I was chilling in shool with friends
But suddently i got
Bamm*
Where am
"WELCOME TO THE DREADSHIFT. Game
SURVIVE, IF YOU CAN."
I felt something burn against my chest. When I looked down, an unfamiliar deck box hung from a thin silver chain. Empty. Bone-white. Cold as a morgue slab.
Then a message appeared in the air, written in something that looked too dark to be ink:
YOU MAY COLLECT WHAT YOU FIND. YOU MAY KEEP WHAT YOU KILL.
BUILD WISELY. Couse from now
On nobody is your friends
Be kilt or kill
People screamed, ran, hid. Shadows moved where shadows shouldn't be. Something too tall to be human dragged itself down the street, joints cracking like snapping branches.
My hands shook as I opened the box. Inside was a single blank card.
The moment my fingers brushed it, a pulse hit my mind — a direction. A location. Like the card wanted me to find… something.
So I went.

Chapter 1 — The First Card
The world twisted as I traveled. Streets looped into dark, maze-like spirals. Streetlights flickered with trapped fireflies that weren't fireflies at all but tiny, chittering faces.
I saw a gas station
So i went toward it to look for anyting
I lookt at it
It was a abandoned gas station. Broken windows stared like empty eyes. The air smelled of rust and old breath.
Something was inside.
It wasn't human.
It was crouched near the register — a creature shaped like a person only if a person had grown backward, ribs on the outside like a cage welded from bone. Its head jerked toward me, mouth opening sideways, rows of teeth clacking like dice in a cup.
Fear should have frozen me.
But the card in my hand burnd
Words carved themselves across the blank surface:
ITEM: OIL-SOAKED WRENCH
RARITY: COMMON
METHOD OF ACQUISITION: CLAIM OR KILL
I spotted the wrench beside the monster, half-buried under its twisted limbs.
The creature lunged.
I moved on instinct, grabbed the wrench, and swung. The impact reverberated through my bones. The creature hit the ground, convulsed once, then dissolved into black ash that crawled across the floor — sucked straight into my card.
The blank card hardened, ink spreading across it:
MONSTER: RIB-CRAWLER
TYPE: PREDATORY
EFFECT: SUMMON TO DISTRACT OR SCOUT
STATUS: OWNED
My breath hitched.
I could build a deck.
A deck from the world's dying remains.
