On the continent of Mira...
The spirit sent by the elves was still searching for the other teams, trying to reach them and exploit them for its own benefit.
Meanwhile...
Nott, Ul, and Yord had already entered the city.
From the moment they entered, they wasted no time.
The three moved cautiously, managing to locate all the teams in the city, and then began devising a meticulous plan.
Their goal was clear...
To take advantage of the chaos and commotion that would erupt in the city, just as they had planned.
After finishing their reconnaissance, the three returned to a large house where a family used to live.
But that family was no longer around.
The three had killed them earlier, quietly taken the house, and turned it into their temporary headquarters.
Nott, Ul, and Yord sat inside the house, discussing each person's task and what they needed to do once their plan was set in motion.
Nott was the one explaining the assignments.
He looked at Yord first, then said:
"You will handle guard duty."
Yord looked at him attentively as he continued:
"If anything happens, or if the other teams discover our plan, you will be our way of escape."
Then he added:
"You are the ruler of the earth; you can hide and move underground. That is a major advantage for us, especially since you have the upper hand inside an underground kingdom."
Yord nodded.
She knew exactly what Nott meant.
If their plan was exposed, it would be up to her to secure an escape route.
And thanks to her ability to control the earth, she will be able to get them out of the city or hide them from the eyes of their enemies if things go wrong.
After that...
Nott moved on to the second mission.
He looked at Aul and said:
"As for you, Aul..."
Then he continued:
"You will take charge of looking after the other squads belonging to the races."
Aul raised his gaze to him, while Nott continued:
"Your goal is not to save them."
He paused for a moment.
Then he said:
"Rather, you must buy as much time as possible. I doubt those squads will hold out against the Dark Elf guards, so you must help them a little."
Aul understood what Nott meant.
Nott continued:
"I want you to cause as much noise and panic as possible."
Then he added:
"Draw the attention of the great powers to yourself, and make them focus on you and the fight."
The goal behind this was clear.
The greater the chaos in the city...
The higher the chance of their plan's success.
And the more preoccupied the great powers became with Aul and the squads of the Mira continent...
The fewer people there would be who could pursue Nott or discover his movements.
Nott said:
"When you draw the great powers in the palace to yourself, and the other squads become busy fending off the guards, you will disappear."
Then he looked at him seriously:
"Do not try to stay in the fight longer than necessary."
Aul nodded.
He understood his mission.
As for Nott...
He was left with the final mission.
And the most dangerous one.
He looked at Yord and Aul, then said:
"As for me..."
He paused for a moment.
Then he continued:
"I will take on the most dangerous mission."
The two looked at him intently.
Nott said:
"I will enter the palace."
Then he explained:
"I will investigate the matter of that seed inside the palace, and try to discover its true nature."
Silence prevailed for a few moments.
This mission was completely different from Aul's and Yord's mission.
Entering the palace meant directly approaching the place where the great powers were located, and discovering the truth of the seed that was the core of their plan.
Nott said:
"We still do not know what exactly that seed is, nor the reason for its presence with the Dark Elves, and therefore we must discover its true nature."
Then he looked at the two:
"We will not be able to know what is really happening unless one of us goes inside."
Nott knew it would be dangerous.
But this was their chance.
If they succeeded...
They might get the information they had been looking for since the beginning.
And if they failed...
The entire plan would turn into a disaster.
After Nott fully explained their plan...
The three agreed on everything.
There was no more time to waste.
And they got to work immediately.
First...
Yord hid underground near the city gates.
Her mission was to monitor the place, and ensure there was no sudden movement that might expose their plan.
And in case something unexpected happened...
She would be ready to intervene and secure an escape route.
As for Aul...
He set off towards the other squads from the Mira continent.
He had to start by causing a commotion, drawing the guards' attention to himself, and igniting the chaos Nott needed to carry out his mission.
His goal was not merely to fight.
Rather, he had to make everyone look at him and the infiltrating squads.
As for Nott...
He hid near the palace, out of sight.
He watched the place quietly, waiting for the right moment.
He knew that his plan relied on precise timing.
Aul had to attract the attention of the guards and the great powers.
And he had to ensure that Yord remained near the city gates.
And then...
When the great powers left the palace due to the chaos Aul would create...
His turn would come.
He would storm the palace quickly.
And he would enter the place where the seed was located.
There...
He would try to discover its true nature.
The three had already taken their positions.
Yord underground.
Aul among the squads.
And Nott near the palace.
And now...
All that remained was to wait for the right moment to start the real chaos.
