Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Can You Teach Me Hidden Leaf Ninjutsu?

"You're from the Uchiha clan, Kiyoshi. Haven't you learned any ninjutsu?" Rin Nohara asked curiously.

Even though Kiyoshi was from the Land of Lightning, his last name was Uchiha.

The Uchiha are a major ninja clan in the village, and they solely manage the Hidden Leaf Military Police Force. It was no exaggeration to call them the Hidden Leaf Village's nobility!

"Even in the Uchiha clan, you can't just learn ninjutsu whenever you want."

Obito, seeing that Rin came over to talk to Kiyoshi right after class, immediately rushed over.

"To prevent clan members from misusing ninjutsu or being too ambitious, all of this requires approval from the seniors in charge of management in the clan," Obito explained eloquently.

If it weren't for this, wouldn't everyone just choose the most powerful ninjutsu right away?

"I see, that makes sense."

Rin Nohara nodded, her short hair swaying, with a few black strands resting on the purple markings on the sides of her face.

She was born a civilian child and didn't know much about these clan matters.

"So, Rin Nohara, could you teach me then?" Kiyoshi asked, his dark eyes fixed on Rin Nohara.

Her appearance was reflected in his pupils. Since it was late autumn, her clothing was notably thicker.

Rin Nohara had a valuable purpose, asking her for guidance would allow him to grow stronger faster.

Rin Nohara was a medical prodigy, which could be seen from the fact that she, a Chunin, could already use the Mystical Palm Technique.

What level of ninjutsu is the Mystical Palm Technique?

The answer is A-rank!

This is already second only to S-rank ninjutsu in difficulty to learn, and medical ninjutsu is often harder to learn than general ninjutsu.

This is because it requires an even greater focus on the subtle control ability of chakra, being off by a hair's breadth can lead to failure.

This demonstrates Rin Nohara's innate talent in this area, and an A-rank jutsu like the Mystical Palm Technique is not something easily acquired.

Tsunade suggested incorporating medical ninjas into mission squads and proposed establishing a training system for medical ninjas during the Second Great War.

It had only been a few years since the Second Great Ninja War ended, and many of these systems were still being refined.

It must be that Rin Nohara's talent caught the attention of the Hidden Leaf's Medical Corps, allowing her to be taught an A-rank medical ninjutsu so quickly.

If not for her premature death, she might have become as famous a medical ninja as Tsunade or Sakura in the future.

"Hmm, yes, I can."

Rin Nohara thought for a moment and agreed.

"But in the academy, only some E-rank ninjutsu are taught, and that's all I can teach you."

"Then I'll leave it to you, Rin Nohara," Kiyoshi smiled slightly. "You are truly a great help."

"It's no problem at all, we're classmates," Rin Nohara shook her head.

Obito, on the other hand, felt a bit like he had shot himself in the foot.

He shouldn't have told Rin any of that!

"Rin, train me quickly too."

Obito asked Rin, not wanting her to teach only Kiyoshi.

Unfortunately, the school bell had rung, and Obito could only return to his seat first.

Looking at the dense handwriting on the blackboard, Obito spun his pen between his fingers, zoning out.

"Hehe, once Rin gives me special training, I'll definitely give that show-off Kakashi something to look at."

Obito fell into a wonderful fantasy, glancing at Kakashi or Rin Nohara from time to time.

Kiyoshi, meanwhile, continued to read.

This knowledge was basic, but also precious.

In the Uchiha clan, he was still an "outsider."

Whether they would send someone to guide him, and to what extent that guidance would go, were unknowns.

Kiyoshi couldn't rely on luck, fantasizing that the Uchiha clan would send a powerful figure to give him private lessons.

He was very clear about his current identity: an adopted, mixed-blood Uchiha.

The attention he was receiving was purely out of fear that there might be other cases like Kiyoshi.

Furthermore, because he only had one awakened Sharingan, others might see Kiyoshi as a "foreign trash" from the Land of Lightning.

Kiyoshi did not just randomly pick Rin Nohara to talk to.

There was another genius in the class, Kakashi Hatake.

Kiyoshi glanced forward, where a boy with white spiky hair and a black face mask was sitting.

But Kakashi would not be as easy to talk to as Rin.

The death of the White Fang of the Leaf was approaching quickly. This would drastically change Kakashi's personality, making him cold and apathetic, leading him to apply for early graduation.

The tool-like aspect of a ninja would be displayed on Kakashi in full force.

After a brief reflection, Kiyoshi continued his studies.

Regardless, improving his personal strength was the right path.

Soon, the day passed.

Kiyoshi had initially adapted to life here.

The content taught at the Ninja Academy can be roughly divided into five sections:

Theory, Training, History, Experience, and Practice.

In general, Theory teaches ninjutsu, hand signs, and some basic physics and math. Training involves physical conditioning for students and some basic taijutsu. History is about learning about the Hidden Leaf Village and the prominent figures in the Ninja World.

Experience covers ninja knowledge, such as scouting, assassination, codes, espionage, stealth, etc., and female ninjas receive specific training for kunoichi. Finally, Practice involves spar-fighting between students.

However, one crucial point was missing.

That was ideology and morality.

The Ninja Academy's ultimate goal is to produce ninjas, and it does not seek to enlighten the students' minds on philosophy.

The most superficial example of this is the Daimyo.

In a world where individual power is enough to destroy the heavens and earth, the ninja world is still ruled by ordinary people.

Even in Boruto, Naruto, as the Seventh Hokage, is still constrained by the Daimyo, and he can only silently accept it even when the Hidden Leaf Village's budget is cut.

"Thinking about these things is still too far off."

Looking at the empty classroom, where he was the only one left, Kiyoshi opened the translucent Trait Panel.

Through his testing, no one but him could see the Trait Panel.

Today, due to his arrival, most of the classes covered history and culture.

[Trait : Reading Absorption (White).]

[Achievement Requirement: Read 10 articles and complete detailed notes.]

[Progress: 50%.]

[Effect: Your speed of absorbing textual information is slightly increased, and content comprehension is 10% faster than ordinary people.]

[Note: Can be upgraded later.]

Kiyoshi looked at the second Trait .

[Trait : Basic Memory (White).]

[Achievement Requirement: Recite 5 selected historical biographies of figures in the Ninja World.]

[Progress: 40%.]

[Effect: Your short-term memory ability is slightly improved. You can memorize words and phrases faster, and memory efficiency is increased by 5% compared to ordinary people.]

[Note: Can be upgraded later.]

"Learning the cultural courses should be a lot easier now," Kiyoshi thought to himself.

This was just the beginning. White must be the lowest quality, the easiest Trait to obtain.

All the Trait s he had received so far were marked with the words "Can be upgraded later," suggesting they could be advanced once he met certain conditions.

[Basic Memory] and [Reading Absorption] were exactly what Kiyoshi needed. To become a medical ninja, he would have to memorize a large amount of medical knowledge.

"Kiyoshi."

Kiyoshi closed the panel, gathered his things, and prepared to leave his seat when a voice came from the doorway.

"Why haven't you left yet?"

Rin Nohara peeked her small head out from the doorway, her eyes full of confusion as she looked at Kiyoshi.
