Chapter 325 - Chapter 712: Spinel Is Stunned!

Seeing Axel pause for a moment, the corners of Spinel's lips lifted slightly. His green hair fluttered in the wind as he looked at Axel with a smile.

"Sir, how about we go sit over there and talk?"

"There's nothing for us to talk about, is there?", Axel smiled back at Spinel. His gaze passed over him and landed on the Beheeyem floating behind him.

"Also, how did my Pokémon end up over there with you? Come back home with me."

Hearing Axel's incoherent words, Spinel and his subordinates were all stunned at the same time, then turned to look at Beheeyem.

The meaning in their eyes was obvious. Why didn't you control this guy?

But Beheeyem gave them no response. Instead, it frowned in pain, its glowing green eyes flickering, like Ultraman running out of energy in a cartoon.

Spinel couldn't bother with Axel anymore. He grabbed Beheeyem's arm.

"What's wrong with you? Did something go wrong when you were training your mental power?"

"Damn it, there was never any problem before. Why is it failing today of all days?"

"Pull yourself together, Beheeyem!"

Axel grinned, casually glancing at the Beheeyem in his consciousness space currently getting double-teamed by the "youth version" Groudon and "youth version" Kyogre, then shook his head helplessly.

Just how suicidal was this guy, insisting on probing his mental power into his consciousness space.

With his current mindscape, aside from Arceus, even if Necrozma's consciousness went in, it would probably have to take a couple slaps before leaving.

As for this Beheeyem… leaving at all was basically out of the question.

"You… what exactly did you do to my Beheeyem!", Spinel finally couldn't hold back anymore.

He had originally planned to use Beheeyem to control whoever obtained the mask, and take it without attracting the attention of that mysterious "hero" and the Paldea League.

But he never expected that not only did he fail to get the mask, Beheeyem itself ran into trouble.

Axel spread his hands, looking innocent, "What did I do to your Beheeyem? I don't know either."

"You were the one who stopped me, not the other way around. What's with questioning me now?"

Axel grabbed Gardevoir's arm, lightly beckoned to Beheeyem, and turned to leave with it.

"Stop right there!", Seeing Beheeyem actually follow him, Spinel finally lost his patience.

As an executive of the Explorers, it was already rare enough that he didn't steal other people's Pokémon. Since when had someone stolen his?

At his shout, several Magneton appeared from who-knows-where, linking together midair to form a field shrouded in electric currents.

"Put down Beheeyem, and that mask you just bought. I can forgive your rude behavior!"

"Dropping the act now?", Axel looked at Spinel with interest.

"I thought you were a ninja turtle. Didn't expect you to lose patience this fast."

Honestly, the villains in Paldea were really different from those in other regions. Way too good at holding back.

They'd held it in so well that before Axel came to Paldea, he'd thought there were no villains here at all.

If it were Giovanni instead, after Axel stole his Beedrill, he'd probably already be contacting a cemetery to locate Axel's ancestral grave by now.

"You're the ninja turtle!", No matter how deep Spinel's scheming mind was, he couldn't keep his composure under Axel's repeated taunts.

With a wave of his hand, an Umbreon that had been drinking chocolate milk under a sun umbrella instantly got up and launched a Quick Attack at Axel.

Gardevoir beside Axel's eyes turned cold. Fairy-type energy surged as she was about to raise her hand and knock it away.

"Don't bother. If it gets dirty, we'll have to clean it later," He was about to meet Diao Chan and the white Gardevoir. Who knew whether they had any resistance to whatever modern toxins were on Umbreon?

Axel decisively waved at Beheeyem, "You go."

Beheeyem: "..."

If it hadn't been beaten speechless by Groudon and Kyogre, it would've really wanted to ask Axel, aren't you being a bit rude?

'I'm a Pokémon you snatched, not one you captured.'

Seeing Beheeyem hesitate, Axel gave Groudon and Kyogre another look.

Half a second later, Beheeyem's green eyes suddenly glowed red. Its body floated uncontrollably, shooting straight toward the electric field formed by the Magneton in the sky.

The frustration and resistance in its heart were completely erased under the "encouragement" of Groudon and Kyogre, leaving only the instinct to execute orders.

"Beheeyem! What are you doing? Come back!", Spinel was both shocked and furious. He couldn't understand at all why his ace would obey the opponent's command.

But his shout sank like a stone into the sea.

The Magneton in the sky had clearly received instructions as well. Seeing Beheeyem charge in, they immediately changed direction, bursting with intense electric currents.

Thunderbolt!

Several thick golden bolts of electricity intertwined into a net, fiercely pouncing toward Beheeyem.

As a Psychic-type, Beheeyem had no resistance to Electric-type moves. If this landed solidly, it would definitely hurt.

However, just as the electricity was about to hit, a red glint flashed in Beheeyem's eyes, and a powerful surge of psychic force burst out.

It wasn't attacking, but using the ability it was best at, controlling the electricity with its mind.

Invisible psychic power instantly wrapped around the violent currents.

Right before Spinel and his subordinates' disbelieving eyes, the "Thunderbolt" that had been rushing toward Beheeyem suddenly froze midair, then like a tamed pet, was forcibly redirected by an even stronger psychic force!

The electricity crackled unwillingly, but it was still completely controlled, turning into an even more condensed, brighter golden torrent that slammed toward the Umbreon nearby, which was trying to find another chance to attack Axel.

"Umbreon, dodge!", Spinel's pupils shrank as he shouted in alarm.

But his warning came a step too late.

Umbreon had just used the momentum of Quick Attack to neatly stop on the ground. Its crimson eyes were still locked onto Axel, preparing to launch another Dark-type sneak attack.

It never expected the threat to come from above, from what should have been an ally's attack.

When the torrent of "Thunderbolt," forcibly controlled by Beheeyem and even stronger than before, came crashing down, only then did Umbreon's keen Dark-type instincts realize that this deadly energy wave wasn't psychic, but violent electricity it couldn't resist.

"Bui!", Umbreon's fur stood on end instantly as it let out a terrified scream, trying to roll to the side with its excellent agility.

Its reaction was extremely fast. The muscles in its limbs tensed in an instant, its body already tilting, but it was still a fraction too slow.

The twisting, roaring golden lightning wasn't moving in a straight line. Under Beheeyem's precise control, it crashed down hard onto Umbreon.
