He did not turn into iron or fire. His flesh fell off. His bones turned black. He became a walking skeleton wrapped in tattered rags.
He did not have an aura of power. He had an aura of Inevitability.
He walked toward the battlefield where the Sun and Moon were fighting over the last city.
Brave Sun saw him. "Filth! Burn!" Brave Sun threw a Solar Lance.
The fire hit Kuro. But fire needs fuel. Kuro touched the fire. "Your time is up," he whispered. The fire decayed. It turned into cold smoke and vanished.
Brave Sun was shocked. "What magic is this?"
"It is not magic," Kuro rasped (his voice was the sound of crumbling stone). "It is the Law. Everything ends. Even stars."
