Chapter 71 - Chapter 71 Yuta and Rika (1)

The timeline briefly pulls back to several years ago.

Masamichi Yaga, who had recently become the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High, sat in his Principal's office, holding a leave application form and sinking into a long silence.

If it were just an ordinary leave request, Masamichi Yaga naturally wouldn't pay it much mind; after all, even a dedicated former teacher like him had taken several days off during his tenure.

But... Masamichi Yaga slowly reached out a hand, pulled open the bottom drawer of his desk, and took out several identical leave slips stored inside.

... Masamichi Yaga folded his arms and looked down at the uniform stack of leave applications on his desk. After a long silence, he pulled out his phone and made a call.

However, the person he called was not Chinatsu, but Satoru Gojo.

Masamichi Yaga: Hello? Satoru, same as always. Your Older Sister has run off again. You deal with it. If you can't bring her back, you're covering her class again today.

Satoru Gojo: Huh???

Listening to Yaga's words through the phone, Satoru Gojo's expression was complicated, showing both the painful twitch of his mouth and a sense of expected relief.

Make me bring my Older Sister back?

Ah, well, her phone is already turned off.

Satoru Gojo sighed heavily in resignation. Then, clasping his hands together, he activated long-distance teleportation and shot toward the nearest dessert shop.

Working, fine.

Overtime, barely acceptable.

But if he couldn't sneak in a few bites of delicious sweets and pastries while slacking off during work, Satoru Gojo couldn't guarantee his mental state would be sound, or that he wouldn't teach the students something abstract.

Elsewhere.

Chinatsu, one of the four Special Grade Sorcerers of the Jujutsu World, had become a stalker, and not a very professional one at that.

Initially, she followed the target without disguise, thinking that as long as she maintained a safe distance, she wouldn't be discovered, thus rendering a disguise unnecessary.

The result was that the target unit indeed didn't spot her, but during the tracking process, she was intercepted multiple times by people of all ages and genders.

For instance, she was mistaken for an idol star and asked for autographs, or she was harassed by thugs before Chinatsu knocked them out with a single punch. In short, it was really giving Chinatsu a massive headache.

Inside a high-end clothing store.

In front of a full-length mirror, Chinatsu, dressed in a hooded jacket, a black hat, and a black face mask, was scrutinizing herself in the reflection, nodding occasionally.

"Mm, mm, very good, very good. It should be much harder for people to bother me now," Chinatsu thought, extremely satisfied as she looked at the reflection that she herself could barely recognize.

The clerk behind her couldn't help but sweat profusely, wiping his face with a tissue while internally complaining about why Chinatsu's outfit—which was entirely composed of designer brands—had been assembled in such a way.

Chinatsu confidently walked out of the high-end clothing store. Just as she was preparing for the second round of tracking, she was reported by passersby and intercepted by the police mid-route.

Looking at the police surrounding her, Chinatsu, whose face was almost entirely obscured by her full gear, had three large question marks hovering above her head.

"Following a citizen's report, we suspect you are engaged in illegal activities. Please come with us," the police officer said seriously, continuing to approach Chinatsu.

The great Special Grade Sorcerer of the Jujutsu World being apprehended by the police—Chinatsu felt that various aspects of her life, including her reputation, were about to suffer a severe blow.

Finally, at an intersection unseen by surveillance cameras, Chinatsu secretly activated a Teleportation with the police officers, narrowly avoiding the fate of being taken back to the police station for detention.

Round one, failed.

Round two, failed.

After two failures, Chinatsu, who had transitioned into a stalker, felt her experience points were finally maxed out, and in the third round, she displayed what she considered a professional level of skill.

Target Unit (1): Yuta Okkotsu!

Target Unit (2): Rika Orimoto!

These two were childhood sweethearts with an excellent relationship, having already made a promise to marry in the future, even securing wedding rings. The speed and efficiency of their commitment could be described as "terrifying" anywhere.

However, if their fate followed the original work, Rika Orimoto would be involved in an extremely severe car accident at the age of 11, dying instantly.

Yuta Okkotsu witnessed the birth of this tragedy.

Rika's blood flowed onto the ground, forming a pool, and various negative emotions surged within Yuta Okkotsu.

He was originally a distant relative of the Gojo Family, one of The Big Three Families of the Jujutsu World, and harbored enormous potential within him.

Under such intense stimulation, Yuta Okkotsu unleashed a massive amount of Cursed Energy and cast a "Don't Go" curse on Rika Orimoto, thereby confining Rika's soul, which ultimately led to the creation of the Overly Cursed Spirit known as the Queen of Curses.

And thanks to Rika, Yuta Okkotsu, a complete newcomer who had never interacted with the Jujutsu World, was immediately designated a "Special Grade Sorcerer" by the Jujutsu Higher-Ups.

Even after later releasing Rika's soul, Yuta Okkotsu relied on his outstanding talent to return to the rank of "Special Grade Sorcerer" within just three months.

Rika was Yuta Okkotsu's cheat.

But if Yuta Okkotsu were given the choice, he would absolutely never abandon his beloved for this power, and preventing Rika's car accident is exactly what Chinatsu is preparing to do now.

However, Chinatsu had no idea exactly which day Rika's accident occurred, so she could only rely on the weather descriptions from snippets of the original work and spend extra time enduring the stakeout.

Although tiring, it was worth it.

After re-acquiring the target, Chinatsu continued to follow behind them.

Although Yuta Okkotsu looked a bit dull at this age, his talent for becoming an excellent Jujutsu Sorcerer meant his reaction to Cursed Energy was extremely sensitive.

He would occasionally look confused and turn or twist his head to look behind him, his eyes carefully observing the rear.

"Yuta? What's wrong?"

Rika asked him curiously.

Okkotsu, having not spotted anyone behind them, awkwardly raised a hand to scratch the back of his head, giving a silly grin.

"N-nothing. Let's keep going."

"Okay!"

Okkotsu and Rika continued forward, holding hands.

Chinatsu maintained a safe distance behind them, carefully observing the two ahead and every intersection they were about to cross, ensuring absolute infallibility.

Rika Orimoto, she was determined to save her!
