Back in the main timeline....
Kaine was training on Beerus's planet. He was using ultra instinct to find a way to strike Whis. The man used the quake fruit to lift the ground underneath the angel and timeskip to him. The angel blocked the attack with his staff. Very nicley done. Whis said. Fight with the same saiyan like aggression you always do but have your mind only focused on battle. He spoke. I understand. Kaine said. He detransformed momentarily to regain his center of focus. HAAAAA! He yelled, transforming into ultra instinct omen once again with a familiar saiyan like fire in my eyes but this time it was adorned by an overwhelming calm.
His conquerers haki radiated unto the Angel in controlled sparks. Instead of a hurricane or a calm rainfall he was a typhoon with a controlled rotation and speed that is every bit as dangerous and ferocious as the hurricane and as calm and controlled as the rainfall. Incredible Kaine. You learn quickly. Whis said.
The man's entire body started glowing bright white. And he sparred Whis again and forced him to go on the defensive to guard against his techniques rather than dodge. The saiyan felt like a martial artist again. He wasn't worried about increasing my power output anymore than he had to. He simply used all his techniques to keep Whis on the defensive. He even incorporated Hits timeskip into his fighting style to punch into the future. One of his hits managed to connect with angel's chest. It pushed him back a little bit. The saiyan stopped his assault and bowed to him. Thank you for your incredible training Whis. Kaine said, detransforming.
Your power, talent and technique is the most incredible out of any mortal I have ever had the pleasure of training. Whis said. You already possess the necessary power and mastery over a multitude of the techniques you need to become a great god of destruction. The saiyan leaned his head to the side in confusion. You have soaked up everything it takes to properly control ultra insinct but you still have a very minimal understanding of destruction. Whis replied. To learn that you will have to pester Beerus if you wish to learn the ways of destruction. He added.
That's great. Kaine said. Whis. Yes? He answered. Is your sister Vados any stronger than you? The saiyan asked. Yes she is. She is my older sister afterall. Whis replied. You think she would be open to teaching me more things about Ultra instinct? I asked. Have I not aided you enough Kaine? I'm Hurt. Whis joked. She does get lonely with no one to train. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I got in contact with her and asked her to train you. Whis replied. Oh I can keep her company. The saiyan thought mischievously. Awesome. I'll put that on the backburner for now though. Imma go home though. See ya later Whis I'll tell Bulma to send you this thing called Brisket. Very well. The angel spoke with a big smile.

Your time has come, saiyan. You've run around long enough and now I'm going to choke the life out of you. I can't wait to watch you die. The evil man who possesed the body of goku spoke. Finish your goodbye's they're a waste of time. And afterall you're gonna be joining her soon. He said. It's funny. You have no chance of winning yet you still resist. You saiyans are so fascinating in your flaws. Black added. ID RATHER BE A TENACIOUS WEAKLING THAN A PRIDELESS COWARD! Trunks yelled, transforming into the ultimate state.
After defeating dabura and babidi the half saiyan reversed the petrification the z sword and continued training with it until they had a familiar accident that gave the man the energy to protect his future.
Trunks charged at the man with full power but the imposter of Goku was far too strong for the saiyan who quickly beat the hybrid to near death. He kicked trunks into a building and unleashed a barrage of ki waves. He charged one final ki blast in his hand. Good riddance saiyan He said. Trunks threw his sword at his arm, making the ki blast in his hand detonate. SOLAR FLARE! Trunks yelled, blinding him momentarily. The hybrid slipped away into the time machine. The saiyan saw it and charged a black kamehameha. It missed the man in the nick of time and he slipped away.
And that's how I got here. Future Trunks said. It's been a while Trunks. I'm sorry that I couldn't make you strong enough to fight this threat. Kaine apologized. It's alright. I came here because I know you might've gotten even stronger than I have. He spoke with a smile. So are you me or not? Present Trunks asked. We'll we have the same mom, just not the same dad. The older trunks explained. Weird. The younger one said.
Well Trunks, show me just how strong this evil version of Goku was. Kaine requested. The two took flight and the saiyan wanted to gauge trunk's own power as well. Trunks powered up to the ultimate state. Kaine flared his ki slightly in his baseform. It's incredible. You're power far beyond what I would've expected. Is this your ultimate form as well? He asked. Nah, Gohan uses that form but this is just my base form. Kaine explained. Incredible. I couldn't full sense that Black's ki but he defeated me with ease. Trunks said. Then whoever possessed your timeline's hero must have some sort of divine ki. Kaine spoke.
Divine Ki? Trunks asked. You can't sense it if you don't possess i-Suddenly a purple smoke shaped space time distortion appeared in the sky and lightning struck near the weird distortion. A version of Goku in Black clothes emerged. Is that your guy Trunks? Kaine asked. Yeah, that's black. He said.
What is this place? Goku black asked. So you're Goku Black. That's bizarre. I've been pulled through time. Goku Black said. Lemme fight this nigga. Kaine said. Who are you? The imposter spoke. I'm not goku, but I'm a much stronger guy than he was. Kaine boasted confidently. That can't be. This body has the strongest power of any mortal. Goku Black spoke with a smirk. Mortal huh. Now my associate over here says he couldn't sense your power and you speak to me like your a god yourself. Who are you really? Kaine asked. I am the justice that will eradicate you pathetic mortals. Black spat out. Judging by your annoyed expression i'm getting warmer.
Goku doesn't exist in this timeline but I bet I could give you an even better fight. Kaine said floating up, cracking his knuckles. Mortal barbarian! You cannot defeat me! Black yelled. Throw a punch, see what happens. Kaine said. Black charged towards the saiyan but he blocked the attack with one finger before pulling his arm forward and kicking him in the stomach and spiking him to the ground. Yes that power is what I want to feel up close. Black said. Looks like you can adapt and get stronger. Kaine said laughing as well. Good thing I can do the same the saiyan spoke. If you don't wanna bring this true power out then I'll just beat it out of you. The man dashed forward and used the timeskip, punching black in the liver. AGH! Wh-what is this power! Goku black yelled mentally.
The saiyan used a buddha shockwave to crush the man into the ground. The self proclaimed god was left heavily battered and injured. Your a lot weaker than I thought you'd be. Kaine spoke, standing over him. The man's body was suddenly flung into a time rift, the distortion fixing itself.
Bulma, you think you and Android 21 could create more of that fuel from the time machine so trunks could get back? Kaine asked. No you will not. Beerus said abruptly. Mankind will no longer tamper with time. These events raise vexing questions though. Whis said. The ring that man was wearing was a time ring only lent to supreme kais. Yeah and he also had a potara earring on one of his ears. Kaine added. Supreme Kai are divine beings and don't look like saiyans. Beerus said. He mentioned that saiyan's body like it wasn't originally his. Kaine rebutted.
Time rings are only designed to take users to the future and take them back to the present they traveled from. They cannot go back any farther than the present. Again. Traveling to the past for deities is strictly forbidden. Whis said. So how do we get Trunks back to his time so we can defeat him? Kaine asked. Fiddling with time is a transgression you lot and black have caused enough problems with. Beerus said. I'm not giving up on this one Beerus. The saiyan said, staring at him seriously. Your funeral mortal. Beerus said. It'll be your funeral too If I told the Omni King you forced me to do it. Kaine said in a petty tone. CALM DOWN! Beerus yelled.
Trunks. Come with me. I'm gonna get Gohan to train you. Kaine said. GIven the weak power I sensed from that corrupt god I'm confident my eldest son could defeat him. Gohan could? Trunks said, in intrigue. Oh yeah he's been training a lot since Cell. He's really strong. Kaine explained.
