Swoosh!
A tearing sound of air came from above.
The nearest Disciple, sensing a dangerous aura coming from Levi, immediately swung the weapon in his hand to strike him.
Levi glanced faintly at the oncoming blade.
"Too slow."
In his eyes, the blade came at him as slow as a crawling snail.
"And also…"
The Disciple only saw a blur before Levi's hand pressed against his chest.
"Stay away from me."
In an instant, a sharp pain burst in his chest, and the scenery around him rapidly receded.
Before everyone's eyes, he crashed heavily to the ground, rolled several times, and ended up lying neatly beside the first Disciple who had been sent flying.
For a moment, everyone who witnessed Levi's power, he had effortlessly taken out two of the Disciples of the Sanctum Medicus' combatants in seconds.
The remaining members of the Disciples of the Sanctum Medicus didn't dare to move recklessly.
After a brief silence, a figure who seemed to be their leader stepped forward, it was the same Disciple who had earlier begged Dan Shu for a chance to redeem himself.
The Disciple looked at Levi and said sincerely, "My friend, perhaps there's been some kind of misunderstanding."
His eyes were full of confusion.
His gaze drifted past Levi toward the house behind him.
'If the intel wasn't wrong, the man living in that house should be the one who had received the "True Trace of the Yaoshi."'
'Not this white-haired woman standing before him.'
'Could the information be wrong again?'
After the last failure, when the information had been mistaken, Dan Shu had severely scolded him.
Now, seeing that it wasn't Levi inside the house, or even a man, he instantly suspected the intel might have gone wrong again.
No, that can't be. They clearly saw Levi enter this house just now. There's no way it's wrong.
Levi calmly swept his gaze over the group of Medicus Disciples before him.
"You're looking for someone named Levi, aren't you?"
The Disciple felt a bad premonition rising in his chest.
"Yes."
"Then this isn't a misunderstanding."
Levi waved his hand, and the Subspace Spears behind him shot forward.
They turned into streaks of light weaving among the Secret Disciples, each passing strike claiming a life.
"Ah!"
Screams filled the air as Levi watched the scene unfold with calm eyes, void of any pity.
If it had been another group causing him trouble, he might have held back.
At least, he wouldn't have been this ruthless.
But since it was the Disciples of the Sanctum Medicus, he showed no mercy at all.
Why was Levi so cruel toward them?
Aside from the fact that they had targeted him,
That one phrase, "harvest the marrow alive," was reason enough for him to kill without hesitation.
Swoosh! Swoosh! woosh!
The Subspace Spears returned to hover behind him. Around him, every Secret Disciple who hadn't revealed their corrupted form was now completely wiped out.
Their bodies littered the ground, twitching occasionally.
Bright red blood streamed endlessly from their necks.
A mocking smile curved on Levi's lips.
"Aren't you Medicus Disciples supposed to be so powerful? Supposedly capable of curing me... curing his illness? Go on then, show me how you'll bring them back to life!"
Floating in midair, Levi adjusted into a more comfortable posture as he looked at the remaining Disciples.
"As long as you can revive them, I'll believe you have the power to heal his illness. I'll believe you really came here because you couldn't bear to see someone suffer in pain."
The remaining Disciples exchanged uneasy looks.
They understood Levi's tone, he was going to kill them all.
If there had been even a breath of life left, they might have been able to save them.
But those people were already stone cold. Reviving them now would take the Yaoshi himself.
Still, the Disciples who had already revealed their "True Immortal Visage" weren't afraid of facing Levi.
The leading Disciple withdrew his gaze from the corpses and looked across at Levi.
"Sending these mortals ahead to meet the Yaoshi, does that give you the confidence to believe you can defeat us?"
He stepped forward, and a long spear appeared in his hand, vines and branches crawling along its shaft, just like the ones growing from his own body.
The other Disciples took out their own weapons.
Some wielded custom-made firearms, others brandished twin blades grown from their own plant-like limbs.
A few had no weapons at all, floating in the air, their fingers forming hand seals.
An invisible power spread out from the leader, connecting all the other Disciples who had revealed their "immortal visages."
"Let me show you the blessing we've been granted..."
"Merciful Yaoshi!"
The others shouted in unison, "Merciful Yaoshi!!!"
Their voices echoed through the streets and alleys.
By all rights, people should've been awakened by the noise, yelling for quiet.
But instead, the area was eerily silent.
Even the ambiguous, suggestive noises Levi had faintly heard earlier that night were now gone.
In the nearby houses, pairs of eyes peeked out through cracks in windows and doors.
When they saw the mass of corrupted figures outside, they quickly covered their mouths, terrified of making a sound and being killed.
"I just heard them… those guys are the Disciples of the Sanctum Medicus?!"
"Who cares about what Medicus or whatever! Call the Cloud Knights right now!"
"With this many corrupted ones, shouldn't we be calling the Ten-Lords Commission instead?"
"They're Sanctum Medicus people!"
"You just..."
"I said stop talking! Call someone already!"
In midair, Levi's expression didn't change at all despite their show of force.
He still had that same calm, dismissive air, like they weren't even worth his attention.
His gaze swept coldly over the advancing Disciples.
"So this is the power your so-called god gave you? How pitifully weak."
The leading physical practitioner, the floating inner-core alchemist, the firearm user…
"And the ones with two wooden sticks growing from their hands, what do I even say to that? If I didn't know you were from the Disciples of the Sanctum Medicus, I'd think a circus had come to perform."
Adjusting his stance, Levi's feet hovered a few inches above the ground as he looked at them.
"Truly…"
He raised his hand, spreading his fingers. Imaginary energy shimmered across his palm.
"Ridiculous."
His hand clenched suddenly.
The ground beneath the Disciples surged upward toward the sky.
The sky above began crashing down toward the ground.
Left became right, right became left.
Every direction folded inward toward a single point.
The Disciples frowned, realizing something was wrong and immediately tried to flee.
But as they ran, they slammed into the edge of the compressed space and were bounced back.
They couldn't escape.
Yet they couldn't just stand there and wait to die either.
The physical practitioner quickly raised his spear and hurled it toward Levi, the source of the distortion.
Levi merely glanced at it. The spear disintegrated into scraps as soon as it touched the edge of the space.
All other attacks met the same fate.
The twin blades shattered the moment they hit the boundary.
Bullets fired from the guns vanished instantly.
Only the inner-core alchemist's attack managed to hit Levi.
Feeling the strange shift in his body, Levi frowned slightly and looked at the alchemist reaching out toward him.
With a flick of his fingers, the Subspace Spear shot out again. It returned moments later, stained with streaks of blood.
Inside the shrinking pocket of space, the alchemist's hands were now both pierced through.
The wounds were wrapped in imaginary energy, preventing any healing even with their strong regenerative abilities.
Having crippled their hands, Levi's five fingers once again glowed with that same unreal light.
He reached into his own chest effortlessly, pulled out the inner cores implanted in their bodies, and flicked them onto the ground.
"If you've got any tricks left, go ahead and use them. I've given you enough time." Levi spoke calmly.
He could have crushed them all into two-dimensional forms in an instant.
But he deliberately slowed the process, to let them fully feel the terror of dying, helplessly watching as it came closer.
"Maybe you can pray to that 'Merciful Yaoshi' of yours. See if he's got the time to save you."

[At the General's Residence]
Jing Yuan was just about to rest when he received word,
In Central Starskiff Haven, a group of Disciples of the Sanctum Medicus had appeared, revealing their corrupted forms and attacking a girl.
"Wait!" Jing Yuan paused midway through putting on his clothes and looked at Yanqing, who had come to report.
"You're sure it's not a man being attacked?"
Yanqing replied, "According to the informant, the ones surrounded by the Secret Disciples were indeed a young lady."
'Another unexpected twist?'
Jing Yuan quickly dressed and rushed out the door.
"Hold on!" Yanqing frowned at the jade slip in his hand. "The situation's changed, those Medicus Disciples were all taken down by that same girl."
He showed a photo clearly taken in secret.
In it, a white-haired girl Jing Yuan had never seen before floated in midair, her toes barely touching the ground.
In front of her, dozens of corrupted disciples were being crushed together by some unseen force, their bodies twisted grotesquely, and though their regenerative power kept them alive for now, they could do nothing but endure endless agony.
Seeing the photo, Jing Yuan smiled.
"Didn't I say immortality only brings suffering?"
Yanqing sighed. "General, this really isn't the time for jokes."

[Some Time Later]
[Central Starskiff Haven]
Jing Yuan arrived first at the scene. Seeing the piles of corpses, he couldn't help but raise his head toward the girl standing in front of Levi's door.
"Young lady..."
Before he could finish, Levi interrupted harshly.
"You broke your promise."
Those bright blue eyes fixed on Jing Yuan.
"You didn't keep your word. He's still being bothered by these ants."
Jing Yuan scratched his head awkwardly.
"Yes, that's my oversight. I didn't expect them to be this interested in Levi."
The Cloud Knights stationed in Central Starskiff Haven had been silently replaced without anyone noticing.
Before, the Sanctum Medicus disciples always acted cautiously, afraid of being wiped out in one go.
But this time, they had boldly replaced every patrol just to go after Levi, and they still failed.
All of them were wiped out by this mysterious girl before him.
Yet in all the people Levi knew, when had there ever been such a powerful young woman?
Looking at her face, Jing Yuan thought for a moment.
'Could she be a friend from his home planet, someone who had come looking for him recently?'
That would explain why he hadn't noticed her earlier.
Given her strength, being able to single-handedly annihilate so many corrupted disciples, it would've been easy for her to conceal her presence.
And besides…
"The reason Levi's illness healed so suddenly, was that perhaps thanks to you, miss?"
