CHAPTER 4: The Prototype Cure for Aurora
Narrator:
As Saint Nick spoke Father Time gave a hug to his friend and said goodbye then left back to his castle. For the next few hours on December 26th, 1971 Saint Nick kept on thinking back on everything that had happened in the last 36 hours, the more he kept thinking deeply, the more he realized, indeed he would have pay more attention on what was going on in the outside world, he also realized that he needed to visit his son again because several months had already passed since he last visited his last surviving son. Father Time was observing one of his trillions of crystal balls, however when he saw the North Pole's Elven Science Team creating a prototype of the piece of technology that was needed for something, he had forgotten thousands of years earlier. Magnificus begun to search every corner even every hidden room of his castle, when he came across the magical stone chamber in which he had placed his friend's Elven centaurean daughter Laura Aurora Quanticum Imperius in order to save her life from a deadly heart disease for which there wasn't any cure back then, he deeply regretted having to lie to his friend, but he was left didn't have a choice despite having to pay a guilt that was meant to be.
Magnificus:
"So, the moment to wake you up Aurora has nearly arrived, if your father Nicolas knew that you are destined to marry his Santa Claus replacement, he would be both happy and angry at the same time."
Narrator:
As Magnificus spoke what he was thinking when he saw his friend's daughter again, he sighed, he also began to imagine Saint Nick's reaction of the discovery that one of his daughters whom he thought dead, in reality had been alive all these years, Magnificus began to magically check Aurora's health and when he noticed that one of his worst fears had actually come to pass, he immediately teleported to the science lab of the North Pole's Science Division sector in which the technology necessary to cure Aurora was being developed.
Magnificus:
"Hello, I apologize for my short notice arrival, but the equipment you are currently developing is extremely necessary to save someone's life, right now I can't say whose life I need to say, all I can tell you is that it's related to someone who everyone cared so much about centuries ago, and she used to be the leader of The Elven Centaur Knights North Pole's Military Division."
Head of the 300th LAB of The North Pole's Medical Research Scientific Technology Division:
"Father Time it's both a surprise and a pleasure to have your honorary visit, I am glad to hear that our technology can be used for that purpose, but as you can see right now we only have the prototype of this new project that we are making, the only working prototype to be exact, and we are currently testing how much magical energy can it handle before we move on to the next stage of the first phase of the project."
Magnificus:
"May I help you test the prototype, because if this prototype can withstand as much magical energy as I need it to do, then, I will need you to create a second copy of the same prototype of your device in order to delay the progress of a certain heart disease, please allow me to help you in this test because time is of the essence, there is not a second to waste."
Head of the 300th LAB of The North Pole's Medical Research Scientific Technology Division (A beautiful 5 meters tall busty female half elf, half cyclops with glasses, wearing a white lab coat, pointy ears, and 4 meters long blonde hair):
"Very well, come with me."
Narrator:
Magnificus followed the head elf, and begun testing the new prototype himself, however, he didn't expect it to explode when he unleashed all of his magical energy. One of the elven scientists said to Magnificus that such explosion was to be expected because they had not designed the prototype to withstand such a massive flow of energy, despite that it was able to withstand that massive magical flow for several days. Magnificus asked them if they could make another exact copy of the device and the medical science team said yes, but they needed more material to make 2 copies of the device in order to begin the next testing cycle.
Magnificus:
"Very well, just give the list of all the necessary materials that I need to gather, due to the fact that it's fair enough since I was the one who destroyed the prototype."
Narrator:
The medical Research Scientific Technology Division team of the 300th lab gave Magnificus the list of materials they needed, Magnificus teleported across the world as fast as he possibly could, he began gathering everything, and once he was finished, he returned to the lab. The elves who were in charge of collecting all the materials thanked Magnificus for collecting the materials for them, 12 hours later on the 22nd of January 1973 at exactly 1:25 in the afternoon, the medical Research Scientific Technology Division team informed Magnificus that his copy of the prototype was ready, shortly after he thanked them, he grabbed the prototype and teleported back to his castle to where Aurora was. Magnificus Began to activate the prototype right in front of his Crystal balls, then he went to bring Aurora into the prototype device so that she could begin her recovery, he slowly began channeling his magic into the device after closing it. A few years later, by February 14th 1985 Aurora began to show signs of recovery, Magnificus performed his weekly magical scan on her to check on her health, despite the slow signs of recovery that she was showing every year, it still wasn't enough, however, when he checked his crystal ball that showed him what the medical Research Scientific Technology Division team was doing, it showed him that they were close to completing the final version of a fully operational device, according to what he saw they were on the first test of the last stage of the final testing phase. Magnificus left immediately to the 300th LAB of the Medical Research Scientific Technology Division to help the elven medical research team with the testing of the new version of the device.
Magnificus:
"Is there any way I can assist all of you? and I do apologize for the intrusion, but due to the urgent matter at hand, I need to help you as much as possible because the situation despite slowing down and regressing, it continues to worsen, I have someone in a magically induced coma. For now, all I can say is just like I've said before the person whose life I am trying to say is someone very important to my friend, as well as to many of you and to me."
Head of the 300th LAB of The North Pole's Medical Research Scientific Technology Division:
"Ok, but if you need a copy of this new version of the prototype, you will have to inform Saint Nicholas about a larger investment in this project, and just like you said a few years back, the person you are trying to save is someone important, based on the hints you gave us back then, I figured out who you were speaking of, and indeed you must tell him the truth and reveal that secret."
Magnificus:
"So, you figured it out, and I don't have to hide it anymore, the fact that Aurora is Alive."
Saint Nick:
"ANGEL OF DEATH GET OVER HERE THIS INSTANT!!!!!!!! AND I MEAN NOW!!!!!"
Narrator:
After Saint Nicolas saw the sudden appearance of his friend to the medical technology sub-division lab, he continued to observe what was going on through his giant crystal ball in his private office, after he heard that his best friend had lied to him about the death of one his daughters he got furious, he knew based on what one of his elves informed him that Magnificus was trying to save someone's life and because of this he had decided to increase the funding for that department, if he would have known sooner about this fact he would have given this project extreme priority, especially because his daughter's life was on the line, he was outraged because his friend had lied to him, but at the same time discovering that one of his daughters was still alive made him happy that his friend had tried all he could to save his daughter, because if he would have had to live without knowing if his daughter lived or died every day for several thousands of years, that burden alone would have devastated him, so for this reason he forgave his friend and summoned the Angel Of Death to verify what he had just found out.
Angel of Death (An 100,000 old man with skeleton hands and a scythe, wearing a black hooded robe, with the body of a 1.7 meters tall muscular teenager):
"Hi, I'm sorry for not showing up the moment you called but I was finishing a job and to what do I owe the honor of being summoned by you?"
Saint Nick:
"Is it true that my daughter Laura Aurora Quanticum Imperius is still alive?!"
Angel of Death:
"She never appeared on any of my list of beings that I need to pick up and guide into their final judgement, so I am afraid to inform you that she is still alive but on my current list her name is glowing in pink every few minutes."
Saint Nick:
"What do you mean by glowing in pink every few minutes?"
Angel of Death:
"What I mean is that depending on what happens over the next 5 years if she will become a last-minute addition to my list and die within the next 20 years or if she will continue to live and die when she was originally meant to die."
Saint Nick:
"Thank you very much for your information, and that is all for today."
Angel of Death:
"Anytime Your Honor."
