Synopsis
When two students from completely different worlds—Yuki, a perfectionist honor student, and Kim, a chaotic gamer—wake up in an empty copy of their school, they realize they are trapped inside a fabricated reality. No people. No doors. No escape. Only a mysterious signature appearing everywhere: J.Z. As strange glitches twist the school’s architecture and an ominous voice whispers “Junior…”, the two must work together to survive a world shaped by someone else’s mind. But whose? And why were they chosen? As the boundaries of reality blur, Yuki and Kim begin to awaken latent powers—echoes born from their memories, fears, and desires. All paths lead toward the same truth: The Empty Hourglass is watching.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Yuki

Reality can be shaped—

As long as you want it badly enough.

— J.Z.

"Hey, Yuki! You're supposed to learn momentum here, not in your dreams. Please focus."

"Sorry, teacher."

"All right, juniors. In inelastic collisions—"

Damn it.

I skip my perfectly structured routine one time and everything collapses like dominoes.

My balance is completely off; I hate this feeling.

That pointless family visit dragged on forever, and all the time I had set aside for studying got pushed late into the night.

And I didn't even want to go.

Because I slept way past my usual bedtime, my eyelids keep closing during physics, of all classes.

My body feels heavy, drained.

"Yuki, did you get the topic?"

My desk partner whispers. I'm in no condition to respond.

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Please just mind your own work."

"Same old you…"

The only bad part about this prestigious public school is the two-person desks.

If the girl next to me didn't exist, life would be much easier.

"And with that, we're done with momentum. Any questions?"

I'll have to review everything again at home.

The bell's about to ring anyway.

How did I even survive until the final class?

It's already getting dark outside.

Since we're done with the topic, maybe closing my eyes for just a moment won't hurt…

I never sleep at school, but my body feels unusually heavy today.

I'm not planning to sleep.

Just… rest my eyes a little.

Slowly, I let them close.
