Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 Observations at the Coffee Shop

Although ordinary people cannot see Jujutsu and Cursed Spirits, if they were to become aware of these abnormal existences, it would inevitably cause chaos.

This 'sense of the unknown' is the most potent emotional engine for generating negative energy, so Jujutsu Sorcerers must avoid letting ordinary people know about the Jujutsu World as much as possible. This is the most basic common sense for a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

Of course, sometimes it's truly unavoidable for ordinary people to find out. In such cases, don't panic. After controlling these individuals, report to the higher-ups in the Jujutsu World. The higher-ups will dispatch a special team to provide them with ideological education and have them sign non-disclosure agreements.

In this coffee shop, Chinatsu and Gojo Satoru weren't actually very familiar with most of their colleagues, as their part-time work here was quite inconsistent; sometimes they wouldn't even come in once a week.

How could one build quality relationships under such circumstances? However, while they weren't close, it wasn't bad either; maintaining a minimum level of good relations was easy to achieve.

As these ordinary employees, unaware of the Jujutsu World's existence, entered the break room, Chinatsu and Gojo Satoru both looked up and greeted everyone.

Normally, everyone would go through the motions and then return to a quiet state, but this time seemed a little different.

"Chinatsu, are you interested in becoming an idol?!" The young girls, mustering their courage, all asked Chinatsu in unison.

"Ah?"

Hearing this, Chinatsu was stunned on the spot, wondering how the topic suddenly "whoosh!" flew over to idols.

They then explained the situation to Chinatsu. It turned out that an idol agency was distributing flyers in Akihabara to promote their idol trainee program.

Looking at these idol-themed promotional posters, their inner idol dreams were awakened. However, they were still a bit scared to go alone, so they thought of bringing Chinatsu along, hoping to use Chinatsu, this 'great Buddha,' to bolster their courage.

"Oh, this..."

After hearing their explanation, Chinatsu couldn't help but lower her head, reaching out a hand to lightly press her forehead.

At the same time, Gojo Satoru, who was beside her, was leisurely typing on his phone screen with his fingers, searching for the name of the idol agency they had just mentioned.

"This company recently had many of its contracted idols and artists choose to leave, even if it meant breaching their contracts, causing a huge stir in the idol world."

"Ah?!"

As soon as Gojo Satoru said this, it was the girls' turn to be stunned. Their mouths hung open, revealing expressions of disbelief, and on top of that, a hint of disappointment.

Simultaneously, both Gojo Satoru and Chinatsu's eyes slightly narrowed. As Jujutsu Sorcerers, how could they not overthink such a strange phenomenon?

Chinatsu and Gojo Satoru exchanged glances in private, communicating silently through their eyes.

Chinatsu: Shall we go take a look later?

Gojo Satoru: You go. I won't. The most crucial episodes of the TV drama I've been looking forward to are about to air later, and I need to watch them intently.

Chinatsu: You can record it.

Gojo Satoru: I want to watch both live and recorded. It's a detective drama, and there are many details to observe. I want to be the first to find out who the killer is and then spoil it wildly online!

Chinatsu: ...Chinatsu was filled with complaints, so much so that for a moment she didn't know which point to complain about first.

Forget it, if she had to go alone, she would.

Chinatsu let out a soft sigh, then she faced the girls in front of her. She held up a finger and opened her mouth.

"I won't become an idol, but I can help you investigate this company," Chinatsu said with a smile.

Everyone was overjoyed and thanked Chinatsu. As for the 'investigation' Chinatsu mentioned, they all assumed Chinatsu planned to use her family's resources to investigate online, as even they weren't so foolish as to not see that Chinatsu and Gojo Satoru were a young master and young lady experiencing life.

After work, at dusk.

Chinatsu changed out of the suit and tailcoat she wore at the coffee shop and put on a casual outfit, along with pure black sunglasses to obscure her vision.

Although Chinatsu could use continuous short-distance teleportation to quickly reach her destination, Chinatsu thought about it and decided against it.

Jujutsu, as an ability, should not interfere too much with ordinary life. The Jujutsu World and the ordinary world should be clearly separated and not interfere with each other excessively.

Even without using Jujutsu, Chinatsu could choose to take a taxi for this distance. Half an hour later, Chinatsu arrived outside the idol agency.

Chinatsu stood with her hands in her pockets, looking up at the building where the company was located. Just from the exterior of the company building, it indeed looked quite good, but everything cannot be judged solely by appearance.

Chinatsu's special eyes gradually pierced through the surface, seeing the "truth" within the building.

"It really is a Cursed Spirit, and at least Grade 1..."

Actually, this country has a problem, a big problem.

If negative energy of the same level is generated, the amount of negative energy produced in other countries and the likelihood and intensity of Cursed Spirits being born would significantly decrease. However, in this country, Cursed Spirits are frequently born.

The scenery Chinatsu saw through her Rikugan was completely different from what ordinary people saw. Eerie Cursed Energy was hidden within this building, and its Cursed Energy even had tinges of crimson.

Chinatsu stretched her arms, deeply loosening her joints. Although reporting to the higher-ups before exorcising it would earn her a bonus, Chinatsu, being wealthy, decided not to do so.

She and Gojo Satoru had already been promoted to Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerers. Even without spending the Gojo Family's money, the bonuses from completing Jujutsu missions over the years had accumulated into a huge sum.

Solve it early, go home early!

Chinatsu took a deep breath and then exhaled heavily. Just as she was ready to take a step forward and enter the building to confront the hidden Cursed Spirit, she sensed the presence of a Jujutsu Sorcerer behind her.

Grade 2? Semi-Grade 1?

Wait, it's him!

Because Chinatsu possessed the Rikugan, she had a 360-degree, dead-angle-free, omnidirectional view. Even without turning around to look behind her, she could know what was there.

Slender eyes, wearing earlobe-shaped earrings, hair tied in a bun, a wisp of bangs on his left forehead, and a face that looked very deceptive.

Isn't this... Geto Suguru?!

Chinatsu turned around and looked behind her, only to see the Jujutsu Sorcerer jog across the street and walk up to Chinatsu.

"You're a Jujutsu Sorcerer too, aren't you? How about... we team up?"
