun him halfway around before his gaze landed on Lynn opposite him.
"You…"
He had just uttered a single word when the chair spun back.
The corner of Tony's mouth twitched. He pushed off the ground with his feet and spun back around.
"You're still playing on a carousel at this age?"
Lynn looked at Tony, his eyes full of teasing.
"Ahem."
Tony cleared his throat as if nothing had happened.
"Once the combat template is complete, you must fight me again."
Tony looked at Lynn expectantly, his eyes filled with a desire for exploration.
He wanted to see where Lynn's limits lay.
Lynn leaned against the wall, gently pressed his brow, and lazily said, "Alright, but you have to help me make the mutant shielding device."
"Is that a problem?"
Tony smiled at Lynn, raised his hand, and tapped the air, causing a light screen to appear between them.
"I already completed the initial design draft while collecting the template data."
Although he called it an initial draft, he wouldn't have shown it to Lynn if he wasn't confident in it.
Lynn looked at Tony in surprise, then at the design on the light screen.
Was this guy multi-tasking just now?
Tony was very pleased with Lynn's expression.
"You're very lucky, young man."
He stretched and stood up, letting out a yawn.
"I have all the materials for this thing in my warehouse. I can make you a sample in five hours at most."
Lynn nodded and praised, "As expected of Stark."
Tony was quite pleased with Lynn's praise, after all, Lynn was the Son of Zeus.
In his opinion, Lynn was much more pleasing to the eye than the 'hot-shot male lead' who was the Son of Odin.
He smiled faintly and, emboldened, said, "If I told you that the five hours are because I need to rest for four hours, what would you say?"
He almost had 'praise me' written on his face.
Lynn pinched his chin and asked jokingly, "You could be the God of Craftsmen. Interested?"
"God of Craftsmen?"
Tony rolled his eyes and retorted, "Dude, I'm an inventor! Don't you think I'm more suited to be the God of Invention?"
"Haha!"
Lynn laughed and clapped Tony on the shoulder.
"Alright, I'll remember that."
"Hmm?"
Tony looked at Lynn in confusion, "You're not serious, are you?"
"Who knows."
Lynn shrugged, lightly glossing over the topic.
"Awoo!"
Tony yawned and said wearily, "Help yourself. I'm going to rest for a bit. If you need anything, just call Jarvis."
With that, he walked quickly towards the bedroom, his eyelids drooping.
He hadn't slept in three days.
"Such a workaholic, a natural born workhorse."
Lynn grumbled, then strode out of the lab and plunged into his Inner World.
Counting the time, Wolverine Logan, who was unconscious, should be waking up again soon.
The Inner World was still bathed in bright Sun.
Lynn looked at everything in the Inner World and suddenly felt that the current Inner World was a bit too monotonous.
"I need to first perfect the cycle of day and night, sunny and rainy weather…"
He murmured, his eyes flickering, and began to communicate with the Inner World.
A moment later, as the power of faith was consumed, the Sun, suspended in the sky, rapidly streaked across, and for the first time, 'night' appeared in the Inner World.
A few seconds later, with Lynn's thought, a cool Moon quietly appeared in the sky of the Inner World.
Lynn opened his eyes and immediately looked towards the Lake of Faith.
Fortunately, it was within acceptable limits.
Just perfecting the day and night cycle of the Inner World consumed one-tenth of the power of faith in the Lake of Faith, and as the Inner World continued to expand, this power of faith would continue to be consumed.
Lynn pondered for a moment, temporarily giving up on the idea of perfecting the seasons and weather.
Currently, he was still in the initial stage, and the hard-earned power of faith could not be entirely spent on enriching the Inner World.
"It's just very monotonous. I need to find some time to move some things in."
Lynn murmured, pinching his chin.
Aside from things like the Sun, Moon, and Earth, many things could be obtained from outside the Inner World.
"I must do this, otherwise, no amount of power of faith will be enough."
Lynn sighed, but then noticed movement from Wolverine beside him.
A few seconds later, Wolverine suddenly opened his tightly shut eyes, ferocity and vigilance appearing in them simultaneously.
He quickly scanned his surroundings, and when he saw Lynn, he sprang up from the ground as if startled, creating distance between himself and Lynn, then watched Lynn warily.
He didn't attack me immediately?
Lynn was a little surprised. After observing Wolverine's current state, he quickly made an assessment.
He had recovered some rationality… but not much.
Judging by the current recovery speed, it would take at least three more days for him to fully regain his sanity.
In other words, Wolverine's current behavior was still dominated by his Beast instincts.
And the reason he didn't attack Lynn immediately… "Besides his rationality gradually returning, was it also because I knocked him out a few times before, making him instinctively feel fear?"
Lynn pinched his chin, guessing, then chuckled softly.
Interesting!
Looking at it this way, the current Wolverine was more like a wild Beast.
To keep him from causing too much trouble during these few days while he recovered his sanity, should he be dealt with like a wild Beast?
Otherwise, he would have to constantly monitor the situation in the Inner World to prevent Wolverine from doing something foolish like 'polluting the environment' again.
A thought flashed through Lynn's mind, and he walked towards Wolverine with a slight smile.
Wolverine retreated, clearly not wanting to conflict with Lynn, but as Lynn continued to approach, he finally lost his patience and once again revealed his Adamantium Claws.
"Ah ah!"
He roared in anger and pounced on Lynn.
The result… was no surprise.
The next moment, he was sent flying over ten meters by Lynn.
He got up from the ground, roared again, and charged at Lynn, only to be knocked back again.
After repeating this more than a dozen times, Wolverine lay on the ground, panting heavily. Even when Lynn walked towards him, he no longer had any intention of attacking, merely shifting his butt to express his dissatisfaction.
After being 'disciplined' multiple times, his Beast instincts told him that Lynn held no ill will towards him.
Lynn sat down beside him, holding a paper bag containing the leftover burgers from before.
"Here."
Lynn handed the paper bag to Wolverine.
Wolverine sat up abruptly, snatched the paper bag, pulled out a burger, and shoved it into his mouth.
He was starving; he hadn't eaten in two days.
"James? Jimmy? Wolverine? Logan?"
Each name Lynn called caused Wolverine's burger-eating speed to slow down a notch, and when he heard "Logan," he actually stopped.
"Do you remember anything?"
Lynn raised an eyebrow and slowly recounted the story of Wolverine Logan from the original plot.
Although the pasts of the two Wolverines were not entirely identical, certain similar experiences might trigger something in him, perhaps accelerating the return of his sanity.
