Kairo was currently busy listening to Crocodile yapping. Though when the yap was over and he was left alone, he sighed. It was time to go to Vivi and give her this Den-Den Mushi. It would be all the proof she could possibly need to build a case against Crocodile and show once and for all that her father was innocent, and the reason for the drought was because of Crocodile.
He was about to go somewhere until he was stopped.
"Mister 2," Miss All Sunday would say.
"Miss All Sunday, what is it?" he said, his brow furrowing, acting like he was annoyed she was intruding in his free time when he was doing his sick dance moves.
Her brow seemed to furrow as she looked at him. Something about him felt off. She could sense it. Probably since she had to hide a part of herself for so long, she felt like this Bon Clay was different, odd even.
"Mister 2, you seem in a rush. Am I bothering you?" She sounded like she was probing him for something.
Oh well, he was a training ninja. He wasn't folding to just a hot girl.
Goddammit, Kairo thought. What if she was hot, and what if she made his heart skip a beat? He was on a mission. He must hold back.
Hold back his desire or this mission would be over. He must finish his mission.
His willpower was truly being tested right now. This situation was the equivalent of being in a life-or-death battle for him. His Haki was steadily growing.
And even though this shouldn't have such an effect, Kairo's ninja way was to accomplish his mission. That was one part of his will and so on.
But right now, his chest was beating so damn hard, and it was taking all of his willpower not to act like Sanji.
He had to keep this zesty act.
"I had ballet practice in 30 minutes with the Gillions, so you could say that, darling~"
Once more, Robin felt like this "darling" felt like flirting.
Yet, she had no proof. Oh well.
"Well, I wouldn't want to bother you," she said, allowing him to walk away. He simply walked away. Her gaze lingered on him.
Something about him felt off. Oh well, time to go do some more crime. Maybe she could learn about the true history of this world here. Though she wondered if that was before or after Crocodile probably backstabbed her ass like no other.
Well, food for thought. Oh well, as long as she could read the Poneglyph, she didn't give a fuck who backstabbed her.
It wouldn't be the first time this happened, and it wouldn't be the last either.
She went back to work. She wondered if she felt like this with Mister 2 because he could switch faces. Maybe it had something to do with it.
He could be anyone.
She sighed. Her suspicion had no reason to be formed to begin with. Last she checked, Mister 2's fruit was like the only fruit with such an ability. And while another fruit like that might exist, it was probably further up the Grand Line than Alabasta. Like, come on, it was one of the first few islands when coming here.
She sighed a bit. She needed some sleep.
POV Change — the Strawhats.
It was the middle of the night. The Strawhats could be seen camping. It seemed like they had a new member in their group, and Luffy seemed quite close to the person.
The future Donut, with the Whitebeard tattoo on his back—truly glazing this old Buccaneer to no end.
Ace wanted to make Whitebeard, the man with no beard, yet named that, the Pirate King. Speaking of this, why was it that people with no beard called themselves by beard names?
Oh well. At least Teach got it right. Blackbeard. He does have something. As for the old Buccaneer that Stussy used to feign for—probably still does—wanting that Buccaneer meat for over 30 years was insane work, but oh well.
Luffy could be seen speaking to Ace.
"I have this ninja in my crew and he can do Jutsu."
Ace's brow furrowed. Last time he checked, ninja were kinda bums. He went to Wano, he saw it with his own eyes—those guys were bums. But managing to have Luffy this excited, he wondered what kind of bullshit this guy fed to Luffy.
As he thought of that—
In the middle of the crew, Kairo appeared, still in Bon Clay's form.
"Who knew this guy was so popular," he said, annoyed.
"Oooooh~! What's the matter, darling!? You mean to tell me you cannot handle the everlasting spotlight that shines so brilliantly on meeeeee~!? Fufufu~! The stage is mine, the light is mine, the world is mine!~" Bon Clay said.
Kairo gave him a blank stare.
"Kairo, you're back!" Vivi sounded excited. He sighed as the illusion vanished.
Ace's brow furrowed. Odd. Was this a Devil Fruit ability? No... he felt like his Observation Haki was being messed with.
"Hm." That was his curt reply.
Geez, he was tired.
"Crocodile is going to be in the casino for the foreseeable future. He's planning on using Mister 2 to impersonate the king and have a riot start. While the army fights the rebels, he's planning on going and stealing something called a Poneglyph."
As those words left his mouth, Nami was like—
"The hell is a Poneglyph?"
Vivi paused a bit before saying,
"I've only heard about them once before as a child. But Father said they were used to record ancient history from the Void Century. But even if he reached it, I doubt he can read it."
Kairo was going to say he thought Robin could read it, but since Ace was there and he wasn't that trusting, he kept that info to himself.
"When I spied on him when he was alone, he mentioned something about an ancient weapon."
"It has to be some kinda super overpowered weapon for him to do all of that," Sanji said.
Vivi looked down. Her nation was reduced to this because someone wanted a weapon.
But what was the need for such info if they had no proof?
Kairo took out a Den-Den Mushi from his seal bag and tossed it to Vivi.
When she caught it, it began playing, and a video cue of Crocodile revealing his plan could be heard.
"How the hell did you manage to do that?" Usopp seemed shocked.
"I'm a ninja. Stealth is kinda my thing. And Crocodile's Observation Haki is poor. All I had to do really was lower my heartbeat and breathe slower, and he couldn't sense me."
He then felt himself being crushed by a hug. The hell? Why was she hugging him?
Sanji looked furious.
"Vivi, you're choking me!"
"Sorry!" She seemed nervous. Oh well, no biggie.
"Who he?" Kairo pointed at Ace.
Luffy beamed.
"This is my big brother Ace!"
Kairo tilted his head.
"You have a brother...?"
"Yeah."
"So you're the ninja who joined my brother's crew," Ace said. Kairo's gaze locked onto the man. Hm. He looked friendly enough.
