Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: March 7th: Let Me Treat You to Coffee

Because the group owner, Kiana, didn't show up, no matter how many times Elysia @-mentioned her, it was the same.

In the end, she could only introduce to the newcomer herself what this group actually was.

[Miss Pink Fairy: Simply put, this group is something that connects countless worlds and randomly pulls people in from them.]

[Miss Pink Fairy: As for who created it… I don't know either, and even the group owner herself doesn't know.]

[Miss Pink Fairy: Oh right! If you or anyone in the chat group runs into a problem they can't solve, you can always come ask for help here. The group will compile your request into a mission and publish it, and then we can go to your world to help you solve it!]

Elysia rubbed her slightly sore fingers. Not long ago she had just finished messing around with Ying, and now she had typed such a long explanation all at once.

"Phew~ explaining to newcomers really is hard labor."

Elysia let out a breath as she said that.

This was basically unpaid work, and the chat group wouldn't give rewards just because you explained the rules to a newcomer.

Feeling the soreness in her fingers ease a little, Elysia picked up the water cup on the table and took a sip.

[Miss Pink Fairy: If there's anything you don't understand, you can @Miss Pink Fairy anytime~]

[Yang Sit-Up: Thanks.]

[Stelle, who had been lurking, suddenly jerked her head up. And you still say you're not Mr. Yang!]

Coincidentally, at this moment, Mr. Yang put down his phone by the window, walked to the chair, sat down, and closed his eyes to rest.

After a round of mental struggle, he still decided to observe for a while.

If Stelle's symptoms didn't improve, he'd have Pom Pom take them to Herta Space Station, or some other planet with better medical care, to get checked.

Even if the other person was a newly joined Nameless, the Nameless didn't join early or late, once you joined the Trailblazers, you were family.

Meanwhile, in a spot Mr. Yang didn't notice, behind a flower pot, through the gaps in the leaves, Stelle watched Mr. Yang carefully, her expression serious.

When Mr. Yang put down his phone to rest, the "Yang Sit-Up" in the chat group also stopped sending messages.

The disappearance times were almost synchronized.

What this meant didn't need to be said anymore.

But what she didn't understand was… why was Mr. Yang pretending not to recognize her?

No, wait, pretending not to recognize March 7th?

If it was to save face for me… for March 7th, then why was there no reaction even after logging off?

Stelle really couldn't understand.

"Ah, so you were hiding here! I finally found you!"

March 7th suddenly popped her head out from the opposite side. Stelle, who had been deep in thought, was startled by the sudden appearance and instinctively shrank back.

When she saw it was March 7th, Stelle let out a breath and stepped out from behind the flower pot, calmly putting the flower in her hand back into the soil.

"What's up?"

A bright smile appeared on March 7th's face as she handed over the cup in her hand.

Stelle accepted the cup. Looking at the steaming, unknown liquid inside, she sniffed lightly.

The name of this thing surfaced naturally in her mind.

"Coffee?"

"It's Himeko's coffee. I thought since you never tried it, you should have a cup and see what it's like. Hurry and drink, once it cools it won't taste good."

Though honestly, it didn't taste good even when hot.

March 7th stuck out her tongue in her heart.

Looking at March 7th's strange smile, Stelle was just about to lift the cup to her lips when a tight feeling rose in her chest.

She suddenly felt a sense of danger.

She glanced at March 7th, who was smiling encouragingly, urging her to drink, and then at Mr. Yang resting not far away.

The scene looked very peaceful. Stelle scratched the back of her head, assuming she was just overthinking.

"She really… drank it."

Dan Heng, who rarely spoke unless necessary, couldn't help commenting.

March 7th raised an eyebrow when she saw Stelle drink without her expression changing. She asked, "So? How does it taste?"

Stelle smacked her lips. "It's…."

Just as she said one word, her vision went black and she collapsed onto March 7th. The coffee cup in her hand rolled a few times on the floor before stopping at Himeko's feet.

Picking up the cup, wiping it clean, and putting it back on the table, Himeko sighed as she looked at the unconscious Stelle.

Since when had her coffee become March 7th's prop for pranks?

———

Morning in the Luofu, an artificial sun rose into the sky.

For the first time, Levi felt so relaxed.

After leaving the chat group, Levi stood by the window looking at the distant sunrise. Even though it was artificial, it still felt warm on his skin.

The purple lines on his arm seemed to have become slightly lighter at this moment.

He had thought that after contracting Honkai disease, he only had a few days left to live. He never expected that taking a gamble by coming to the Luofu would awaken two golden fingers for him.

And the second golden finger was actually a chat group that connected other worlds.

There were even two people from the Honkai world in it, Kiana, the group owner and protagonist of her own Honkai world.

And Elysia, who also counted as a protagonist.

With those two there, how could he possibly have nowhere to treat his Honkai disease.

"As long as I confirm what time period they're in…"

No! He didn't need that, he could use his own "Old Grandpa" system to help them overcome difficulties.

Then gain abilities from them.

Honkai resistance, this was practically the most basic and weakest ability for protagonists of the Honkai world.

It shouldn't be hard for that to drop.

Unless his luck was really bad.

Levi pulled out a mirror and looked at himself. The reflection showed a delicate-looking young man.

Because of his illness, his skin looked a bit pale.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

An ill-timed knocking sounded. Levi put away the mirror, confused.

He didn't know many people in the Luofu. Very few people would come looking for him on their own.

Let alone early in the morning.

Levi walked to the door and opened it, revealing a small, thin figure with a medicine box.

"You finally opened the door. My hand hurts from knocking."

Seeing the visitor, Levi instantly understood.

Bailu, the current Vidyadhara High Elder of the Luofu.

She was the first person to examine him when he arrived. When nothing worked to treat him, they ended up butting heads.

She came almost every day to check his condition and try new medicines to see if any worked.

But after more than half a month, aside from the Honkai progression slowing slightly, there had been no sign of recovery at all.

Though that alone was already surprising enough for Levi.

Walking into the room, Bailu rolled up Levi's sleeve, revealing the Honkai corruption marks on his arm.

Seeing that the symptoms hadn't changed at all, she frowned and muttered, "We've tried so many methods already. Why isn't there even the slightest effect…"

As a doctor, Bailu had cured countless difficult and complex illnesses.

The injuries that ordinary people sought medicine for were only considered untreatable because their civilizations couldn't handle them.

With the Luofu's advanced technology, those minor illnesses were easily treated and cured.

But Levi's illness was different.

Bailu had studied most of the Luofu's medical texts and crafted countless new medicines, yet none could cure him.

At most, they could only slow it down.

Thinking about this, Bailu took a few bottles from her medicine box. "These are the ones that can help relieve your… what's it called again?"

"Honkai disease."

"Right, these ones can relieve your Honkai disease. Take them at the usual dosage. When you run out, remember to come get more from me."

After saying that, she placed the bottles on the table and ran out of Levi's home, planning to return to the Alchemy Commission to continue concocting new medicine.
