"Mm."
Shichen nodded, and honestly said, "This is magic different from this world, called Spatial Control."
"Spatial Control…" Frieren muttered, understanding the magic just from its name.
"Magic different from this world, no wonder."
"Master, do you want to learn? I can teach you?" Shichen asked.
"I am indeed very interested." Frieren did not decline, smiling and nodding.
"Then without further ado…"
"Not so fast." Frieren interrupted Shichen, saying, "I want to see your flame ability."
"That… Master might not be able to block it," Shichen said hesitantly.
"What do you mean?"
"My flame can burn away Master's magic shield."
"That powerful? Then I definitely want to see it." Frieren became even more interested after hearing that.
"Ah?" Shichen was momentarily stunned.
"What do you mean 'ah'? You should be able to control that flame, right?" Frieren asked.
"Yes."
"Then isn't that fine? Do you still want to burn me?"
"You're right… Then Master, get ready."
"Come on."
Around Frieren, a hemispherical blue-white barrier appeared, enveloping her. The barrier was transparent and emitted a faint glow.
This was her barrier magic!
Seeing this, Shichen gently raised his hand, and a ball of golden flame began to condense in his palm. He did not hesitate, gently flicking the flame towards Frieren.
The flame seemed to have a mind of its own, suddenly accelerating in mid-air and instantly flying to Frieren's barrier.
Boom!
In an instant, the flame seemed to reignite, instantly spreading across the entire barrier, and the barrier shield also transformed into a hemisphere of flame.
There was no sound of the barrier breaking, nor any warning. Frieren's barrier shield instantly vanished, and around her, only golden flames formed a burning hemisphere, enveloping her.
Moreover, she found that she could no longer open a barrier.
Frieren, however, did not feel the heat of the flame. This was Shichen controlling the flame, having no ill intent towards her.
Frieren looked up at the golden flame covering her. The flame was full of sacredness and the breath of life.
This gave one a desire to touch it, but she knew that if she did, she might be burned to ashes.
"Alright, take it back," Frieren said to Shichen.
"Okay."
Shichen directed his palm towards the flame, and the flame obediently gathered into his palm, slowly disappearing as if burrowing into his hand.
"How magical, did you subdue this flame?" Frieren walked up to Shichen, staring curiously at his palm.
It was obvious that this flame was not a display related to magic; it was more like a unique ability, or even a special existence. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a flame spirit.
"No, it's something I borrowed," Shichen shook his head.
"Borrowed?" Frieren looked at him in confusion.
"Then I'll let Master see it." Shichen smiled, then waved to Frieren.
"Frieren, you come over too."
"What for?" Frieren slowly walked over.
"To show you something good." Shichen habitually rubbed her head.
"What does seeing something good have to do with touching my head?"
"Isn't it normal for a senior brother to pat his junior sister's head? It's a sign of a good relationship."
Frieren was expressionless: "…I almost believed you."
"Haha~ Don't mind it." Shichen rubbed her head two more times.
"You two, are your relations that good? It's been almost a hundred days since you last met, hasn't it?" Frieren looked at the two with a pleased smile.
"It's not that good; it's just that Shichen has no sense of personal space," Frieren replied calmly.
"That makes me sad. I took such good care of you before; have you forgotten already?"
"Forgotten after ninety-one days."
"Hehe~" Frieren laughed at this point, "Elves don't have a concrete concept of time. It's amazing you remember it so clearly; I don't even remember the exact number of days."
Frieren: "…"
"Exactly, you were clearly thinking of me, yet you're so contradictory," Shichen said with a beaming smile, looking at Frieren.
Frieren turned her head away and asked impatiently, "Are you going to show us what you were talking about or not?"
"Alright, alright."
Shichen smiled, withdrew his hand, stepped forward, and raised his hand to the sky.
His eyes turned crimson, a golden flame mark appeared on his forehead, and his arms were enveloped in golden flames.
Astonishing magic power erupted from his body, and a scorching aura spread out from him, sweeping the surroundings.
The air current seemed to explode instantly, rapidly rushing in all directions. However, miraculously, Frieren and Frieren were unaffected, only their hair being blown and fluttering.
Frieren watched with a calm expression, while Frieren's joy was evident on her face.
This magic power, this aura… Shichen could definitely defeat the Demon King and eliminate the Demon Race!
"Soar through the sky, Phoenix King!"
Accompanied by Shichen's loud shout, a massive surge of magic power shot out from his body, soaring straight into the sky.
A rainbow appeared in the sky, and immediately after, beneath the rainbow, a colossal colorful bird-beast materialized, spreading its wings and soaring.
"Roar!"
The colossal colorful bird let out a long cry, and behind it, as it flew, it actually left golden particles of light.
Frieren watched the giant bird in the sky in shock. Even from a distance, she could feel the oppressive aura from it.
This oppressive aura was actually no less than her Master's!
Perhaps she had thought too simply; Shichen could absolutely eliminate the Demon King and the Demon Race!
"What is it?" Frieren stared at the colossal colorful bird-beast for a while, then asked Shichen.
"It's called the Phoenix King, a mythical auspicious beast, the Phoenix."
"Myth? Phoenix?"
"It's okay if you don't understand; you just need to know that I've subdued it."
"Oh."
Shichen looked at the Phoenix King circling in the sky, smiling broadly and brightly.
Aside from that time he awakened it with Thor in the clouds, this was the first time he had formally summoned it. Its appearance was like a combination of a phoenix and a peacock, its feathers primarily golden and red, with yellow tail feathers, white feathers on its belly, and green feathers on the edges of its wings. Its neck had green stripes, its beak was yellow, its red eyes were surrounded by black rims, and it had a yellow crest on its head.
From head to toe, it was colorful. It was the Phoenix King!
Shichen had no idea at first that the familiar residing in the divine fragment was a legendary Pokémon. No wonder the Fourth Primogenitor's familiars weren't qualified to be his familiars.
Compared to them, the Fourth Primogenitor's familiars were a bit lacking.
"Is it called Phoenix King?" Frieren asked. She still looked up at it, her eyes reflecting colorful light.
"Yes, my flame ability comes from it."
"I see… It's formed by magic power, right? You subdued it?"
"Yes, as expected of Master, you easily saw its true nature."
"Then how does it exist within your body?" Frieren continued to ask.
"It exists in my blood in the form of magic power."
"In your blood? This must be your ability, then, right? How amazing." Frieren looked at Shichen's crimson eyes and exclaimed.
"Is Master interested?" Shichen blinked and asked.
"No, I just think it… is truly beautiful," Frieren couldn't help but look at the Phoenix King again.
"So Master likes beautiful things, no wonder you like magic that creates flower fields," Shichen lightly chuckled.
"Is that not allowed? I am a woman, after all."
"Of course, there's no problem. Magic isn't just for fighting and killing."
"You rascal." Frieren laughed, raising her hand to rub his head, treating him like a child, though a bit forcefully.
"Master, aren't you going to ask how I got these abilities?" Shichen asked curiously.
"Why would I ask that?" Frieren retorted.
"Alright, it seems I'm not interesting enough for Master yet."
"You brat, are you trying to tease me now?"
"How would I dare?"
"You're getting arrogant now that you have abilities, huh?" Frieren unceremoniously tapped his head. "I wouldn't dare! I wouldn't dare! Master, let's not talk about this anymore. I'll teach you Spatial Control instead." Shichen quickly ran behind Frieren to hide.
"Alright then." Frieren shook her head, laughing softly.
