Several hours go by and Arthur slowly starts to open his eyes. "Ahh" he exclaims as he feels the pain from pushing himself earlier. He sits up and notices that there is a big carcass right next to him. "I saw something earlier, what was it again?" he asks himself but just says "Status" instead.
He looks through and sees the skill Butcher. He looks further into and notices that it's actually a useful skill for once and looks at the bear carcass. Instinctively, he knew where to cut and so he begins. As he dissects the carcass with clean and methodical cuts, his understanding of how to breakdown the carcass grows too.
Monsters within the rifts are fundamentally different to animals in the world. They do not work as predator and prey but they are all predators. That is simply because of mana cores. Each monster has a core and the quality of that core ranks that monster. Monsters fight each other to increase their power by taking each others mana cores from a fight to the death. Monsters have a natural affinity for growth from mana cores which if they get enough can create a new type of monster called a mutant.
Arthur stores the parts that he thinks are useable in the bag he had with him, he then walked up to Mia and sees all of the weak points all over her body.
Arthur gets out a wand like thing from the survival kit and places it on the ground right at the entrance of the cave and walks back in. The look on his face has changed. A new found motivation has been formed inside his fragile mind and on his damaged heart, but he understand that he cannot wane or falter any longer.
The world continues to change and EVO's continue to get stronger. "I can't fall behind any longer then i already have".
Arthur starts to train in using and understand his abilities. The only time he rests is when he sleeps, the rest of his time is training. As sweat pours and heavy breaths and movements continue, he perseveres.
13 days later....
Arthur looks different and the air he exudes is too. As he steps through the projection point, he leaves a single blade cut on the outer cave wall and several trees nearby in an instant.
Projection point is a powerful barrier which blends into it's surroundings.
Arthur cracks his neck and says "I can't stay here training forever". He brings out a sinister smile and says "Let's go hunting". As he disappears into thin air, leaving behind a black mist.
Arthur beings moving and practices as he goes because he wasn't able to practice movement inside of that cave. He stays in darkness and stumbles upon a pack of Wolven. He observes them and their movement but most of his focus is on the Alpha who is also just watching.
A predator and a hunting.
"It's too early to take them on" he thinks to himself and decides to leave them only, but after he leaves one of the Wolven that was below Arthur perks up it's nose to a smell.
Arthur travels for a bit and comes upon a lake where a Badger bear is drinking. "Learning to crawl before walking is crucial". Arthur thinks to himself as he looks around and senses that nobody is around. Arthur gets down from a tree he was up as he was travelling and walks towards the Badger bear.
The bear turns around as it notices him. It let's out a roar which enhances the chance of fear to awaken with it's target and it works.
Arthur's breathing gets heavy and heart rate increases but he just gets his blade out and focuses onto the Badger bear. His mind beings to calm and as the bear charges at him, the only thought is mind is to win. The bear attacks him with his right then left and it continues to swing.
Arthur just dodges and evades all attacks. Arthur takes a step back and just drops his blade into his shadow and as he does he waves at the bear. The bear continues to charge at him as Arthur does a two finger motion and..
THUD
The bear stops and let's out a little cry before falling to the ground. A gapping whole in it's chest is visible and it killed it instantly. After it falls, another bear is seen rushing towards Arthur and he doesn't move. The bear runs on all fours and leaps over the dead bears carcass and..
Zing Zing Zing Zing
As blades appears through the dead carcass and penetrates the other bear aswell leaving it stuck motionless in the air until the blades disappear and that body drops as well.
Arthur sits down on the ground as he gets tired from creating and using darkness. "That is more draining then i thought" he says to himself. Arthur hears something from behind him and quickly going into his darkness. As it gets closer, he hears a growl and several footsteps come from the direction he first came from.
After a minute or so a Wolven pack appear and slow move towards the Badger bear carcasses. They set a pincer movement on the Badger bear but the Alpha steps once and they approach normally. "There are so many of them". "Can I win?" "Will I survive?" he thinks to himself as flashes of his mothers face comes to him. "The reason I returned was to become stronger." "I will do it." "I have to do it." he says as the first Wolven walks up to the corpse alone and as it gets closer, it falls to the ground.
Moments later a heavy breathing Arthur appears but the Wolven is not dead. The cuts are shallow but Arthur doesn't stop. He uses darkness to increase his speed and creates a whip with his blood and he runs and jumps past the Wolven putting the whip around it's neck and body slams it near the pack where the alpha is. The other Wolven move out of the way and it confirms Arthur's suspicion.
The other Wolven gather around it and 3 rush towards him to attack but Arthur smiles like a demon saying
Die.
