Chapter 176: Another Prison Break

Wuhun Hall's prison—Luo Ling arrived early in the morning.

To prevent Qian Renxue from forgetting to remind Salas, Luo Ling had personally gone to meet the Platinum Bishop of Heaven Dou City the day before.

He informed Salas about Yu Xiaogang's upcoming prison break and asked him not to interfere.

As for the matter of the Original God Sect, Luo Ling said nothing directly, but with Salas's intelligence, he naturally understood.

Yu Xiaogang was the divine messenger of the Original God Sect, while the Shrek Academy dean and Zhao Wuji were the two mysterious believers.

"Your Highness, are you certain the people from Shrek will come?" Salas stood beside Luo Ling.

He hadn't attended the final round of the promotion tournament today—instead, he joined Luo Ling to wait like hunters near a rabbit's den.

"Of course." Luo Ling nodded casually, a strange red gleam flashing in his eyes.

Not only Yu Xiaogang, but also Xue Beng.

If everything went as planned, Xue Beng would completely lose his right to contend for the throne today.

Seeing how confident Luo Ling seemed, Salas said no more and waited quietly.

In the royal mansion, Xue Beng once again heard the voice of the deity.

"You may act now. My messenger has already gone to the prison of the Wuhun Hall." The familiar voice echoed deep within his heart.

Resting on his bed, Xue Beng suddenly sat up. Since receiving the Blood Demon Ritual, the deity had not contacted him again.

At first, he had his doubts, but as he studied the ritual further, his reverence for the Original God only deepened.

"Really? Then I'll go right away!" He leaped from his bed eagerly and quickly dressed.

At the same time, Yu Xiaogang and his two companions were already near the Wuhun Hall's prison.

The three were masked, shrouded in black robes, and carefully hid around the corner outside the prison.

On the rooftop, Luo Ling watched quietly, and Salas focused his attention too.

Both saw what was happening, but neither made a move to stop it.

Below, Yu Xiaogang whispered something to Flender. Then Flender and Zhao Wuji cautiously slipped into the prison.

Yu Xiaogang stayed behind, keeping watch.

As during the previous raid on the royal prison, Yu Xiaogang stood guard while Flender and Zhao Wuji carried out the action.

"Your Highness, are we just going to watch?" Salas couldn't help but ask.

"Wait a bit longer," Luo Ling replied quietly.

Yu Xiaogang was here; now they needed only wait for Xue Beng.

Not far away, Xue Beng arrived near the prison. Stepping out of an alley, he immediately spotted a black-robed figure at the entrance.

His face lit up with joy, and he rushed forward without hesitation.

Yu Xiaogang saw him coming. Recognizing the pampered prince he'd met before at Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, his expression instantly tightened.

Flender and Zhao Wuji had only gone inside fifteen minutes ago—he needed to buy time.

He quickly took out the iron sphere Tang San had given him—the same one used in the royal prison before. It wasn't lethal but made loud noises and emitted a hallucinogenic poison fog.

As Xue Beng approached, Yu Xiaogang gritted his teeth, just about to activate it—when Xue Beng's words made him freeze.

"Are you the divine messenger of the deity?" Xue Beng blurted out without hesitation.

Yu Xiaogang was stunned, instantly realizing something was off.

Xue Beng's face held no sign of hostility—only excitement.

"I am also a divine messenger chosen by the Lord of the Original God! The deity sent me here to find you," Xue Beng continued.

Yu Xiaogang felt thunderstruck, staring in disbelief.

This man—also a messenger of the Original God?

He had always believed he was the only one. Even Flender and Zhao Wuji were merely "holy followers" in his eyes—and now, suddenly, there was another messenger.

Jealousy rose in his heart. He had served the deity faithfully—so why would the God choose another?

"You claim to be chosen by the Lord—what proof do you have?" Yu Xiaogang asked sharply.

Xue Beng hesitated. The deity had only spoken with him twice—how was he to prove it?

For a moment, he was at a loss.

Just then, Luo Ling's eyes erupted with deep crimson light.

Dream Abyss—activated.

An invisible wave of spiritual force spread outward.

Yu Xiaogang turned, ready to speak, when he suddenly sensed a cold, mysterious aura nearby.

Before him, the air cracked open, forming a dark vortex. From within, a shadow slowly emerged.

Both Yu Xiaogang and Xue Beng froze—they recognized that silhouette.

It was the same entity they had seen before: the Original God.

"Xue Beng is the new divine messenger. You will help him seize the throne of Heaven Dou Empire and make the Original God Sect its state religion!"

"I need countless believers!"

That dreamy, ethereal voice carried an overwhelming majesty that crushed all will to resist.

Yu Xiaogang finally understood why the deity had chosen another messenger.

Though Xue Beng was spoiled, he was still a prince—a potential emperor.

The god's plan was clear: expand faith through power. Supporting a monarch to spread his doctrine was the perfect strategy.

"I obey the divine decree!" Yu Xiaogang bowed deeply.

Xue Beng followed suit, hastily lowering his head.

"Go now. Let the Original God Sect spread across the world—you shall become its first Pope!"

The shadow's whisper echoed again. Yu Xiaogang trembled all over.

Pope.

A title so beautiful—so intoxicating.

He had long imagined himself as the god's chosen messenger, dreaming of becoming the Pope of the Original God Sect. But that had always been fantasy—until now.

The deity himself had decreed it.

"Praise the Original God!" Yu Xiaogang shouted in ecstatic joy.

Xue Beng's eyes shone with envy, but remembering that he would become emperor, his heart swelled with excitement too.

On the rooftop not far away, Salas watched the two below, puzzled.

They were bowing to thin air, murmuring to themselves—it was bizarre.

Luo Ling slowly let the red light fade from his eyes.

This was his Dream Abyss.

Yu Xiaogang and Xue Beng were completely immersed in illusions—everything they saw and heard was false.

Salas hadn't noticed a thing; it had all happened seamlessly.

When the two finally regained awareness, the image of the deity had vanished.

They exchanged glances, each seeing delight mirrored in the other's eyes.

"Very well. Since the deity has given his decree, I'll naturally help you claim the throne," Yu Xiaogang said, clearing his throat.
