Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 Fighting Will

That night, Shichen lay on the stone bed, his peripheral vision keeping watch on Serie A, who was still sitting on the stone seat, and finally couldn't help but laugh silently.

I have to say, it was truly enjoyable to provoke this arrogant old elf.

He used to think, through the screen, that if he could educate her, he would definitely treat her like a little brat and give her a good education.

There was no way around it; her expression was too annoying, and she maintained an arrogant, sneering face during class. It was hard for a normal person not to have the urge to educate her.

Although she indeed had the capital to be arrogant, he wasn't from this world and didn't have the fear one should have when facing the pinnacle of mages.

What's more, he didn't need to be afraid of her at all. No matter how strong a mage was, they wouldn't be effective in front of him.

The ability to be immune to magic allowed him to move freely and act as he pleased in this world.

However, he wasn't sure what the situation with this magic immunity was. Was it immunity to all phenomena produced or caused by magic, or could it only immunize against phenomena created out of nothing by magic?

Simply put, if he was by a river or on the ground, and magic caused the river or land to attack him, would his magic immunity be effective?

He personally thought it wouldn't be, but if the river water or land were created by magic, it would be hard to say. But there was no need to delve deeper; he would know after a fight with Serie A tomorrow.

He didn't think Serie A, if she knew magic was useless against him, wouldn't think of such an attack.

Shichen was definitely going to fight Serie A, not just for the Godhead Fragment, but more importantly, he had to teach this arrogant old elf a lesson.

Don't think that being almost invincible means you can be so arrogant.

One should be humble, and so should elves. It's fine to be like that to irrelevant or disagreeable people, but how can you have such an attitude towards your own people?

Although Shichen knew she had a sharp tongue but a soft heart, and was an old elf who said one thing but meant another, he still had to teach her a lesson.

He greatly respected Flamme. This old elf's attitude towards Flamme was a bit harsh, and even knowing she didn't mean it in her heart didn't make it right.

Flamme might not have thought much of it, perhaps she knew Serie A had a sharp tongue but a soft heart, but Shichen, as her disciple, still had to stand up for her.

The two of them were not related by blood; as for master's master and disciple's disciple, he didn't take it seriously at all.

The 'her' in his mind had already made him conquer Serie A, so it was clear she was just in need of education.

After another glance at Serie A, who seemed to still be sulking, Shichen's mouth curved upwards, he turned over, faced Frieren, and prepared to sleep.

Frieren had already fallen asleep. After so many days of travel, not only did she not enjoy the journey, but she was also a bit mentally exhausted. Even on a stone bed, she slept especially soundly.

Being carefree is truly wonderful.

With such a girl, being with her can purify the soul and bring ease. Just being in her company makes one feel relaxed. How could one not want to be close to her? How could one not like her?

If he couldn't attract her with excellence, then he could only let feelings develop over time, slowly making her dependent and unable to leave him.

Long-term companionship is the best confession, and Frieren was also isolated from the world.

Thinking of this, Shichen took one last look at Frieren's pale profile, smiled, closed his eyes, and quickly drifted into dreamland.

Serie A noticed that Shichen had fallen asleep just like that. She turned her head, looked at him, and remained expressionless.

He really dared to.

For the first time in her life, she was provoked like this by someone, even more arrogant than her.

Very good, this finally gave her the desire to teach a lesson.

What if his magic power was similar to hers? She had recorded all the magic in human history, how could she lose to a human?

Although she was surprised that a human could possess such vast magic power, it didn't matter anymore. Now, she just wanted to teach him a good lesson first.

Arrogance must have capital, and between a master's master and a disciple's disciple, there was an insurmountable chasm!

The next day, when Shichen opened his eyes, he found Frieren actually lying on the ground.

She's not well-behaved when she sleeps, and she knows no boundaries, huh?

Shichen couldn't help but laugh, and his sleepiness vanished. He sat up, swung his legs off the stone bed, and came to Frieren's side to pick her up and put her back on the stone bed.

"You're awake," Serie A's faint voice came.

Shichen turned and looked at Serie A, who was still arrogantly sitting on the stone seat, and nodded.

"Yes, Master's Master."

"Are you choosing magic now?"

"No rush, let's make some breakfast first. Frieren will be unhappy if she wakes up and there's nothing to eat."

"You're quite good to her," Serie A twitched her lips.

"Of course, she's my junior sister."

"...Then I'm your Master's Master."

"We're not familiar yet. I'll be good to you once we're familiar."

"Heh heh~" Serie A sneered again, "Very good, very good."

"I also think I'm very good," Shichen admitted with a smile.

"Master's Master, where's Master?" Shichen looked at the empty stone bed on the other side and asked curiously.

"She left long ago."

"Left? What for?"

"Who knows, maybe to reminisce," Serie A replied with a pout.

"Is that so? I see. Then I'll go find something to eat." Shichen turned and walked towards the exit.

"Wait a moment," Serie A called out to him.

"What is it?"

"Where are you going to find food?"

"Isn't there a forest nearby? I'll just find an animal."

"How long will you take? Do you need my help?"

"Is Master's Master so kind?"

"Heh~ I'm still waiting to fight you."

"Master's Master is really impatient." Shichen smiled and shook his head, "But don't worry, I'll be back soon."

"I don't remember teaching Flamme any magic for catching animals, and it's not easy to find them around here."

"Magic? No need at all, my hands will do."

"Your hands?" Serie A narrowed her eyes, staring at Shichen's hands, which were fair and slender but otherwise unremarkable.

"You wouldn't understand... Oh, do you want to come and see?"

"Me?" Serie A pointed at herself, looking at him strangely.

"Is there a problem? Can't you go out?"

"No... you're the first person who dared to talk to me like that." Serie A laughed, unusually normal.

"What's the big deal? Is there anything to be afraid of?" Shichen retorted carelessly.

"Hmph, only you would have such a thought, but you indeed have the right to have it." Serie A gave a proud cold snort, crossing her arms.

"So, coming along?" Shichen smiled as he looked at her.

"Very well, I'll go see what your hands are capable of." Serie A rose and walked towards him.

"Let's go."

"Wait a moment."

Serie A was about to lead the way out, but this time it was Shichen who called out to her.

"What?" Serie A turned her head, puzzled, to look at him.

"No need to walk," Shichen explained with a smile.

"No need to walk?"

"Yep, we can just go directly." Shichen reached out and placed his hand on Serie A's shoulder, raising an eyebrow at her proudly, then he and she vanished from where they stood.

"This is...!" Serie A's eyes widened, looking at the forest before her in disbelief.

In just an instant, the scene in her sight had changed from stone walls to trees. She even thought she was seeing things or hallucinating.

"How is it, Master's Master?" Shichen looked at her with a beaming smile.

"Is this your magic?" Serie A stared intently at him.

"What else? It can't be your magic, can it?"

"You... Can you be a bit more proper in your attitude?" Serie A took a deep breath.

"I'm not afraid of you."

...Forget it, what's with this magic of yours?" Serie A asked impatiently.

"This is space magic, not magic from this world," Shichen explained with a smile.

"Not magic from this world? What's going on?"

"It's simple, I'm not from this world."

"Not from this world...?"

Serie A quietly looked at Shichen, then burst into laughter: "Haha! No wonder, I was just thinking how a human like you could possess such vast magic power."

"You just believe it like that?" Shichen was a little surprised.

"When impossible things come together, then it's naturally true."

"As expected of Master's Master."

"I want to fight you even more now," Serie A's smile was rampant, her fighting spirit soaring.
