Chapter 135 – Chaotic Battle
Tang San's Blue Silver Grass wound tightly around the waists of the six other Shrek members, giving each of them incredible mobility.
In an instant, he became the focal point of everyone's attention, drawing gasps from the spectators.
They hadn't expected the Blue Silver Grass martial soul to possess such resilience and strength. Its toughness exceeded all imagination.
To the onlookers, this unique control-type spirit master of Shrek significantly increased their chances of victory.
Yu Tianheng, too, noticed Tang San's importance. To him, Tang San was an even greater threat than Dai Mubai.
Earlier, during a momentary clash, Yu Tianheng had nearly struck Dai Mubai.
Had he followed through, Dai Mubai would have been injured badly.
But just as the blow came, Dai Mubai suddenly vanished—Tang San's Blue Silver Grass had yanked him safely back into formation.
Yu Tianheng resolved to break the Shrek formation by targeting Tang San directly, his domineering lightning power cutting off the enemy's core.
Lightning crackled around his arm as his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul shone bright. He dashed forward—it looked as if he were charging Dai Mubai, then abruptly twisted midair, streaking straight toward Tang San.
But Tang San's mastery went beyond his martial soul. His footwork, honed from Tang Sect's Ghost Shadow Perplexing Step, was nothing short of miraculous.
With one fluid shift, he avoided Yu Tianheng's Thunder Dragon Claw.
At the same time, the Blue Silver Grass entwined around his teammates suddenly tightened.
Xiao Wu, Ma Hongjun, Zhu Zhuqing, and Dai Mubai shot forward like arrows, their attacks converging from four sides toward Yu Tianheng.
This was the Shrek Team's preplanned strike—their lethal "decapitation" maneuver.
Caught in their trap, Yu Tianheng's eyes flickered in surprise.
Their coordination, their timing, the control Tang San exerted—it far exceeded his expectations.
But that was all.
He, after all, wasn't fighting alone.
Swinging his thunderous claws, he shattered Ma Hongjun's fiery Phoenix Fireline, the resulting explosion of lightning scattering sparks in all directions.
Bolts of electricity surged from his body, instantly scorching Tang San's Blue Silver Grass into cinders, the vines dissolving into black dust midair.
Still, the assault continued—Ma Hongjun's storm of fire advanced, and Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Dai Mubai closed in fast from every angle.
In the past, Yu Tianheng might have chosen to tank all their attacks head-on.
But since Dugu Yan's growth had allowed her, as vice-captain, to occasionally challenge his authority within the team, Yu Tianheng had learned caution.
Though annoyed, he couldn't deny her rapid progress and her critical role in the group.
Lightning gleamed in his eyes as his gaze locked onto Dai Mubai instead.
Tang San had already retreated behind, moving with such odd rhythm that even most agility-types couldn't keep up.
Attacking Tang San again would likely miss its mark.
So, the new target—Dai Mubai.
The enemy sought to "decapitate" him; why couldn't he do the same?
"Thunder's Wrath!"
Yu Tianheng roared. His second and third spirit rings flared, their combined radiance blinding.
Under his third ability, Thunder's Fury, he doubled his lightning strength and boosted his spirit power by half.
He unleashed his full potential.
His second ability, Thousand Thunder Bolts, erupted—countless electric lances arcing toward Dai Mubai.
It was an all-in strike, focused on one opponent.
He ignored everything else—Ma Hongjun's lingering flame, Xiao Wu's close-range assault, Zhu Zhuqing's flashing claws.
All he saw was the white tiger.
Dai Mubai had already activated White Tiger Vajra Transformation, doubling his offense and defense, even enhancing his resistance to external effects.
With his heterochromatic eyes merging into one, he let out a mighty roar—
White Tiger Light Wave!
A blinding sphere of white energy burst forth, colliding with Yu Tianheng's tempest of lightning.
Just then, three beams of white light cascaded from above—Ning Rongrong's amplification settled on Dai Mubai, magnifying his strength and courage to new heights.
Lightning and light met midway, their explosion shaking the entire arena.
Then came another collision—Yu Tianheng's dragon claws clashed directly against Dai Mubai's tiger claws.
The shockwave rattled the platform, streaks of lightning and radiant energy lighting up the sky.
What Tang San had intended as a four-on-one ambush had devolved into a head-on, brute clash between Yu Tianheng and Dai Mubai.
This shift came because of three streaks of green poisonous energy—Dugu Yan's strike.
Three streams of venomous Phosphor Finger Force had forced Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ma Hongjun to scatter, countering their attack formation.
Yu Tianheng truly did trust his team completely.
He fought without ever glancing behind him.
Landing from his clash with Dai Mubai, he lunged again immediately—Thunder Dragon Claw slashing forward.
The blow hurled Dai Mubai several steps backward.
Dragon and Tiger collided—but dragons had always been more imposing.
The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon simply outclassed the Evil Eyed White Tiger in essence.
Without Ning Rongrong's boost, that last exchange could have seriously injured Dai Mubai.
Yu Tianheng advanced once again, his body surrounded by a faint white light—Ye Lingling's healing ability already mending his minor wounds, ensuring he struck in peak condition.
Meanwhile, at the backline, Tang San's face darkened.
He hadn't expected the enemy control-type, Dugu Yan, to react so swiftly.
His carefully orchestrated advantage had been nullified, and now Yu Tianheng had turned the tables.
If Dai Mubai endured two more of those hits, he'd be spitting blood.
"Parasite!"
Tang San activated another technique. Back when his martial soul had been released, he had secretly left parasitic seeds upon Yu Tianheng's armor.
Now, the vines exploded into motion, Blue Silver Grass coiling tightly around Yu Tianheng's arms and torso.
It would never fully restrain him—but it could slow him just enough.
The brief delay gave Dai Mubai time to eat one of Oscar's recovery sausages, restoring a bit of his strength.
But now the deadliest threat wasn't Yu Tianheng—it was Dugu Yan's poison.
While forcing Zhu Zhuqing, Xiao Wu, and Ma Hongjun to retreat, she had already exhaled a dense wave of Green Phosphor Violet Poison.
Against venom, the Shrek Team couldn't unleash their full power.
Just like before, Tang San employed his old remedy: fire and alcohol to neutralize poison.
Dugu Feng narrowed his eyes as he watched.
Still the same… using Ma Hongjun's flames and Oscar's liquor to purify the toxins.
Alcohol fueled Ma Hongjun's fire, enhancing the Phoenix flames to their maximum intensity—the burning force enough to dissolve Dugu Yan's third ability, Green Phosphor Violet Poison.
It also didn't help that Dugu Yan's poison mastery was still immature—her purple mist too thick, too concentrated, not yet subtle or invisible enough.
Though her poison was neutralized, twin brothers Shi Mo and Shi Mo'er had already charged in.
The fight reset, returning to a near-stalemate.
The chaotic skirmish had subsided again, with both sides having taken little actual damage—yet demonstrating flawless coordination on each end.
The battle was fierce and mesmerizing. Every spectator watched breathlessly, unable to look away.
When the two teams clashed again, it would no longer be a probing exchange.
The next round promised to be pure, brutal war.
