Chapter 113: So What? Just Because You're the Continent's Strongest Doesn't Mean You're Right!
Turbid World Douluo wiped the sweat from his forehead.
It was clear to him now—Shrek Academy had been eyeing these young geniuses all along.
Otherwise, that crazy old woman would never have gone so far.
Among them, the so-called "Little Divine Craftsman," Tang Wulin, was of particular interest to Shrek's Sea God Pavilion.
Though his martial soul was the commonly dismissed Blue Silver Grass—once even blamed for Tang Sect's historic decline—it still bore a hidden lineage of the Golden Dragon.
Had it not been for Frost Ice Douluo defecting from the Sun and Moon Royal Soul Engineering Academy to join Shrek and revive Tang Sect, it might have vanished entirely.
Yet now, in later generations, the Spirit Transmission Tower had turned its back on Shrek, cozying up with the Federation instead of honoring "justice."
Still, the boy's golden dragon bloodline made him a perfect candidate to inherit Turbid World's self-created soul technique.
It was a pity he had already taken another master. Turbid World sighed regretfully.
"If only he could join Shrek Academy…"
But before he could finish the thought, Mu Chen interrupted him.
"No."
There was no way he would let Tang Wulin join Shrek. The last thing he wanted was for his beloved disciple to turn into another brainwashed Shrek loyalist.
Mu Chen dreamed of Tang Wulin inheriting his craft—perhaps even surpassing him as a true Divine Craftsman.
Turbid World lowered his gaze in disappointment.
He had finally found someone who could inherit his signature soul technique, but fate refused to allow it.
Even though he already had two disciples—Wu Zhangkong and Shen Yi—neither possessed the bloodline power necessary for his technique.
Those capable of inheriting his legacy were far too rare.
If that path was closed, he had to find another way.
"In that case," Turbid World said, glancing at Mu Chen, "my battle armor is just one step away from becoming a four-word set. I wonder if Master Mu could… assist?"
Mu Chen's expression darkened.
A four-word battle armor required a core crafted by a Divine Craftsman. He was only a Saint Craftsman himself. The request meant Turbid World wanted him to call on his senior brother.
Still, the offer was tempting.
Turbid World's bloodline-based self-created technique, the Crimson Dragon Nine Forms, was said to rival genuine ultimate soul skills.
For Tang Wulin—whose Blue Silver Grass was considered "useless"—mastering a bloodline ability could open the path to Titled Douluo and even beyond.
Mu Chen did not want his apprentice to remain stuck forever as a mere Saint Craftsman. To forge as a Divine Craftsman required more than skill—it demanded soul power at the Titled Douluo level.
Without that, the heavens' tribulation would crush the forger before the process ever succeeded.
A dead Craftsman forged nothing.
Mu Chen thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Agreed."
After all, the one enduring heavenly forging wouldn't be him—he'd just make his senior suffer a bit.
And when Senior Zhenhua saw his disciple's disciple carrying the potential of a future Divine Craftsman, he'd probably be delighted anyway.
Zhenhua: "What did I just sense?"
Inside the Sea God Pavilion, the atmosphere was suffocating.
"Do you understand your crime?"
Sitting at the head seat, Yun Ming glared sharply at Cai Yue'er. He hadn't expected her to cause such complete chaos.
Shrek was fragile enough as it was. They needed to rebuild carefully—not make new enemies.
She had been Outer Court Dean for years. How had she still not learned restraint?
"So what?!"
Faced with the man she secretly loved, Cai Yue'er only sneered. "You think I was wrong?"
Di Tian's earlier strike hadn't killed her, merely taught a painful lesson. Thanks to the Academy's healers, she was already recovered.
And yet, she felt no remorse.
How could she be wrong?
When Shrek's honor and dignity were insulted, every member was duty-bound to stand up in its defense.
Her actions were justified—an act of loyalty, even sacrifice.
She was proud to uphold Shrek's glory, to stand unyielding against shame.
Of course, when Di Tian himself intervened, even she wasn't stupid enough to seek death. She'd retreated to preserve her strength—a Super Douluo was a valuable asset to Shrek, after all.
But instead of praise, she returned to judgment.
So this was his thanks?
He wasn't worthy of her devotion. She must have been blind ever to care for such a man!
Yun Ming's headache grew worse with every second.
With most people, he could reason logically. With this woman—impossible.
He couldn't exactly hit her either… even if part of him wanted to.
"Do you realize the damage you've caused?" he said, his patience fraying. "Attacking juniors in public—do you want the entire continent to see Shrek as a shameless bully? How are you any different from an Evil Soul Master?"
"Yun Ming!"
Cai Yue'er clutched her still-healing wound, eyes blazing.
"I've shed blood for Shrek! I've dedicated my whole life to it—and now you dare accuse me of being an Evil Soul Master? Even I have my dignity!"
"Yun Ming, what do you mean by this?"
"I—"
"Save it!" she snapped. "I didn't even injure them seriously. I only intended to teach them a lesson! Who could've guessed Di Tian would interfere?"
"And speaking of that, it's clearly the Spirit Transmission Tower—"
"Enough!" Yun Ming roared. "Will you never stop twisting the truth? Can't you see you're the one at fault?"
Cai Yue'er laughed bitterly.
"So I get punished, but you—the Great Pavilion Master—do nothing? The students get compensated, the Academy pays the price, yet you escape blame. Tell me, Yun Ming—how are you any better?"
"Forget the facts for a second—does being the Sea God Pavilion Master, the so-called strongest man on the continent, make you infallible?!"
"You hide like a coward, leading Shrek into disgrace! You're worse than the so-called weakest Pavilion Master of ten thousand years ago, the Gluttonous Douluo! When you die, how will you even face the ancestors of Shrek!?"
With that final shout, she vanished in a burst of light, leaving Yun Ming sitting silently.
He exhaled a long, weary sigh.
He was tired—beyond exhausted.
"Wu Yu," he said heavily, "keep an eye on her. Do not let her act recklessly again. She's confined to the Sea God Pavilion until further notice—and stripped of her Outer Court Dean position. Turbid World will take her place temporarily."
"Yes, Pavilion Master!"
"Dismissed."
Yun Ming's voice reverberated through the Pavilion—cold and absolute. It wasn't just a declaration of anger, but a warning to any elder growing restless.
Did they really think Shrek was still untouchable?
Idiots.
Even an Ultimate Douluo like him could barely suppress the fury boiling inside.
Later, in a quiet courtyard, a soft voice brought peace to the air.
"What's wrong? Someone made you angry again?"
A graceful woman surrounded by a serene, life-filled aura approached him gently.
"Yali…" Yun Ming's tone softened. "You know our crisis as well as I do."
"But… am I truly the strongest man alive? Am I truly invincible?"
"Sitting here as Pavilion Master of the Sea God Pavilion feels like walking on thin ice. Can I really lead Shrek safely to the other shore?"
