Chapter 3 - 3. Can’t Change Back And Now I’m Technically Undocumented

As night fell, the battery-powered wall clock finally moved its hands to the 5:00 mark.

It should have been the time when dusk is at its heaviest and brightest, yet inside a certain room, it was impossible to tell the time except by a clock or digital devices.

Pitch-black blackout curtains, cardboard blocking the little window on the bedroom door — no light could get in.

Which also meant the smell in the room had nowhere to go.

Leftover chips, instant noodle cups with a little broth remaining, empty but still strongly scented spicy-strip packaging…

Normally the room would be completely filled with that mixed smell. When someone stayed there long enough, they stopped noticing anything strange.

For Huaxin, that was always the case.

But now, the room didn't smell like that weird mixture, but was instead filled with a sweet, peach-like fragrance…

That kind of fruity scent easily leaves a good impression.

Like when a friend or classmate visits your home and says:

"Wow, your place has such a natural peach fragrance…" — compliments like that.

Huaxin never bought perfume, or peaches.

Her vitamin intake relied solely on discount vitamin tablets from those coupon-grabbing apps.

So the question was — where did this baffling peach 🍑 scent come from?

There was only one truth…

Somehow Huaxin, who had been leaning against the headboard, was now collapsed in the middle of the bed. Her long hair — once dry — now clung to her cheeks as if drenched.

No need to doubt.

Yes — correct — √ — Droite (French) — Правильно (Russian) — Rechts (German)…

Just what you're thinking.

The teddy-bear sheets she replaced just the day before were now wet.

If you got a little closer, you might find the source of the peach scent.

"Mm…"

Huaxin gasped for breath.

She had experienced four rounds of having her brain go completely blank — unable to think about anything.

From initially believing she could simply finish the act like when she was still a guy, to now making involuntary, provocative movements… she had to admit her current body was like a perpetual-motion machine.

"Is it… over…?"

Regaining awareness, Huaxin felt her throat scorchingly dry. She hurriedly grabbed the half bottle of water by her pillow and chugged it down.

"Ha…"

"I'm alive again…"

Rehydrated, she slowly came back to her senses — then felt warning signs from her body.

Her waist ached terribly. Her pair of slender, bare legs appeared in view, even glistening slightly in the dim light due to moisture.

She fell silent.

The familiar firmness she used to have was no longer responding — replaced by a feeling of openness.

Letting out a "waaah," the beautiful girl lying unclothed on the bed burst into tears.

"You said I'd turn back if I did it four times 😭😭😭."

"How could you be so cruel to me, God 😭."

"I want my buddy back, give my buddy back to me (crying)."

She looked as pitiful and helpless as a weak girl clutching a white sheet after having a bundle of cash slapped on her face by a man fastening his belt.

Tears welled in the corners of her eyes.

Her oversized half-sleeve shirt slid down, exposing her fragrant shoulders and collarbones.

For some reason — ever since her "buddy" ran away — she had become extremely prone to tears.

Real tears now, not the old "crying inside but no tears."

"Sob sob sob sob sob sob sob…"

This situation was far worse than losing her buddy.

Now truly — there was no solution at all.

Accepting her fate, Huaxin lay flat like a dried salted fish, teary-eyed.

If energy conservation applied — doing it four times as a guy = four times as a girl — and it still couldn't reverse the situation, then what else could a shut-in like her possibly do?

She stopped crying and opened another bottle of water, chugging half of it.

Way too water-draining.

She used to make a bottle last a whole day.

"It's already been so long…"

Wiping her tears, she tried to stand and pull on black wolf-print boxers — but a sudden electric shock-like sensation froze her on the bed again.

Her mind went blank.

Hands trembling, she pinched up part of her half-sleeve shirt to make it looser — anything to avoid fabric brushing her skin.

Feeling her current fragile, collapsible body, she sank into silence once more.

She suddenly remembered a famous saying:

"Practice brings true knowledge."

She hadn't searched the term earlier — but the… experiment — already told her the answer.

"Haa…"

Expression deadpan, pinching the hem of her shirt, Huaxin returned to her computer.

With no other options, she placed all remaining hope in the online forum — and in that person… No, forget it.

Thinking of him only brought back traumatic game memories.

After being crushed in a match with a cat champion score of 0–24–1, she furiously issued a 1v1 challenge.

Of course, the result was her adding the opponent's QQ and sending the 20 yuan penalty. She didn't delete him because she regularly messaged him to trash-talk — even though he never responded.

If he wouldn't block or delete her, then he could endure her insults!

"Hmph…"

She snorted, and opened the post she made earlier.

Replies:

sora Yao: "Let the bros have fun."

Absurd Absurd Absurd°: "Make it trendy first."

Side-Shui: "See if there's leftover fluids. Experiment self-fertilization."

Huaxin froze, then gritted her teeth and blocked Side-Shui's reply.

"You absolute freakish bottom-tier stinky degenerate trash!!"

"How could you even think of that?!"

After the angry rant, she awkwardly glanced at the tissues in the trash bin.

Completely dried out.

It's not that I was thinking strange things!!!

She slammed the keyboard in embarrassment.

It hurt. She behaved.

After calming down, she continued scrolling.

Pipe-Smoking Big Gun: 😃

Xie-Xie-Ni: 😃

Balloon Balloon Always: "Do four more, maybe you'll turn back."

At that, Huaxin looked at the wet bed and felt her aching waist, legs, arms — everything.

Quietly, she closed the tab.

If she did turn back, she'd feel comforted that someone else shared the same "brilliant" idea.

Collapsed in the chair, Huaxin stared hopelessly at the bright "Male" on her ID.

Then it hit her.

She stood sharply upright, eyes wide in horror:

"Wait."

"Am I… undocumented now?"
