The Citadel was quiet the next morning, but Liora could feel the tension lingering like a shadow in her chest. The previous night's battle had left her exhausted, yet restless.
Kael led her to a new chamber. Its walls were made entirely of translucent glass, etched with lines that glowed faintly.
"These are the Glass Archives," he explained. "Everything that has ever been touched by the Glassless, and everything that has ever been hidden from you, is here. You must learn to see it."
Liora stepped forward, placing her hand against the smooth surface. Images flickered: people she didn't recognize, moments she didn't remember, and most disturbingly, a young girl trapped inside a cube of light — screaming silently.
"Who is she?" Liora whispered.
Kael's gaze was heavy. "That… was someone you once knew. And someone the Glassless took from you. They've been waiting for you to wake. Your memories are part of their map."
The whisper in her mind hissed: She waits… they wait… you will bring her back.
Liora felt a surge of anger and fear. "I will find her. I'll destroy them."
Kael nodded. "And you will. But first, you must understand what the Glassless really are."
He moved to a corner, and from the shadows, a small creature emerged. Not a Glassling, not like the ones she had fought before, but a larger, fluid shadow with eyes like black diamonds.
"They are fragments of broken possibilities," Kael said. "Lost dreams, lost lives, and every fear that was never faced. They have no bodies, only desire. And some of them remember you."
Liora shivered. "Some remember me?"
Kael's fractured eyes met hers. "You left a mark the night you sealed your Sight. And now, they want it back — all of it."
