Mira took the book and sat in a cozy armchair that hadn't been there a moment ago. As she turned the pages, words appeared in real time—her thoughts, her dreams, her fears—writing themselves.
The cat leapt onto the armrest. "Careful," it said. "Once you start writing your story, the world around you may begin to change."
Mira hesitated, then wrote one sentence on a blank page:
"I want to find my courage."
The book shimmered. A door appeared at the far wall, carved with swirling stars.
Mira stood, heart thumping, and opened it.
Behind it was her school, but... different. People walked backward. The clock ticked in reverse. Her classmates whispered riddles instead of answers. And somewhere in the maze of strangeness, a glowing thread lay on the floor, pulsing faintly—a path.
She followed it, knowing this was the beginning of something deeper. Something real.
And the library? It vanished behind her… waiting to return when the next person needed it.
