[Now, all of you must be curious as to what experiment I'm doing.]
As the being stated that, Lucky nodded vigorously. Perhaps because he was the first one to do that, the being turned its "head" towards him, seemingly noticing his curiosity.
[Simply put, I will be transporting you all randomly to a world of fantasy.]
[You are all beings of the same universe. A universe where magic and supernatural things do not exist. A universe purely of science.]
[But what would happen if I put all of you in a universe where magic and the supernatural exist? That is my experiment.]
[The fantasy universe that you will all go to is quite similar to your own. It has planets, stars, moons, galaxies, superclusters, and so on and so forth. Everyone here will be sent to a random planet in that universe. Let's hope that that planet has a similar species or even the same species as you are.]
[You can do whatever you want in that universe, whether you live a normal life or not is up to you. I will only be seeing how it goes, and all of the contents of what you all do will be going into my thesis.]
[To spice things up, I will give you all a list of things that you can take with you. Some of those things might seem cheat-like. But trust me, you'll need them in such an unpredictable and dangerous universe.]
[Choose wisely, each person can only take 3 things. The list's system is smart, you can search anything that you think of, and the search results will be as close to the thing that you want. Since that universe is a fantasy one compared to yours, the things listed will be things that exist in that universe.]
Suddenly, a holographic window appeared in front of everyone.
Lucky looked at the list of things in the holographic window. It seemed to be listed alphabetically to him.
There was a search bar on the top left, and he immediately pressed it.
Then, a holographic keyboard appeared. Whatever this thing was, it seemed as if it knew the user's most familiar tool to search things.
Lucky started typing. In his mind, he knew that this new world will be a tough place.
After all, the being already mentioned it. The universe they were going into was dangerous and unpredictable.
Thus, his priority would be survival.
Just to experiment, he searched up "Omnipotence" in the list.
Unfortunately, the closest thing to it was something called Book of Ascendancy.
[Oh, I forgot to mention this, but you can check the information of things in the list by pressing them once. If you press and hold, those things will be chosen as one of the three things you'll choose. So, be careful and not choose accidentally.]
Though he could not speak, Lucky could still see and look around him. So he decided to check his new acquaintances of their lists.
He could see that Yu was searching up magic stuff, Leo was looking up the information of a certain swordmanship manual, and Alicia had already chosen her 3 things.
Looking at her list more closely, he could see what she had chosen.
'Heavenly Demon's Ultimate Path Manual? Immortality Peach? And Sword of The Heavenly Fire? Is this girl a wuxia nerd?' He thought.
'Wait, if those things exist, then can't I take them as well? They certainly do seem overpowered,' pondered Lucky.
[Oh, I forgot to mention this as well. Certain things in the list are of limited-stock. Since we have 3 quadrillion participants in this project, the experiment would end too fast if I gave you all overpowered things.]
Hearing such bombshell of an info, Lucky immediately searched what Alicia had taken and he could see that they were greyed out.
'Stock: 0 out of 10 for the Heavenly Demon book? No way. The peach and sword are out of stock as well?' Dread began seeping into his thoughts.
He began searching up "Omnipotence" again. Thankfully, Book of Ascendancy had 7,123 stocks out of 10,000 left.
He immediately began reading the information.
'Book of Ascendancy: A book written by a certain god of the planet called Gaia. The book details how a mere mortal became a god. The god who wrote the book was that same mortal.... huh, this could be good. But would this only apply to that planet?'
'No, since this was a universe of fantasy, doesn't it mean that the magic and supernatural powers of one planet could be applied to another even in another form? Then that means that this book could be very useful.'
He decided to take the gamble since the stock of the book was rapidly decreasing.
He pressed and held the icon of the book for a few seconds. Then, a star icon appeared next to the book's icon.
When he pressed it, a text that said, "This item is yours" appeared.
Then, without wasting more time, he decided to copy Alicia's homework. As she had gotten the Immortality Peach, he wanted to get something similar.
Searching up "Immortality" into the list, he was immediately disappointed.
Most of the things that sounded overpowered were all out of stock.
However, after scrolling for a while, he found the closest thing there was to an immortality item.
'Vampire Serum [Human], huh? The stock is still around 3 million out of 10 million. Wow, are there really that many humans participating in this and choosing to become vampires?' He questioned.
Then after pressing lightly, the information of the vial filled with an ominous red liquid was shown.
'Vampire Serum [Human]: A serum that turns humans, specifically humans, into a vampire. If a being of a different species were to use this, they may not turn into one and may even die upon using it, depending on how related they are as a species. To use this, you can either ingest or inject it.... wow, this might be dangerous, but I'll take it.'
Then, he pressed and held the vial's icon for a few seconds and the familiar star icon appeared next to it.
'The last thing I need is something that can make me adjust to that world's.... society? Civilization? Damn, I hope I land on civilized land.'
Thus, he searched "Language Comprehension" as his last choice.
'Oohh! There's still a lot left. But they're almost all just different language books. I need to get an ability or artifact that gives me language comprehension for all languages,' he thought.
'Wait, what's this? Draconic Mind?' He questioned.
'Let's see, Draconic Mind: The most basic power of all dragons exist in their minds. A dragon's mind can comprehend all languages easily, as they're essentially beings designed to crave and learn all knowledge as soon as they're hatched. A dragon's mind is also made for Draconic Words, their own special language that can only be uttered in their minds. That power is often called Draconic Mind by dragons themselves.... what the hell? This one is broken, and there's only 1 out of 100 stock left, so I'll be taking this one,' he thought and decided.
Then, he pressed and held the icon of the dragon's head. The star icon appeared next to it, now he had 3 out of 3 things chosen.
