Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 — Knowledge Carved Into My Bones

Weeks pass in the library, though time here is strange — fluid, obedient, and not entirely real. I lose track of the days, the hours, even sleep. Knowledge flows into me like a river, and I drink from it greedily.

I spend long, obsessive stretches mastering combat spells first:

Pure force blasts from the Marvel universe

Eldritch whips and shields

DC shadow constructs

Anime-style elemental magic: fire spears, ice barriers, lightning chains

Gravity manipulation techniques pulled from obscure multidimensional grimoires

Then defense:

A full-body mana barrier

A dimensional displacement charm that makes attacks pass through me

A regenerative spell adapted from Fire Emblem

Armor-boosting enchantments I can cast instantly

Then utility:

Cleaning, mending, warming, and light charms

Telekinesis

Teleportation micro-steps

An enhanced version of Accio that works on literally anything I tag magically

I even learn dangerous spells normally locked away in sealed sections:curse reversal, soul-binding, matter conversion, and even a weak form of reality editing.

Of course, I don't stop at spells.

Alchemy becomes almost meditative. I master:

Potions of strength, speed, awareness

Restoration elixirs

Transmutation circles

A portable philosopher's array

And a few explosive concoctions that would terrify even Edward Elric

And artifacts…Oh, artifacts.

With every page I turn, I learn more about constructing magical items from every universe: wands, staffs, grimoires, rings, amulets, cursed crowns, blades made from shadows, light, chaos, or soul energy. I absorb it all quickly — faster than any normal magician because I'm not normal.

My talent isn't a gift.It's a weapon.

Eventually, after what feels like a small eternity, I close my final book and breathe out, my mind glowing with newly forged power.

It's time.

I press my right hand tattoo again.Magic pulses.Reality parts.

The portal shimmers open with a soft hum.

"Back to Earth," I whisper, stepping through.

A moment later I'm standing once again on a world that has no idea what's about to hit it.Snow crunches under my feet, but this time my warming charms activate instantly, wrapping me in heat.

I inhale deeply.

I'm stronger than when I arrived.Far stronger.

And now…Now it's time to figure out which version of Earth this is —and what I'm going to do with it.
