Michael's POV
I stalked across my living room like a caged animal, my body burning with need and my mind spinning out of control. Every muscle in my frame was taut with desire, my arousal straining against my pants as I fought the overwhelming urge to claim her completely.
Allyson had just revealed she was untouched, then immediately denied it. The contradiction was eating at me, making it impossible to think straight.
Virgin or not, touching her felt like crossing a forbidden line. I had never taken an innocent woman before, and the thought of being her first terrified me as much as it inflamed me. Yet knowing she might be pure only made my hunger for her burn hotter, which twisted my gut with guilt.
This whole situation reeked of manipulation. I was using her heartbreak for my own selfish desires, no better than the bastard who had betrayed her trust.
What did that make me? Just another predator feeding on her pain.
