Chapter 1 - Love Under the Moonlight

There is a girl in our high school whom all students, without exception, call The Fallen Angel because of her immense beauty. (Added Description: Her white hair cascades like a shiny, silky waterfall over her shoulders, harmonizing with the porcelain whiteness of her skin). Her eyes resemble red diamonds; (Added Description: The sparkle in her eyes is breathtaking, as if they are two precious jewels illuminating her face), and she possesses all the qualities of the perfect girl. This girl is named Hikari Sato. (Added Description: Hikari possesses an aura of stillness and allure that makes everyone hesitate before approaching her, as if she were a captivating marble statue).

Many confessed to her, but she didn't accept any of them. Even I admire her. I want to confess, but when the heart speaks, the words disappear, (Added Description: and my tongue turns into a hard piece of wood in my throat). So, I hide my love for her, just like all the other students. It's not cowardice, but when she passes by, she waves her hand with that smile, (Added Description: a light smile that gently touches the edge of her lips, illuminating the entire hallway). She truly bewitches me, and to avoid losing that, I must stay this way.

Oh yes, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Yuto Tsubasa, a second-year high school student. My grades are average—I neither fail nor succeed with a high GPA, but I am good at sports. I love reading, but not just any books; I love books about martial arts, as well as love stories and fashion magazines. Well, don't blame me; all men love them—it's part of us.

I am currently in the library. (Added Description: The air here is heavy with the scent of old paper and light dust. The dim light filters in from the high windows, drawing slanted lines across the tall bookshelves), reading a book about martial arts. But while reading, I found a love letter hidden in the book, addressed to Hikari. It seems to be from an admirer. It's better to keep it in its place and continue reading.

Two hours later, well, since I finished this part, I have to return the book.

"Excuse me, have you finished reading the book?" That voice echoed in my ears. (Added Description: It was a delicate voice, flowing like calm musical notes). I looked at the speaker and found it was Hikari, so I was startled and fell off my chair.

"H-Hikari?"

She looked at me: (Added Description: with her diamond eyes holding a surprised and playful gaze). "I'm sorry, did I scare you?"

I quickly stood up: "No, no, I was just startled!"

"I apologize if I did that."

"It's okay. So, have you finished the book?"

I quickly said: "Yes, I finished it."

She smiled and asked inquisitively: "How much of the book did you finish?"

I replied: "I finished all of it."

"You finished all of it in one day? That's amazing! I've been reading it for three days, and I'm finishing the last part today."

"Then, good luck finishing it."

She thanked me and left. My God! How lucky am I! I spoke to the most beautiful girl in school, and it turns out we are reading the same book, which contains a love letter, and maybe she might think I wrote it to her! When I realized it, (Added Description: I felt a cold sting in my stomach, as if a tape of catastrophic thoughts had begun spinning in my head). I felt like shattering glass and that my school life was about to collapse.

I got up from my spot and walked slowly towards the library exit calmly until I left and closed the door. (Added Description: I took a deep breath outside, like someone leaving a confined room). Then, in a fraction of a second, I ran at full speed towards the third floor, where I sometimes notice her sitting around sunset. (Added Description: My heartbeats were violent and close together, like war drums announcing an imminent battle).

I rushed until I reached the classroom and opened the door, exhausted. But when I arrived, I found the letter I didn't write in her hand, and she was looking at me.

"So, you are the one who wrote this letter, aren't you?"

I said nervously: "Yes. But how did you find it so quickly?"

"It just so happened that I was reading from where I stopped, and I found it."

When I heard that, I knew my luck had abandoned me. (Added Description: I felt a chill spreading through my body, and the words stopped in my throat again). She held the letter and said: "Well, I haven't read the letter, but I want to hear it from you."

At that moment, I wanted to say that the letter wasn't mine and that I found it in the book, but these were all lame excuses. I genuinely love her and want to confess, and I think this is a suitable opportunity. So, I clung to my courage, unconcerned with what would happen next.

"Hikari, I... I..."

"Come on, don't be a coward after gathering your courage."

"I have loved you since the first moment I saw you on the first day of school. I have loved you for a very long time. Will you go out with me?"

I said those words suspended between hope and loss, until she said: "You have loved me for a long time? Then, why do you love me? Excuse me, I said: why do you love me? Is it because of my beautiful appearance, or is there something else?"

I replied: "That's one of the reasons, but there is another."

"And what is it?"

"That my heart has chosen you and sees no one but you."

Then she turned and stood in front of the window, placing her hands behind her back. "So it is my appearance. Your heart was impressed by the same thing."

I quickly said: "No! Maybe I can't describe what's in my heart well, but I'm sure the reason is different."

"Then, let's find out... Ah, I mean, if I change my face and body, we will know if you love me for my beauty or for something else."

At the window, the moon was full. (Added Description: The cold, silvery moonlight flooded the room, transforming the shadows into vague shapes). Its light shone on Hikari's face, and her face and body changed. (Added Description: Her white hair turned into deep black strands, and sharp fangs appeared in her mouth. Her captivating features were distorted to become a mixture of terrifying beauty and dark savagery), and she became a frightening vampire.

Those eyes that resembled diamonds glistened in the dark room (Added Description: in a deep crimson, burning like two embers beneath her eyelids), and she became terrifying. Wings and claws appeared. Her appearance was truly frightening.

In a calm voice: "What do you think now? Do I still appeal to you? If so, let me drink your blood."

In truth, I was scared. (Added Description: My heart was violently trembling inside my chest, and I felt a strong desire to run away). The girl known as the most beautiful girl in school is a vampire with a terrifying face trying to suck my blood. I took a step back, and she advanced, but I don't know what suddenly came over me; I froze in place and started advancing forward, as if my heart wanted to bet on it.

"I still love you just the way you are! No matter how much you change, and no matter what you show me, I still love you, Hikari."

She came closer to me, specifically towards my neck. Then, she suddenly backed away and returned to her natural state, smiling: "I understand. So, your heart truly loves me for another reason."

I looked at her and said: "So, you won't suck my blood or anything?"

She said: "Actually, I never suck the blood of any student; I have my alternatives. But I used to erase the memory of everyone who came and confessed to me after seeing my true form and running away. That's all."

"Now, regarding your confession, I accept."

I looked, disbelieving: "What did you just say?"

"I said I agree to go out with you. But there is one thing."

"What is it?"

"I don't know my boyfriend's name yet."

"I am Yuto Tsubasa."

She tilted her head: "Yuto. Alright, I've memorized it. Please take care of me from now on, Yuto."
