Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Grand Memory Restoration Technique

Daniel sprinted away at full speed, leaving Matt standing alone in the middle of the corridor, facing a swarm of murderous ninjas.

This bastard.

Matt cursed inwardly and immediately dropped into a fighting stance.

But just as the hurried footsteps had disappeared around the corner, they suddenly came rushing back.

Daniel returned to Matt's side, face full of righteous determination. "Attorney Matt, I thought it over seriously. I really can't bring myself to abandon a comrade and escape alone. So I've decided to come back and fight alongside you!"

Matt said nothing.

Because in his perception, another wave of ninjas had emerged from around the corner and forced Daniel to retreat.

The ninjas on both ends of the corridor advanced step by step.

When only five meters remained between them, all the ninjas suddenly stopped in unison.

The crowd parted like a tide, revealing a stunning woman in a striking red ninja outfit. The slit on her uniform ran so high it nearly reached her waist, perfectly exposing a pair of long, toned legs.

Her cold gaze swept over Daniel and Matt. "Hand over the ledger, and I might consider letting you die with your bodies intact."

Matt's expression changed. "Your voice… it sounds just like my ex-girlfriend."

Female ninja: "…"

Daniel: "…"

Bushido my ass—this pickup line was ancient.

"What ledger? We've never seen anything like that!" Daniel denied instantly, dragging Matt down with him.

"In that case, you can both stay here forever."

With a cold snort, the woman lunged forward, twin sai flashing as she stabbed straight at Matt!

She didn't even know why she chose Matt as her first target—just that something deep inside her desperately wanted to beat him senseless.

"Elektra, so it really is you!"

Relying on his enhanced senses, Matt narrowly dodged. The distinctive weapons confirmed her identity beyond doubt.

Hearing that name, Elektra frowned slightly, as if something buried deep in her memory had been stirred.

She immediately attacked even harder.

Daniel shook his head. "Recognizing your ex is basically asking for death. The best kind of ex is a dead ex."

At the same time, the surrounding ninjas all swarmed toward Daniel.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Daniel fired decisively, blowing apart several ninjas' heads in an instant.

The remaining ninjas reacted quickly, tossing multiple smoke bombs to the floor. Thick smoke billowed through the corridor, engulfing everyone.

But the smoke didn't hinder the ninjas. Instead, it became their cover.

Melting into the smoke like specters, they crept toward Daniel, preparing to strike from concealment.

Just as one black-clad ninja silently reached Daniel's position, lifting a shuriken—

A gun barrel suddenly burst through the smoke and pressed against his forehead.

"Hey brother, need to buy some cheats?"

Bang!

The ninja dropped dead.

Daniel could see every ninja marked in red on his minimap.

Even if his vision was blocked, the minimap told him exactly where they were. These ninjas' careful movements only made them easier targets.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang—

Daniel stared at the red dots and unloaded into the smoke.

Every gunshot corresponded to the disappearance of a red dot. He wasn't even pretending to be fair.

By the time the smoke dissipated, corpses were scattered everywhere. The ninjas had probably spam-reported him from the afterlife.

Meanwhile, Matt was in a bitter struggle.

Because he recognized Elektra, his ex-girlfriend, he held back constantly, unable to attack freely. Elektra, on the other hand, showed no hesitation—every strike ruthless, every move aimed at a vital spot. Her groin-kick combo was being used like it had no cooldown.

"Elektra! It's me! I'm Matt!"

Sensing her lost sense of self, Matt called her name repeatedly between blocks and dodges, trying to awaken her memories.

"Matt?"

Elektra's movements faltered slightly. A deep frown tightened on her forehead as she struggled to recall something.

Seeing this, Matt brightened with hope. "Elektra! You finally remember?"

He instinctively relaxed and stepped closer—

Only to take a brutal groin kick straight to his vital point. His face instantly twisted into a mask of agony as he dropped to his knees.

A perfect example of never trust your ex.

On the side, Daniel nearly laughed out loud. "Attorney Matt, that's never going to work. Let me handle this."

Daniel holstered his golden Desert Eagle and walked toward Elektra slowly.

"Hey, do you remember who you are?"

Elektra didn't reply. Like a cold killing machine, she charged forward and thrust her twin sai at him.

Death God's Eye!

Time slowed. Daniel effortlessly avoided the strikes.

Then—

"Muay Thai warning!"

His elbow shot out like a cannon, smashing directly toward Elektra's beautiful but icy face.

Elektra's pupils tightened. Pure instinct forced her arms up to block.

Thud!

A heavy impact reverberated through the hall.

The force sent Elektra flying several meters, crashing hard to the floor.

But as a top-tier assassin, she quickly executed a kip-up to stand again.

However, her forearms—used to block—were already red and swollen. Half her face was visibly bruised. Rage flickered in her eyes.

Even without memories, some things in women are instinctive.

"You're dead!"

Like an enraged panther, Elektra rushed again, unleashing a fierce mid-air whip kick.

Daniel reacted instantly, raising his arm to block before grabbing her ankle and hurling her into the wall.

Boom!

The impact shook her entire body.

Before she could catch her breath, Daniel stormed in like a hurricane.

Elektra was fast, skilled, and deadly.

Unfortunately, she was fighting Daniel, a walking cheat code.

With Death God's Eye and Muay Thai Warning active, Daniel could overwhelm any enemy whose stats weren't completely absurd.

The fight ended quickly.

Under Daniel's relentless assault, Elektra was eventually struck by a powerful uppercut to the abdomen, knocking the breath out of her and dropping her to the floor, unable to continue.

Daniel stepped forward and grabbed her collar, lifting her upper body. "Well? Did that jog your memory?"

Elektra didn't respond—she only glared at him with murderous fury.

Thud!

Daniel punched her already swollen cheek without hesitation.

"Now? Remember anything yet?"

Elektra gritted her teeth and kept staring defiantly.

Thud!

Another punch.

"Hurry up and remember!"

"Aaahhh! I'm going to kill you!"

Thud!

"Remember now?"

"Fine! Fine! I remember! My name is Elektra! I remember everything!"

After who-knows-how-many punches, Elektra finally shouted her name.

In that moment, the chaotic fragments in her mind seemed to snap back together—her memories returning.

Matt stared, dumbfounded.

This wasn't memory restoration. This was forced confession by beating.
