-----(Amir)-----
Magic, the coolest thing ever.
I feel like I've had that thought before.
I took a deep breath as I stood in front of the same fountain that had greeted me when I first arrived, notebook in hand.
On the open page was a magic circle of my own creation, one that I had made using all of the knowledge that I had gained over the last two months.
TWO MONTHS.
That's how long it had taken me to create a magic circle that I was confident would work and function, plus finding my mana pool and another insane project of mine.
But after all that grueling work, those late night hours, those days without food...
I've done it!
Alright, I'll check my notes one last time and then I'll just let it rip.
-----(Switch)-----
Day 12 (Entry 1):
I've discovered the difference between the magic systems, or at least, I think I have. I had tried with no luck to find a book about devils, angels or Gods. It wasn't that surprising considering the lack of them in Kingdom Hearts, but it was still disheartening.
Thankfully, my trusty book on crests helped me form a hypothesis that I believe is accurate (talking like a scientist is kind of fun). As my other book explained, mana are neutral particles, and so that got me wondering. How does demonic power, holy power or divine power even work? It's only by comparing them to crests that I figured it out. That and physics. Engineering makes me understand magic better, that's something.
I'm getting off track. The hypothesis is that demonic mana or holy mana (I am not using power) have more energy than normal neutral mana. The way I think about it, demonic mana is mana that has a corrupted attribute. That attribute can act as a substitute for mana, making it so one unit of demonic mana is equal to at least 2 units of normal mana.
Now comes the question of how that allows devils to use imagination to create spells. This part is where my theory becomes farfetched. I think that the demonic attribute isn't just a corruption attribute but a mix of different things that make it an equation within itself. The thought was born from the Heaven System actually. That thing works like a divine computer that uses magic instead of coding. That last part is the important bit. What if the demonic attribute works like a very small crest that is engraved onto devil blood? Imagination can't be enough, no way it is, or devils would be the strongest race. My guess is that the demonic attribute acts as an AI helper in a way. The individual imagines, visualizes and understands what a spell should do, and the demonic attribute acts as the filler equations to create the magic circle. Add to that the crest that each noble house has and you get a race that has a natural advantage in magic.
That's what Merlin found out and so he broke down the AI helper that is the demonic attribute into equations and geometric patterns.
Maybe that's insane, but that's what I'm going with.
It also explains the other systems to an extent.
Holy mana works a bit similarly to demonic mana, but instead, I think the holy attribute, while being a mix of purification and other things, allows the individual to connect with the Heaven System. It does all the calculations and then helps the person manifest it.
Divine magic, or magic born from Gods like Norse magic or Shinto magic like talisman, uses languages, so my theory is that those types of magic are connected to the divine realms or dimension of the Pantheon and to any God of magic they might have. So basically, runes are just condensed mana that takes the shape of a letter and uses a God of magic's divinity to do what an equation would. Fae magic is the same, but they use the mana of nature instead.
I'll work with that assumption in mind and see where this goes.

Day 26 (Entry 13):
Words are power.
Ever since the last entry, I've finished the two books I had started and have progressed to more advanced material that's focused on the practical aspect.
Words are power.
I'm repeating that because it's a sentence that has been frequently used in my current book. You can use words to help you focus on your magic, to help you trick an opponent or even to stop someone else from casting. It's a practical book, so it teaches how to fight magic users too.
It's brought me to a new thought and theory to add to this notebook. Hopefully it will be a successful one. Ever since my first entry, all my new hypotheses have been disproven, so I'm praying for a turnaround.
My new idea is that one can use words to replace equations. More specifically, the final equations that are focused on merging the different attributed mana. I'm going to use the fireball spell again since it's a simple example. If one were to use the words "Fly, fireball" I think they'd be able to remove multiple of the mentioned equations. Of course, it would probably be something to add into a crest to allow for easier casting, but it makes sense. The words represent what the spell is, a ball of fire, and what it's doing. If I ever create a crest, I'll have to add an equation like that to it.
Words are power.
Theory: Those words are true in more than just a figurative way.

Day 31 (Entry 14):
I found it. My mana pool.
I've just finished the same book that I mentioned in Entry 13. Its ending chapter was one that talked about how a magic caster could lower their casting time.
It stated that for one to cast faster, the best way would be to find a mental foci and have a clearer picture of the process. By having a consistent mental foci that the caster can return to, they can focus faster and thus cast faster.
That got me thinking, can I use a mental foci to find my mana pool?
The answer is yes.
The mental foci I've chosen is a water turbine. I imagine my mana pool as an ocean that's being held back by a dam. Whenever I need to access it, the dam is lifted and the flowing water hits a turbine that produces the spell. The turbine in this case is what I imagine as the magic circle.
Using this image and a bunch of trial and error, I finally found my mana pool.
Something to mention is that from what I'm sensing, the mana doesn't feel demonic. It's my first time sensing mana, so I can't be sure, but I tried to use magic according to my first hypothesis in Entry 1 (imagine, visualize, understand) and it hasn't worked.
This means that either I'm wrong or I was right all along. Since I don't feel anything corrupted, I'm inclined to go with the second option, meaning that as long as my bloodline is locked, I'll have to cast spells like a human, which in truth is a boon since I'll have a better understanding when I finally do unlock it. I don't know exactly what happens when I do unlock it. Will the demonic attribute present in my blood, and therefore the crest engraved in it, convert my currently neutral mana pool into demonic mana? I'll have to see in the future.

Day 35 (Entry 15):
The last two entries have inspired me to do something I didn't think I would do so soon.
I'm going to begin attempting to build or formulate a crest. My own personal crest that will fit me best.
I already have the general idea of it and it's incredibly complicated, meaning something is more than likely to go wrong, but now that it's in my head, I just have to try it.
My main idea is to use the symbols representing the members of the early rendition of Organization XIII as the main crest and to start using Greek, Arabic and Hebrew numbers in my formula in hopes of it making it more attuned to myself and my blood. All three languages fit. Iskandar was Greek originally, so I'm hoping that including that in my crest will help in some way. Hebrew is a language I began learning because the most recognized book about devils in the world was written by Solomon and was in Hebrew. It might connect with my devil blood and there's no reason not to try. Arabic is because of who I am currently. Each language represents a part of me.
If this works, then I'll be able to do something amazing.
I hope it does.

Day 60 (Entry 42):
It's been a grueling month. Hell, I don't think I've ever felt this tired, but I'm done.
I've done it and I've refined it even more.
On this page is my magic crest that, when used for the first time, will recognize my blood and engrave itself on it.
I will state everything the magic crest does here and come back to change whatever is needed in time. I've already put marks on the entries with detailed equations, so this will work as a summary.
Xemnas – Middle of the crestThe equations here are specialized in canceling spells, my own that is. Something I read in one of the many books I've now become well-versed in explained that sometimes, you need to switch between spells mid-creation, which takes too much time in the middle of battle. This symbol cancels any spell that hasn't been launched yet and uses the mana that was already in use to begin constructing a new one.
Xigbar – Top of the crest, position XIIThis symbol's equations are all geared towards movement, coordinates, and teleportation. A problem I noticed while watching the anime was the lack of instant teleportation, and this fixes that problem. It also helps in recording coordinates and changing the position of spells. Portal equations will be added later.
Xaldin – Position IThis symbol focuses on force manipulation and vectors. It's still quite limited for the moment but will improve eventually. I lack an analysis symbol, which makes creating one using purely equations difficult. It works, but it isn't instant, so it's not viable for combat yet.
Vexen – Position IIThe equations in this symbol relate to the human body. They can be used to heal by utilizing cell regeneration, or for more unsavory purposes. This symbol is currently completed to the max. Until I leave and get books on the physiology of supernatural beings, its limit has been reached.
Lexaeus – Position IIIThis symbol focuses on barriers. The calculations are designed for strong barriers, but it also allows for more creative uses, such as using them offensively.
Zexion – Position IVThis symbol is intended to make the phrase "words are power" true. It is the result of my theory from Entry 2 and focuses on enhancing the effect of words within magic.
Saix – Position VThis symbol acts as an enhancer. It has equations relating to celestial bodies. These equations draw from celestial bodies to increase the strength of spells and lower mana consumption. I cannot fully confirm its effect since Scala Ad Caelum's Sun and Moon are artificial, but it gives me enough direction for future refinement.
Axel – Position VIAll the equations in this symbol revolve around the concept of heat. This includes fire, thermal energy, ice, and even thunder. Everything is related to heat in some way. It is still in the initial stages for a reason similar to Xaldin, the lack of an analysis symbol or spell delaying more complex applications.
Demyx – Position VIIThis is one of my more eccentric ideas. This symbol focuses on synchronization and was created to make multi-casting easier. The concept is simple and predictable, but it relies on rhythm, which makes it different. The symbol makes my spells follow a beat I choose, whether that is 200 bpm or rather, 200 spm. It will make things a lot easier in the future.
Luxord – Position VIIIThis symbol focuses on storing certain spells that can activate automatically depending on the situation. I can store a healing spell inside here, and it will activate on its own if I am injured, without using my current mana, since it stores the mana as well.
Marluxia – Position IXThis symbol emulates the magical ability of King from the Seven Deadly Sins, the ability to enhance or reverse something. It can make a small wound fatal or reverse it. I still need an analysis spell to complete it.
Larxene – Position XThis symbol contains all enhancement formulas. It is geared towards extreme physical enhancement. When I get Touki, I will add new formulas to enhance Touki itself if possible.
Roxas – Position XIThis is another eccentric idea. The symbol reverses things, turning light into dark, or demonic into holy. It also requires an analysis spell to complete.
This is my magical crest. The crest of Amir Nasser and no one else's.
Now let's hope it works. The first test will be in a week.
-----(Switch)-----
I closed my notebook and placed it gently on the edge of the fountain.
In front of me stood Larxene and a wooden training dummy. The puppet was, as usual, standing to the side and staring at me without any other movement.
I stepped forward, taking measured strides, until I was ten meters away from the target exactly. An extra step to make my spell's backlash less severe if it malfunctions. Easier values reduce mistakes after all.
These past two months have awakened a love for research in me and strengthened my fascination for magic to an even higher degree. I prayed to any God out there that this would work, that I would succeed.
I knew that the chances were higher that I'd fail, but even so, I couldn't help but expect the best.
I took another deep breath, something I had been doing a lot lately, and raised my arm.
I closed my eyes and opened the dam. As the turbine began to spin, I felt my mana pool taking a hit, confirming that the spell construction had begun.
Step 1: Complete
I opened my eyes and saw in front of me an almost transparent magic circle that had my crest in the middle of it. That means that no mistakes were done during the previous phase. I waited for a few seconds before color began creeping through the circle like blood and in moments, it had turned cherry blossom pink. It had engraved itself in my blood.
Step 2: Complete
I began to activate equation after equation and witnessed as the numbers on the circle began to shift and change.
A fireball the size of a basketball appeared in front of the circle, making the temperature rise instantly, before it suddenly disappeared.
Position VIII: Luxord activated successfully.
I beckoned the symbol to release the spell. Mana that was stored began to gather once again before it dispersed in an instant.
Middle: Xemnas activated successfully.
Step 3: Complete
I felt no loss of mana as the previously mentioned symbol took the dispersed mana and began constructing the new spell I wanted. The numbers shifted once more as wind began to gather, but not in front of me.
Surrounding the dummy were now four magic circles, all similar to the one in my hand and spinning as wind began to be compressed into a blade.
Position XII: Xigbar activated successfully.
Position VII: Demyx activated successfully.
Step 4: Complete
I activated another two symbols and watched as the wind began to take on a golden hue.
I breathed deeply before opening my mouth and speaking the iconic line that, till now, still sent shivers down my spine.
"Dismantle."
I felt the effort needed to maintain the spell lessen and watched as the blades launched forward and cut the dummy into five perfectly severed pieces.
Position V: Saix activated successfully.
Position IV: Zexion activated successfully.
First spell: Success.
I did it...
I stumbled as the magic circle popped out of existence.
I almost fell but found myself being held up by Larxene, who, despite being a puppet, I could somehow tell was worried.
Looks like they have it programmed within them to worry for my health.
I righted myself with her help before looking at the dummy and smiling so widely my cheek hurt.
"I did it..."
And with that, I blacked out.
{A/N: Another info dump chapter with some progress. I went with a diary format here to reinforce the researcher persona. He won't be a mad scientist so don't worry.
Here are the reasons for why each symbol does what it does:
Xemnas: He uses the element of Nothingness so I thought it fit.
Xigbar: He uses space so yeah.
Xaldin: He uses wind so I chose to with forces since it's close.
Vexen: He was a mad scientist so things related to the human body fits.
Lexaeus: He uses earth and attacks with earthquakes so I thought it was ironic and went with barriers.
Zexion: His weapon is a book.
Saix: He uses the power of the moon so celestial bodies.
Axel: He uses fire so I went with something more complicated in heat.
Demyx: His weapon is a sort of guitar and he's playing it most of the time he appears.
Luxord: One of his abilities is to trap people in cards so I took inspiration from there.
Marluxia: He uses a scythe and his persona is all about flowers which I think is close to King from seven deadly sins who uses nature and a high damage weapon.
Larxene: Simple lightning is too generic and she fight using extreme speed so I went with body enhancement.
Roxas: He's a good and bad guy and uses keyblades called Oathkeeper and Oblivion which are opposite of each other.
The image of the crest is in the comments so you can check it out there.
The crest might look OP but he won't be able to use it to it's full potential anytime soon since he lacks the mana needed and still needs to improve it a lot.
That's all for this one. Hope you liked it and see y'all in the next one.}
