Ha-eun couldn't forget Jisoo's words. Feelings I shouldn't have.

That night, the penthouse felt strangely warm. Jisoo wasn't in his usual study; instead, he sat on the couch, shirt sleeves rolled up, staring out at the city lights like they were old memories.
Ha-eun approached him quietly.
"You didn't eat dinner."
He looked at her, eyes softer than she had ever seen.
"I wasn't hungry."
"That's not healthy," she murmured.
Jisoo let out a breath—half frustration, half something else.
"Why do you care so much?"
"Because you're my husband," she said without thinking.
Silence.
Dangerous silence.
Jisoo stood and stepped closer, stopping just inches away.
"That's the problem," he whispered. "You say things that make me forget our marriage is just a contract."
Her heart hammered in her chest. "Is that all it is… for you?"
His gaze darkened, conflicted.
"It was supposed to be."
Before she could respond, the elevator chimed. Yura stormed in, eyes blazing.
"Jisoo! The board found out something—about her."
Ha-eun froze. "Me?"
Yura forced a cruel smile.
"Your sweet little wife forgot to mention she was once involved in a scandal. And now the press has it."
Jisoo's expression hardened instantly.
"What scandal?"
Ha-eun's breath caught. Her past—something she swore she'd buried forever—was resurfacing.
Jisoo turned toward her, voice low and sharp.
"Ha-eun… what are they talking about?"
Her hands trembled.
