Chapter 317: At This Moment, the Mangekyo Is No Longer a Mystery

Kenichi frowned slightly.
The Mangekyo Sharingan was the most variable of all ocular powers, and that was precisely what made it such a headache. The abilities it awakened were often bizarre and impossible to predict.
Still, the parasite's connection remained stable, and Kenichi could still control it normally. At the very least, that meant there should not be any immediate problem.
"Make him use the ocular powers of both eyes," Kenichi instructed.
Uchiha Shiori immediately relayed the order. After a brief struggle, Yasuo obediently activated his eye techniques.
Kenichi finally saw what abilities he had awakened.
Amaterasu, the black flames that burn everything.
And another ability that resembled telekinesis. Yasuo used it to lift a surgical knife from a distance with astonishing speed.
"The first ability is understandable. It was probably influenced by the parasite. But what is the second one?" Kenichi found himself genuinely curious.
The Mangekyo was supposed to awaken abilities according to the strongest desire in the user's heart at the time of awakening. Yet Yasuo had awakened something like this, which really was difficult to explain.
Then Kenichi thought of another possibility.
"Could it be that because he was bound down and unable to move, what he wanted most was to attack me from a distance, so he awakened an ability like this?"
At that moment, Kenichi also noticed blood flowing from Yasuo's eyes. He looked to be in considerable pain, and his aura had become significantly weaker.

"Master, the parasite eggs I currently have are enough to make half the capital's population into hosts~" Fuuka Koyuki smiled happily, lightly biting her lower lip as her eyes shimmered.
"Can all those parasitized people become ninja?" Kenichi asked.
He knew exactly what Koyuki's expression meant, but he couldn't bring himself to respond to it, so he simply pretended not to notice.
Koyuki shot him a resentful look, but she still answered honestly. The hierarchy of the insect race was extremely strict.
"Not necessarily. Even if they can sense and refine chakra, some people simply have poor talent. No matter what you do, they can never become ninja," Koyuki said, shaking her head. Human aptitude varied too much. Some people truly were unsuited to becoming ninja.
