Sasaki had always been a member of the Alberich family by blood.
He and all the other family members were blood descendants of the fourth Meditation Master, Sashiro Alberich.
In the past, he was the one who had implemented all the associations and helped the third one make new laws and policies.
He had both brain and brawn. This was also why he was voted to be their leader in the Dystopian War.
In the past, he was a Dual-Pathway Aura user of the Weapon and the Justice Pathway.
But due to some reasons, he had to give up on this idea and stop going further in the Justice Pathway.
But the time he spent cultivating was enough for him to make so many good laws and implement them efficiently.
Sashiro Alberich was also known as the Strongest Swordsman of the universe and had great talent and innate luck.
Among the first nine legendary Meditation Masters, his reputation can only be matched by the first, second, and third Meditation Masters.
It was not that the other Meditation Masters were incompetent, but that by the time they took the role, Lumenia had already set up its foundations, and their doings and feats were overshadowed by the work of the first four Meditation Masters.
But their deeds and contributions are still taught to kids in schools and encourage them to learn values like determination, perseverance, and willpower from them.
The royal family that Sashiro Alberich had established in Lumenia was the Alberich Family.
Now, after all these years, Sasaki was born as the fourth one.
His mother was a Supernova of the Alberich Family and one of the many kids of Kurtain Alberich, the head of the Alberich Family.
She had gone to Earth and got married there and had Sasaki, but it was too bad that after finding the truth about her, her husband decided to leave her.
Heartbroken, she returned to Lumenia and entrusted Sasaki to her friends. After her death, Sasaki awakened as an Aura user at four years of age and was noticed by Albert Blackbell, who quickly adopted him.
Kurtain Alberich was the grandfather of Sasaki and greatly loved his daughter. He was heartbroken by the fact that his beloved daughter didn't even come to see him before her death.
He even invited Albert to discuss letting Kurtain get Sasaki back into the family.
On one hand, he was regretful and wanted to redeem any mistakes he made by raising and supporting Sasaki.
On the other hand, Sasaki belonged to the Alberich Family; it was not good for their reputation to be letting another family adopt a member of their family. But Albert refused.
Kurtain was naturally angry, but he didn't dare break out in anger and start to fight.
Albert himself was a very strong opponent with high battle strength, but he wasn't afraid of losing. What he was afraid of was Alexander, who was backing up Albert.
The Blackbells had the Meditation Master in the current generation, and every family had felt their suppression many times.
He was indignant, but considering the situation for his royal family, he smiled and agreed to an agreement that he would not interact with Sasaki, but Sasaki was allowed to keep his Alberich surname.
Kurtain kept a close eye on Sasaki all through the years and saw how suicidal he was and how he went on dangerous missions all by himself.
Every day, he was filled with regret and the desire to talk to his grandson.
This was also the reason why he had aged so much; he used to look like a middle-aged man, but now his hair had turned white, and his eyes had lost their shine long ago.
The salt on his wounds came when it was finally found out by others that Sasaki was the fourth one.
This made Kurtain even angrier and even more regretful.
"So this is what regret feels like?"
He had not intended to come to this wedding, but a few months ago, Sasaki had come to him personally and called him "Grandpa," personally inviting him to come to his wedding.
Kurtain felt a lot of emotions at that time and finally decided to agree.
His other kids and grandkids weren't happy about this because they thought that their inheritance might get even more divided, going mostly to Sasaki.
Even though Sasaki wasn't an official member of the Alberich Family, he was still tied to them by blood, and according to Lumenian laws, he had all the rights to fight for the inheritance. Considering his strength, talent, charisma, and reputation, on top of there being no Supernova among Kurtain's other kids,
Sasaki might just become the family head of two of the strongest royal families!
This had never happened in history, but Sasaki might be able to achieve this.
His kids had seen how Kurtain was always soft, happy, and excited when talking to Sasaki. They couldn't help but feel threatened.
Kurtain slowly looked up at Sasaki, his cold eyes turning warm as a small smile appeared on his face as he saw Sasaki in his human form, looking at him with a slight smile.
"You have finally got some backbone, dear grandson," Kurtain transmitted to Sasaki through Meditation Aura with pride in his voice.
He could vaguely see his younger self in Sasaki; he also used to look just like him. Even his daughter's figure flashed in place of Sasaki for a moment.
His eyes teared up for a moment before he composed himself.
"I have truly gotten old, getting so emotional this easily," Kurtain thought to himself in a self-deprecating manner.
He slowly walked up the white stairs and stood in front of Sasaki. Sasaki was much taller than Kurtain, whose back had become hunched after all these years.
They exchanged greetings slowly according to their own customs as Kurtain brought out a charm that contained a huge amount of materials for the Weapon Pathway that were suitable for Sasaki's primary Aura,
and another charm with the rights of two large resource points, which create a large amount of Weapon Pathway resources each year.
He said as he handed them to Sasaki,
"Here, take these. I hope they will help you become stronger and shine brighter."
"Thank you for this gift, Grandpa."
The grandson and grandfather looked at each other for a few seconds, then Sasaki understood his grandfather's intention as he realized the intention of his grandfather.
He spoke slowly as he transmitted to Kurtain.
If any of Sasaki's cousins or uncles had heard this, they would have turned red as tomatoes.
"Ok then, I will consider becoming the family head of the Alberich Family."
Kurtain nodded at Sasaki's decision as he walked past him and entered the hall, as three Hypernovas, who were his kids, came to greet him and take him to his room.
Some of them looked at Sasaki.
Looking at them, Sasaki's smile only widened.
