For as long as anyone can remember
Roger was a... quiet child
Quiet yet very obedient.
Still there was always a pool of resentment hidden in depths of his eyes for everyone and everything.
So everybody just stopped looking at his way.
And before anyone knew it,Roger stopped looking back .
*Inside the laboratory*
The security alarm started buzzing,a rapid series of sharp,intermittent beeps,loud enough for everyone inside the laboratory to hear.
INTRUDER!! INTRUDER!! All the securities came rushing towards the room.
There was standing a fragile looking young man with pale skin and messy hair. He was wounded and even struggling to stand upright.
Though he had bandages on his arms,blood didn't stop coming out.
He was wearing a white button down shirt which had become wrinkled and a black tie
A glowing red collarband was also on neck which was signalling danger at the moment.
His breath ragged and uneven. Blood drips from his mouth as he coughs violently, each spasm shaking his entire body.
He gripped his shirt for support.
After struggling a lot,he finally found what he has been looking for this whole time.
He shouted "There you are" and started rushing towards that direction.
As he moved forward his body started shaking,he got dizzy,vision started getting blurry yet he kept moving forward and atlast his body gave in and he lost his consciousness.
After a few days has passed,Roger finally opened his eyes to the sound of birds chirping.
He woke up from his bed and heard a buzzing sound.
It was his phone's alarm.
He put a stop to the alarm and noticed a sticky note beside it.
The note read "Finish the papers for tomorrow's meeting"
Then he noticed his surroundings.It looked awfully familiar.
As he was wondering where he was,he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in" Roger commanded.
A lady wearing a butler's uniform came inside.
"Good morning Mr.Roger,Your breakfast is ready.Please,wash up and come downstairs."
Roger couldn't believe what he saw and heard and immediately mumbled a name "Lia".
Yes sir,is there any problems?
"No, nothing " Roger dismissed her.
"Then please pardon me"
As Lia was just about to grab the doorhandle,Roger stopped her.
"This might sound strange but can you please tell me today's date including what year it is"
"Sure sir, today is 10th of January 2020"
Jay couldn't believe what he just heard.
Ain't no way I'm 5 years back in time.
Everything felt unreal to him.The way all his wounds have healed itself. Not a single scar was in his body.
He couldn't figure out what has happened yet he was very glad that it happened.
Now he got a chance to correct all the mistakes he has done in the past 5 years .
