Chapter 14: Takehiko (Karasuno) Volleyball Club [Part 1]
"We are the Service Club. Could you spare a moment to take a look?"
Kamiya Yu rested for a while, then started recruiting new students again. Before he could even hand out the flyer, the new student in front of him waved his hand and continued walking.
"Please take a look…"
"We are the Service Club. If you're interested, you can learn more."
Kamiya Yu and Hikigaya Hachiman continuously called out in the crowd, handing out flyers from time to time.

A figure appeared in the distance, running quickly towards them. His short orange hair bounced up and down with his movements.
"Thud!"
Kamiya Yu was knocked to the ground by the little guy in front of him. Fortunately, the mascot suit protected him, otherwise he would have been injured.
Hinata Shoyo opened his eyes, realized he had bumped into someone, and quickly stood up.

Hinata Shoyo kept repeating himself, his head nodding up and down at an extremely fast pace.

Kamiya Yu reacted, got up, and a faint voice came from inside the mascot suit.

"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Hinata Shoyo, a first-year student."
"You can just call me Shoyo, Senpai."
"Kamiya Yu, a second-year student."
Kamiya Yu spoke slowly, responding to Hinata Shoyo.
"Hello, Senpai. Kamiya-senpai, I'm looking for the Karasuno Volleyball Club. Can you tell me where it is?"
Kamiya Yu was a little surprised. After all, he had met two people today who were both asking for directions to the Volleyball Club. Is our school's Volleyball Club really that popular?
The Karasuno Volleyball Club is also the Soubu Volleyball Club. After Soubu High School and Karasuno High School merged the year before last, Karasuno High School's Volleyball Club took root here. Since Soubu High School never had a Volleyball Club, the name Karasuno Volleyball Club was retained.
Kamiya Yu repeated what he had told Kageyama Tobio earlier.

"Kamiya-senpai, why don't you take off your suit? I don't even know what you look like."
Hinata Shoyo's voice came from beside him, seemingly with a question.

"That's right, why am I wearing a mascot suit and walking in this hot weather? Isn't that foolish?"

The door opened, and a familiar figure appeared in Kamiya Yu's eyes—it was Kageyama Tobio, who had just asked him for directions.

"Kageyama Tobio!"

"Oh, it's that talented player from last year. Why is he here? He just simply didn't get into Shiratorizawa."
Kageyama Tobio said softly, merely stating a fact. Suddenly, he looked at the panda mascot.
"Senpai, why did you come over? Thank you so much for earlier."
"It's nothing, I just brought this confused junior along."
Just as Hinata Shoyo was about to explain something, three members of the Karasuno Volleyball Club, wearing black tracksuits with "Karasuno" written on them, entered through the doorway.
"Are there three new students this year?"
"Huh, why is one new student wearing a panda mascot suit?"
The burly Sawamura Daichi spoke, and the others beside him were also a little surprised, all exclaiming.
"New student, are you looking down on our Karasuno Volleyball Club by wearing that mascot suit?"
The speaker was a bald student with an exaggerated expression, named Tanaka Ryunosuke.
"No, no, I just brought someone over. I'm a second-year student."
Kamiya Yu shook his "chubby paw," explaining to them.
"Sorry," Sawamura Daichi pressed Ryunosuke beside him, bowing his head and apologizing.

While they were talking, Kageyama Tobio and Hinata Shoyo started confronting each other, the situation becoming tense.
Seeing the two getting closer and closer, Sawamura Daichi pulled them apart, grabbing one in each hand, and threw them out the door.
"Our Karasuno Volleyball Club doesn't need teammates who don't trust each other. You can come back when you've made up."
Sawamura Daichi closed the door tightly, ignoring their knocking from outside, and said to Kamiya Yu.
"Junior, since you're already here, you might as well try out volleyball. It will also allow us to make up for this guy's rudeness."
"Who was rude…"
Before Tanaka Ryunosuke could finish, Sugawara Koushi, who was beside him, pressed down on his head, apologizing repeatedly.

He took off the mascot suit, revealing clothes soaked with sweat, his muscles even more prominent beneath them.
Sawamura Daichi handed Kamiya Yu a volleyball and demonstrated a jump serve, then let Kamiya Yu try it himself.

Kamiya Yu threw the volleyball high. Just as the ball was about to fall to the ground, he mimicked Sawamura Daichi's movement and powerfully slammed it diagonally across the court.

The volleyball flew at an extremely high speed, cutting through the air with a loud whooshing sound. When the ball landed, a huge thud echoed through the training hall.
"That's amazing! I want to hit a volleyball that strong too."
Hinata Shoyo, holding onto the railing and looking inside through the glass, unconsciously opened his mouth wide.
"Kamiya, you're really strong! Do you work out often?" Sawamura Daichi reacted and asked him.
"Yes," Kamiya Yu nodded and said nothing more.
"Are you interested in joining the Volleyball Club, Kamiya-san?"
Sugawara Koushi quickly walked forward, grabbed Kamiya Yu's hands, and stared at Kamiya Yu with sparkling eyes.
"Sorry, I already have a club. And I don't have much energy to play volleyball."
"Alright, if you have time and want to play volleyball, you're welcome to come to the Volleyball Club."
Sugawara Koushi quickly changed the subject, making the conversation lighter.
Before they could exchange more words, Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio spoke simultaneously from outside the door.
"Senpai, I want to play volleyball with you."
"If it's Senpai, you'll definitely be able to receive the volleyball I set."
